They do have discount deals from time to time and Target has their branded products like Up & Up can save me a few bucks. Target has always been my favorite of the super markets or whatever you call them. Especially like their style of clothing. Like I said before my entire wardrobe consists of only Target brand stuff. I also end up doing most of my grocery shopping there as well. Items are easy to locate in store & they have a wider range that I could easily browse. Shopping is easier at this location! My favorite location amongst the Target stores. The employees here are always kind, helpful, smiling, and phenomenal with helping. It's also the cleanest and most organized Target I've been to. Besides being large, clean and well-organized, this Target has a few things that set it apart: (1) In very close proximity to both Allstate Arena and O'Hare. In the parking lot, you can watch overhead planes on their descent and see landing gear. It's quite loud. (2) Snack bar area sells ice cream. For my purposes, dark chocolate ice cream; $1.29 for a very generous scoop (best ice cream deal anywhere) (3) It sells alcohol (4) It has a Portrait Studio #4 was my reason for checking it out (on Mike O's recommendation), for pics for my 3 year old. Had an appointment for 5:20 on Saturday. As it was the weekend, it was jammed. Didn't get in 'til 6. But there is that glass-covered sand table to keep kids occupied. Despite us being the last appt. of the day, our photographer was friendly, patient and didn't rush us. (her name is Isima, I think). We got good shots. We brought stuffed animals from home, which helped. They have some props there, including a pink feather boa which my daughter took a shine to. Give yourself time to spend choosing what you want to order. (you can always order more online). We went for the smallest package: two 8 X 10s, four 5 X 7s, four 3 X 5s, 8 wallets. Price was $98, but I had a 50% off coupon from the Entertainment Book. Its a good alternative to pricier places like Picture People, esp. if you're happy with straightforward photos. The experience was pleasant enough that we rewarded ourselves with ice cream. But even if it hadn't, ... did I mention this Target sells alcohol? read more

When I walk in here, I get a nice warm whiff of popcorn, not an older person smiling at me and wishing me to have a good day. I get left alone to do my shopping in peace. Their carts, for the most part, don't wobble (though use a hand basket: you won't buy too much if you have to hand carry it). The check out lines are improving but you can still expect a few delays. On your way out, take a nice whiff of that popcorn again. The parking lot is rarely full which means lots of elbow room inside. Glorious. -1 star for the what-i-think-is 3 minute wait for a light change to hop on Manheim. :update 2/25/08: Their optical manager,Chris Bush, is a stud. Not only did he fix some glasses quickly, but he also dished out hard cases by the handful. Just don't mind his music from his laptop. read more

You'd think in this crisis that they would want to fire the workers who don't bring anything to the table. Apparently this Target believes in the opposite. They almost make Jewel-Osco employees look like knights in shining armor. You have to hunt down employees to get an answer about something. Sure, they have those red phones, but I remember a world where each section had someone there, or at least 3 people running around in the vicinity. Never had I been questioned about a return except for 'Is there anything wrong with it?" Now, I was refused a return because the shirt I bought and took out of the bag ONCE had some animal hair on it that was there to begin with. So I had to take it home and lint roller it so I could take it back. When there are people waiting to be helped it's nice to at least acknowledge them. Say, "Hey, I'm helping another customer, but I'll be with you as soon as possible." Nope. They don't do that here. That would make sense. It's much better to leave your customer standing there with product in hand for 10 minutes before they get fed up and walk away without a purchase. Oh, and I hear that if you want customers to come to your aisle to check out that looking at them like they are crazy and telling them to come to your register isn't the way to go. You might want to try illuminating your sign. Just saying. read more

My review update is limited to the photo studio here. We've been customers for years and we probably won't be coming here again. The little photo studio next to the pharmacy used to be great for getting the kids' Christmas photos or other occasions professionally and reasonably priced. Now it has become a chaotic mess over there. Last year (2013) we had a photo appointment to be the first scheduled shoot of the day, so surely there would be no delays. Well, from the moment we walked in, the 2 employees were scrambling. Their computer equipment was not working and they were on the phone with corporate trying to get back online. So that is how the first 25 minutes went. Then the next 2 sets of scheduled photo appointments arrived, still not up and running. OK, so we got our pictures done finally. Outside the door of the studio, the place was crowded with parents, crying babies and overdressed little girls crying too. There is only one photo room and two employees frantically taking pictures, answering calls and helping customers select photos for their orders. Delays had us waiting for another 45 minutes for our pics to be ready to review and order. Once we got back after a prolonged shopping trip through the store, they were too busy to help us make the selections, pay and get out the door. The crowd only got worse as the backlogged studio snowballed into even longer delays by then. I'll have none of that circus again. I've found that hiring and independent photographer helps you get good results at less overall cost and better pictures too, plus they don't overschedule themselves like this place. I feel sorry for the people working the studio that they have to go through this, plus all the people who come here hoping to have a pleasant photo shoot. read more

