Although a nice sized store, layout is quite sporadic and on a bad day, when you need to find an item in a hurry, you can be chasing a memb er of staff around the store for ages as they do not seem to know where things are either! On the flip side, there are some great bargains to be had and some members of staff (not enough sadly) are very knowledgeable and helpful. Recently, self service tills have been introduced these would be a great bonus if it weren't for a couple of over zealous staff who insist on over seeing every move, thus making it slower to use these tills than the standard ones!

I bought a really sweet cookie jar from here at a great price compared to other shops. Theres also garden stuff in here, rugs, carpet tiles. Theres a bit upstairs with pictures for sale and also a cafe if you would like tea and a slice of cake. There is also an old fashioned sweet shop stall downstairs on the left of the store. Great for a good quality pick n mix, especially now woolies is gone :(

The whole shop has been given a new lease of life, and there is even a beautiful little cafe now. What was once a half empty shop filled with the voice of a screeching manager (now apparently gone, thank goodness), is now a serene and inspirational gardening experience. We came down on a sunny weekday and had a wander around the shop indoor and out, and came up with some great ideas for our garden. The staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful in giving us advice on pairing shrubs this season. We also took the time to stop in the pretty little garden cafe, (a bit of a haven from the road outside,) which had an impressive selection of treats and nibbles.

We never leave empty handed! Lots of car parking out the front which is pay and display but there are two parking spaces free for customers at the rear of the shop - we always use them.
