This is my first time at this Target yesterday, besides drive up, and I can't believe the service that I've received there. I was with my cousin, niece and sister. When we walked in we couldn't help but noticed that their Starbucks cup was fully stocked and we wanted to see what they had. I saw three employees behind the counter and they were going over something together. I didn't mean the bother them but I also I just wanted to know if they were open and if they weren't, then it's okay. When I went over I said "excuse me" nicely and twice and by the time they noticed me, they looked up, annoyed, and just said "we're closed!" loudly, before I could even say anything. I thought it was so rude so I looked at them said "okay" and walked away. My sister saw what happened and she said "let's just go". After that we continued shopping and grabbed everything we wanted and proceeded to checkout. My cousin and I were at checkout and my sister had a return and she went to the exchange and returns line. By the time we were done with the checkout, my sister was done with the return as well. I saw her face and she was in disbelief and I asked her what happened and she told me that at the end of the exchange, while getting the receipt, the employee tossed the receipt at her. At this point, I was just flabbergasted at the treatment that we were receiving by these employees. I've worked at target before and I know it's not the best working there but I wouldn't treat a guest the way they did to us. I don't think I could return back to that location. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. I'd refund my one star but they'd probably throw the receipt at me too! read more

This place is always overcrowded and messy. The lines are always huge every time I go there and finding help is next to impossible because there are so few employees. I think the management are cheapskates and don't want to hire more employees, because they never have enough people working the registers either. Don't bother calling them, either. Nobody ever answers the phones no matter which department you call. Really poorly run store, management should be replaced with someone competent. read more

Barry in Electronics did his utmost to find me what I was looking for. I sure appreciate his helpfulness and going the extra mile. There was a short young pretty lady employee who was in electronics who was there and she too told me that she'd walk me to where she believed the item I wanted might be. I like this Target because of its convenient location. It is in the same plaza as Trader Joe's and Safeway and Food Maxx is a plaza across. I took one star off for the bathrooms. They can be very dirty. To be honest, I haven't been inside their bathrooms since the pandemic started. I am not sure how often cleaning is done, but they may want to increase it. Also, customers should be mindful when using the bathrooms. Overall, I think the store is clean, organized, and well stocked (for the most part). With the pandemic, they can have no or running low on paper products like toilet paper/paper towels, cleaning supplies). I am glad they have the self checkout counters. I appreciate the employees wiping down the counters after every customer. The employees also disinfect the carts, which I am grateful they still do. Curbside pickup is also very convenient and easy to do online or via the app. I use the app for curbside pickup many times. You let them know when you are on the way, what type of car you have, and its color. Once I tap on "I'm here." I usually see the employee coming out the door and have been impressed with how quick the delivery to the car is! read more

***Covid19 Edition*** My first foray back into the closest Target to my house. Pretty shocking that nobody is cleaning the carts and worse no wipes to DIY!! The Pacific Commons Target has a dedicated worker sterilizing carts and welcoming you into the store. Oh well at least they are open clean and well stocked. They are cleaning & sterilizing the conveyor belts and register areas in between each customer, hand sanitizer available to you. 3 miles between stores, miles apart in management. Thank you for fixing the issues I mentioned earlier this year. Respect comes a long way and no one should feel like they are being judged and disrespected in the store. Who ever I complained about previously still work here but at least they are doing their job accordingly. Please keep it respectful (like the way I've been seeing it when I was there after my previous review). I found out some of these employees are not even 21 years old yet. I just want to let them know that respect comes a long way and that they should learn how to respect everyone. I know they are doing their best and with me saying this and them reading this, they should be able to find out that respecting patrons will lead these employees (and this place) to be recommended. In other words, every employee that I've seen so far (even the ones I complained about) after my previous review is good here now and I hope it stays that way. However, I could not raise the stars higher than how it is because of the other people (patrons) and especially the homeless people who try to trash this place (especially the bathroom). This Target doesn't care about health issues, especially for COVID. Someone tested positive for corona and told them "It's up to you to come in or not." It's crazy to see which businesses takes care of employees and which ones don't. It's not right to spread this disease to employees and patrons when you know who has it. Please take care of your employees more and take the time to disinfect the whole store. read more

