If you like being accused of stealing from Suzie at self-checkout in front of a ton of customers, definitely come here! My family and I shop at this target on a weekly basis. We come here constantly for our everyday essentials because of how close it is. Since quarantine, there has been an employee who has shown attitude, given shoulder checks, and even outwardly judged my mother on what she buys, including purchasing alcohol on a sunday. Mind you, at this time, it has been allowed for years to purchase alcohol on a sunday in Indiana. We have done what we can to avoid her help as both my mom and I feel we are embarrassed and ridiculed every time we have her "help." I reached my final straw of staying silent. when yesterday my mother came to shop and a discount on cereal was not coming up. She asked for help which prompted a rude and loud accusation of my mother stealing aCEREAL and hiding it in her bags. My mother was alone with many patrons staring at that point, she was utterly humiliated as a woman of color being accused of theft especially it todays political climate. About 20-30 or so relatives shop here regularly and none of us feel comfortable coming here anymore. If you want to feel disrespected, Susie's your girl! read more

I came here on 6/18/23 to pick up an online order. I usually do curbside but wanted to come inside and shop a little. Found a nice selection of items so I went to the online pick up section of the store to get my order. There was one young lady that was standing there waiting on her order. No Target team member was around. We waited and waited and waited and there started to be a line behind me at this point. There was a male who was bringing in stock to the store and I asked him if there was someone else who could help at this section of the store. He told me a flat "Nope" and so I asked him to call a manager which I heard him on his talking device call for one. We were still waiting for a team member to come back with the woman in front of me order. No manager ever came. 15 minutes later, the team member comes back. I couldn't wait to get my stuff, problem was I still needed to check out. When I got to the check out lanes, there was a long line and only one lane open. I once again asked for a manager, none came. I then went to the front and saw a self checkout to use. Yay right? WRONG! I was told by a team member, "Oh, that one isn't working." No sign or anything so I had to get back in that long line. The team member who told me about the checkout not working said "You still want to speak to a manager?" I told her no because all I wanted to do was just leave that store. I definitely won't come back and based off my experience as well as these other bad Yelp reviews for this location, I see I'm not the only one experiencing poor customer service and it needs to be addressed. read more

Drive up takes about 45 minutes. The employees are nice tho. The one down the street on Indianapolis blvd takes about 5 minutes.

Always messy and the prices have gone up I do not recommend there is always stuff everywhere and the service is just ok.

Service at this location is terrible. Each time I have ordered items to be picked up, I would receive an email that they are done and ready for pickup but when I would get there it would not be done. They employees would do it when I would arrive to the store take 15-20 minutes to complete order and waste my time. The reason I use this service is because I have limited time and I have a baby but this defeats the purpose at this store. Horrible customer service and employees and I would not recommend this store. Zero stars. read more

They need to call in an emergency disaster team to get this Target in order. I was so stressed when I left there, and it stayed with me far too long. I couldn't even push my cart through most of the aisles without hangers, bras, clothes, purses, and every imaginable item blocking or getting caught in the wheels. This was at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon, so you know it didn't get this way in a couple of hours. The managers obviously locked the door and said "I'm outta here." To make matters worse, the one employee who attempted to look busy was completely blocking the cereal aisle. She had her giant rolling cart on one side and her body on the other and refused to move. She told me to shop at Walmart if I didn't like it. Wow. I won't be shopping at the Munster Target again, that's for sure. read more

Okay you know, the thing with this Target is that it's not as bad as Walmart (a root canal without getting numbed is better than Walmart), but it could be much better. The employees aren't the worst out there, but they could be better. The cleanliness of the store isn't the worst, but yep you guessed it, it could be better. The selection of the store, especially with men's stuff. Shampoos , soaps, shaving stuff, supplements, this area could use a big upgrade. Personally, I think the overall customer experience is much better at the Highland location. The store, employees, and most importantly the selection are much better. If given the choice, I would MUCH rather drive the extra distance and bring my business to Highland. I just think it's a better overall store. read more

This target is trash. They literally never answer their phones. I constantly have to waste my time driving there for items they don't have because they cannot take 2 minutes to answer a simple question. Their service is the worst out of any location I've ever been too. Weird when I am at work and someone calls I answer the phone, non of them can figure it out, any department. Spent an hour calling electronics today. Oddly enough after them ignoring all my calls, I drive to the location they don't have the item I needed and guess what 3 employees are standing in electronics. I will never spend a single dollar at this location again. I sincerely hope this store burns down. read more

I love the target brand but I had a bad experience at this store. They did not allow me to price match an item to Walmart even though I was able to pull the item up on the Walmart app. They said that the item didn't come up in there price match app for them to price match. This is the only target store i have ever had any issues. They don't have to worry about me returning anymore. read more