With all the craziness going on all stores are not the same. Target is just like every place else. Low on stock on the items everyone is hoarding or desperately needs. We arrived around 4:30 in the afternoon and for the most part is was dead. Target is doing all they can to protect people with the 6 feet lines spaces to enter, wiping down carts and constantly reminding people over the intercom to stay away from each other. This location has always been a favorite of ours and we continue to shop here. FYI they don't always have the good baseball cards. read more

This is my preferred Target store in Fremont. Regular here for around 6-7 years. Quite big and you will always find whatever you are looking for. Ever since the pandemic begun, I use their pick up at store facility a lot. This review is more focused on that. Never had a single problem for the numerous pick up in store orders I placed here. Pick up was always easy even though there will be a long line at times. They had the pick up and return at the same place, which makes it a little difficult in terms of waiting time. Since they started the revamping of the pickup counter, it's been very smooth. They have a makeshift counter for pickup and that's really fast. Checkout during the rush our is always tough here, despite having numerous checkout counters and self checkout, there's always a long line. Their customer service desk is awful, since they refused to honor a price match ($26 difference) with a regular Amazon price of the exact same model. The woman incorrectly claimed that Amazon Prime items could not be price matched. However, she failed to understand that Amazon Prime only affects the shipping fee of this item. Later on, I found the same lower price from Walmart and Bed Bath and Beyond. This customer service person did not understand Target's own price match policy. Located in the large Fremont Hub shopping center. This Target I think is a little bit older than some of the other ones but still loads better than other big box competitor chains, like way way better. Parking was not bad on the day I visited but I think I just got lucky. I can see this center getting very crowded with all the stores in the Fremont Hub. There were some homeless in the area near bart and the shopping center. Fremont was more busy than I was expecting. I thought it was going to be more suburban and quiet but not really the case. This store is always more expensive than somewhere like Walmart, but for a higher quality item, it's usually worth the cost. Many of their items can be found on Amazon for a lot cheaper but if you shop around for weekly specials and clearance items, you can save yourself a lot of money. read more

The Target in Fremont; CA on Walnut, needs to clean up their parking area. It was filthy when we went there the other day. Other Target at Pacific Commons is a lot cleaner & has more of the items we need. I've been to many Target stores in other cities, and this one on Walnut needs some work. read more

This is the worse location I've been to. The bathrooms are filthy, the carts have trash in them, the overall store is a mess (stuff everywhere). Employees are not friendly. My daughter and I were standing in line for about 7 minutes. Cashier seen us standing there the entire time. All of a sudden she says she's closing and can't take us!?? She has me taking my Items off and back into the basket. I go to another line (mind you the store is busy and lines are crazy). Standing in that line for about 10 mins. During my 10 mins wait the cashier that told me she was closing took another customer!!! I was pissed. After she just told me she is closing, I had my stuff out of my basket. Train your employees. *New management, please report to the Customer Service desk, please...* In all seriousness, the other Yelpers have really identified the big problems with this location: - Long, slow moving lines at checkout. Self-checkout is only moderately better, but there's only 4 kiosks available. - Lack of inventory. Whenever I'm browsing here, I see just empty shelves. It's as if the apocalypse is forthcoming, and everyone has raided this Target. Why can't this Target keep the most basic items in stock, like kitchen sponges? Compare this to the Target at Pacific Commons which has everything in stock when you need it. - It's a smaller store. That's not necessarily a huge problem because you should (in theory!) be able to find what you're looking for. The major problem is that because the inventory is so bad, they might carry it, but it won't be in stock. TL;DR: Save yourself some time and just go to the Target at Pacific Commons. read more

Someone please tell me Why does Target make sure to make Fourth of July a simple cart in the back of the store but goes all out with tuck clothing and big rainbow displays all June in the front of the store for people who simply exist? They used to and we see there is no energy to celebrate our country as a whole anymore it is completely lopsided. They now push the 4th of July as an afterthought ...as a summer sales event. No acknowledgment online that it's the 4th of July. They did it intentionally because you see how far in advance this store likes to put out decorations. Their budget isn't evenly spread and only gives certain holidays they align with a spotlight. Shame on them! 10 minutes to get my shopping done - 32 minutes and counting to pick up my photo prints. Customer service here is absolutely atrocious. Don't even bother pickup yo that little Red customer service phone cuz they will put you on hold for 15 minutes as well. UPDATE- despite receiving an email that my photos were ready- they are not here and are now being reprinted. So I'll be waiting .... for another 15 minutes. I remember Target being one of my first jobs and now this place doesn't even teach customer service. This Target is conveniently located in the Fremont Hub so we stop by pretty often for grocery runs, to buy household items, or to purchase electronics. Starbucks is also in this location, great for coffee and frappes. Parking sometimes can be a pain and it tends to be crowded during night time or the weekends. Store itself is usually pretty clean and well-organized. However, since it's smaller than the location in Pacific Commons, they tend to offer less variety in the snack and grocery aisle. Items at this location also tend to be out of stock. Employees are usually high school kids so service is hit-or-miss, but the associates in the electronics department are usually very friendly and helpful. Would come back to this Target for necessities. However, I wished they were more proactive in taking the proper COVID measures to sterilize carts and the self-checkout machines. read more

I've been calling target Fremont hub location since last week at different times of the day giving them benefit of doubt that they may be busy or short staff but my goodness a whole week and Yes I can go up there to inquire but that is inconvenience to a customer and that's why I wanted to speak to someone there prior to going so now I have no choice but to drive up there to ask simple question whether they would be able to exchange an item with regular and gift receipt if an item was bought at a different target location. Today I went to buy something, it was a fairly expensive thing. Understandably they keep the item locked behind glass. I waited patiently searching for an associate and ever time I'd find one they'd say something along the line of "sorry I don't work this department, I don't have the keys." This went on for 15 minutes. I finally located a worker willing to go get the keys to help me. He couldn't get the glass door open. He told me "I'll be right back let me get someone else." 25 minutes later of standing there I decided to leave the store empty handed. 40 minutes of my day down the drain. Train your staff better. You should be ashamed. Now I understand why people just order off Amazon Prime. read more