Went there today to exchange a vacuum. Security(Dave)saw me come in with it received a refund. Went back to service desk security (Dave) saw me go to desk services to exchange item. When I was leaving store Dave comes running as if he didn't watch me two times at service desk asking if I had made a purchase. Absolutely horrible customer service!!! I waited for several minutes in the self check out. While I waited I watched two associates having personal conversations. I asked one to assist and she said the person working self service would eventually be over. Well, when she came she first went to assist someone who came to line after me and then went to assist yet another who got in line after me. I was so outdone, I left my items in the bag and walked out, leaving the items. I'm sick and tired of associates treating customers like an inconvenience therefore I will no longer inconvenience this Target with my business!! read more

Generally, I am a big fan of Target. Of these type of stores, Meijer is the best, Target is #2. The stores are clean and well stocked, and the products are of good quality. However, they need to improve their customer support in the store. This is why Amazon is winning. In this case, we went to a store 30 minutes each way because I wanted to see a product before purchase. 1. I wanted to look at an iPad, but no help. I asked, no help. 2. I wanted to buy a moth proof garmet bag. First I had to define it... It still took 10 minutes to direct me where it was and then they used some code to tell me where I would find it. 3. When I finally found where they were supposed to be, I shopped around this area of the store for 20 minutes while trying to find help. None. 4. I ended up buying a small fridge, too big for the cart... Again no help or offers of help as we precariously balanced the thing on the cart to exit the store. Final analysis? If you want help here, you are out of luck. Save the drive and buy it from Amazon. read more

The Munster Target is a portal to hell. Their customer service department is one of the worst in the area. On one occasion I had an item ring up the wrong price. I asked if she could verify it and she told me no, she didn't have time to do that. Instead, she suggested I go to customer service, which I did. Customer service said there was no such sign in the aisle--without bothering to look. I disagreed. The lady at the desk said if I thought there was a sign I could bring it to her, because she wasn't going to walk back there. So I did. I brought her the sign for the product I had tried to purchase as well as every single sign in the entire aisle. I finally received the correct purchase price. Around Christmas I had brought in an ad for a different store for price matching and was told they only price match certain stores. WHAT? I can see saying we can't match online only retailers like Amazon, but why in the world can't you price match Best Buy or Barnes and Noble? I only shop here when I absolutely need to get something. I hate that every single time I'm asked about their credit/debit card. i hate that they have 85 check out lanes and 2 are open. I hate that Satan runs their customer service counter. read more

They say that Target has the same target market as Neiman Marcus, but you do have to be careful with quality sometimes. After all, it's not Neimans. Aside from that, I do like this place simply because you can find whatever you need here in terms of trends and convenience. However, I don't like the women's wear clothing. It's just a weird variety of trends and basics and I never know what they are aiming for. It's just that area that bothers me the most, because it's just not my overall style, and I like Target. Frankly, and not to go into anymore detail, most of the products are overpriced, like food products. So, I only shop in there for convenience. The only reasonable stuff out there are make-up, toiletries, paper and school products, home products, you get my point. You especially can't go wrong with paper (or maybe?). It's mainly that no matter what store you go to, these products are fixed in price range. So, you can't go wrong with that. Overall, it's an oversized convenient store. It really is. You can buy home decor and furniture out of convenience and everything else. Target is good for stuff like that, but I like it. It's convenient! read more

This place smells like a wet dog when you first walk in. I have been there plenty of times. After a while I realized that the smell was never going to go away. Other than that this is the same Target as any other. You know what to expect. 1 thing that kind of disturbs me about this place is some of the things I've seen in the parking lot. I understand this can happen anywhere but for some reason I get the feeling weird occurrences seem to be attracted to this place: 1. I have seen people argue. 2. Honk at me because they want my parking space. 3. I have heard of several appearances by the police at this Target. I am worried the worst is maybe yet to come. read more

This is my favorite Chicagoland Target. The store is clean and organized. There are a ton of merchandise. Since it's in Northwest Indiana, that means I'm saving a few pennies because of the lower sales tax and the merchandise seems to be priced a bit cheaper. There are always plenty of check out lines so the line is never very long. I do have to mention one experience. I've been using reusable bags for the past 3+ years. When I told the cashier that I brought my own bags, she gave me a blank stare. After a pause, she said that I could bag my own items. I told her that "No, you can bag them for me, I just want to use my own bags." She agreed but looked at me as though I had a second head. As I was leaving, she asked why I brought my own bags. When I told her that it was for the environment, she looked completely perplexed. I didn't have the time to explain the premise. Maybe next time when I'm feeling more patient. read more

This is just a great Target. The employees, are quite friendly. It's well laid out, lots of good clearance items. I am never disappointed here. I just went tonight and saved about $30 with coupons, that doesn't even count the wonderful sales they had. I'm a fan. It's extremely clean, 99% of the time, though I did have one really nasty experience with their bathrooms all being out of TP and all having pee on the seats - hence the 4 instead of 4 stars. But, it's a great Target and we go there a LOT. :) read more