I hate I have to give this one star, wish I could give it zero stars. When I walked in the store I noticed a familiar face- the security guard who used to work in the San Ramon store. He's a heavy set Mexican man with glasses and curly hair. I greeted him and proceeded to shop. 1. The store is a mess. 2. Their inventory and facing is terrible 3. The restrooms are extremely dirty 4. There were teens in the back of the store opening food, and drinks and bragging about not paying for them. 5. Could barely find what I was looking for. After my shopping was complete i proceeded to checkout. As I exited the store there were police officers waiting for me outside. The security called the police as if I was shoplifting. They followed me to my car and down the street. So crazy right? I had my child with me and would've did whatever was necessary to protect my child. What's insane is I didn't shoplift, didn't plan on it, but was greeted by the police as if I did. We all know black people are criminalized by their skin which is a weapon to those who live in fear. That guy doesn't need a job as security or a police officer, he's a casualty waiting to happen. Either him or someone will be hurt because of him. Not only that the kids who were in the back shoplifting? I'm sure walked out without a problem. They were loud, obnoxious, and stealing. We're they greeted by police? More than likely not. I'm glad we still have a Target at the Fremont Hub, but it's not perfect. I wanted to leave feedback for management only, but apparently there's no mechanism for doing that in their online environment which shows me they're really not interested in feedback or improvement. This is not surprising based on most of my experiences there. It's just good enough, so why bother improving? So I'll leave my feedback in public. My gripe today is only about their customer service. Buying one item on a Tuesday at 2:00 PM. Only one cashier open with a line (a 2nd cashier is pointedly telling other people her line is closed when she finishes this last transaction) plus about six self-service checkouts also with a line. I get to the front of the self-service, pay with my Target Redcard, and I am reminded by the screen to be sure and take my receipt. I wait about 30 seconds and it's clear no receipt is coming. I assume it's out of paper or something, but it let me finish, so I don't really care and I grab my item and start for the door. I tell the attendant who has been standing 36 inches away from me that the register is not giving receipts, so she can do whatever it needs to get going again for other people. Here's the part that bothers me a lot. Instead of saying "thank you", "I'll take a look", or "I'm sorry. We'll fix it", she says "No. You're wrong. YOU have to reach in like this and pull out the receipt when that happens", and she proceeds to stick her finger deep into the receipt slot (which is not identified in any way), eventually pulling out a long strip of about 8 receipts that had built up in there, and handed them all to me. So strange that the attendant (can't call her a cashier, because she's really doing nothing) is defensive about a customer calling a problem to her attention so it can be fixed. Especially when it's messing up her efficiency as everyone on that register stands there an extra couple dozen seconds waiting for a receipt that's never coming. And by the way, if you know it does this, report it and have it fixed, and watch for people having this problem so you can quickly resolve it until it is fixed. Anyway, welcome to the friendly town of Fremont. We'll keep giving you our money, Target, and you and us will just keep feeling bad about every tiny interaction we have with you. Sorry guys, if you're not here for a negative review, keep scrolling, but it would truly be an injustice if I didn't. I've been told you can tell the quality of a store by the way they take care of their restroom, and let me tell you, the restrooms here are by far the worst I've seen. It wasn't just once, not twice, not three times, but EVERY TIME I go there. Their portable potty's they had outside during construction were more well kept than they have now. Trust me when I say, posting pictures would make you gag and turn away; it's THAT bad. Makes me question the cleanliness and management of the rest of the store. Walking around, the store is in disarray and I found a couple of their employees hiding in the shoe section on their phones. I mean, I get it, we're not perfect, I check my phone while I'm at work too, but cmon! The fact that they were sitting while shoes were thrown everywhere in the aisle? My mind was truly blown away. All in all, this Target needs to wake up or else the quality of their store and their "newly" construction will be all for nothing. read more

Went to this old Target at the Fremont Hub because I wanted to go to Trader Joe's afterwards. It was a crazy mess with hundreds of last minute shoppers on Wed 12/23/15 around 1pm. I wanted to buy a few things and of course didn't get those 2 things. I wanted Adele's 25 CD but I wanted to pay less than the $13.99 they wanted, Amazon is a lot cheaper so will get it there, but then I gotta wait longer to get it in my hands. This isn't my favorite Target in Fremont. The one in Pacific Commons is better in terms of inventory and cleanliness, but I often come to this one because it's close to Trader Joe's and Petsmart. Customer service here leaves something to be desired. I have had many negative experiences with employees here who are not willing to price match (despite the company policy), or go out of their way to help a customer find an item. If you have a choice, you're better off going to the other Fremont Target, which is cleaner, typically has a better merchandise selection, and just has a better vibe to it. But if you're planning on going to Trader Joe's and Target in one day, you might as well come here. read more

In general, I love Targets! And there's nothing wrong with this one. It's in Fremont Hub, so there's ample parking spaces. It's decently clean and well organized. Clothing is in the front of the store when you walk in. Fitting rooms are in the back right corner of the store. There's a cafe on the left when you enter. Service is average, and as usual for Targets, prices are good, too. You can get a girls onesie for $14.99! read more

Even though the governor has dropped the indoor mask mandate, when I entered Target at the Hub, I felt like I was at a Halloween party. All employees and guests had masks on. The clerk who checked me out backed up when I came to her check stand without a mask. Very disappointing to see and experience.