This Target was right next to the Allstate Arena so we decided to stop by before the Wolves game and it was not crowded. Probably the first time that I went into a Target that wasn't crowded. Customer service was pretty friendly and it had your basic stuff. Gotta love the sales and the fact that they accepted my coupons, too. It's in a great location in Rosemont which is nearby O'Hare so if you had your shampoo or toothpaste confiscated at the airport security line, here's a good place to pick up some necessities. read more

I love the Portrait Studio here. Lori, the photographer, and Meghan, the woman who designs/helps you pick your photos, were great. Lori is so patient and works so well with kids. Last weekend we observed some parents be very rude to this staff. They handled it so well. They are so patient and kind and try to get everyone's kids to actually smile for their photos. Sometimes this takes time and sometimes they run a little late, but it's all in the name of each family getting the best photos they can. Please be patient and recognize how amazing this team is for dealing with kids all day long! My only request is: Come on Target Portrait Studios Corporate!!! It's 2014! If people pay to get electronic copies of their pictures, which by the way is crazy expensive, PLEASE either let the staff make the CD there before we leave OR make them downloadable at high resolution from your website - - - do not make us wait a week to pick up a CD like it's 1998. read more

Clean and organized, for the most part. It's in a convenient location and it's really big so chances are you'll find what you're looking for. They also have a lot of lines open most of the time for quicker checkouts. Their self-checkouts are also pretty efficient. I have never left any review in Yelp. However, after a series of unpleasant and disappointing experience at one of my favorite retail chain due to one individual, I decided to leave one. And it has always been with an extremely unprofessional and disrespecful employee at customer service named "Jill." To give one example, I recently went to target on a weekend to shop with my wife and 2 years old daughter. While looking around, we found a wooden toy box furniture at a clearance section. Usually, there is a clearance label on each item but this particular item did't have one. However, there were multiple boxes and even a floor model under the clearance sign. We decided to take it to the customer service to double check if the item is on sale. We went to customer service and kindly explained the situation and asked for a quick check. As a young lady at the desk was about to check in the system, Jill bluntly interrupted and said "No. That's not on sale." When I tried to explain that there was even a floor model at the clearance section, she immediately cut me off and started accusing me for misplacing an item to get discount. First of all, that floor model is at least 40 pounds and I would never waste my energy moving that just to save 25 dollars. Second, it was humiliating and truly heart breaking to be accused like that in front of my 2 year old daughter. Integrity and honest is one of my core values both personally and professionally. I don't think there is any way to justify her action when there was zero evidence that I misplaced any item in the store. Another lady at the desk tried to help by explaining our situation to Jill, but she refused to listen. This incident with Jill ruined my weekend and overall experience with Target even though everyone else at the store has been very kind. And like I said, this is only one example of many. I hope this review can help Target making the Rosemont location a better place. Please consider replacing Jill with someone who actually cares about customer. That's why it's called "customer service." read more

Every time I attend an event at Allstate Arena, I stop by this Target. The last time I went, it was very dirty with paper and garbage near the entrances but I think this might have been because of the people waiting to get into a concert at Allstate. It was a very convenient place to use the restroom before an event at Allstate and to shop around to kill time. It's a huge Target and you can find almost anything. Samantha did a wonderful job of maintaining efficiency and positivity in a very stressful environment. I believe Target should allow for at least a half hour for each session, but she is booked 15 minuets for each session. This means she has to take a wonderful array of photos and sit down with demanding moms like me to choose the photo and layout and size. This is not enough time. But she did a great job of maintaining her smile in a job that would make me want to start punching moms. Especially when a nearby mom started a scene because the studio was 7 minutes late. My nearest grocery store within 10 minute range. For the most part, this store used to be just ok: not too bad, not too great . But the last few experiences leaved me a bad taste in mouth. I usually buy from here cat litter and put in the lower part of store cart, because this thing is just damn heavy. And in my last few visits, I needed to get checked extra by door guard/worker to make sure that I paid for my cat litter. I mean really? Is it that difficult for workers in the counters to check cart properly instead of inconveniencing your clients on their way out? It's utter disrespectful, and I would rather go extra miles and getting cordial service than getting treated as potential thief here to be honest. read more

Honestly, I've had a credit card with Target for over 7 years and today I closed my card because of the horrible customer service experience I had. I wasted basically 2 hours on the phone after being hung up on from several different customer service associates. Sandra, Jennifer (supposed supervisor), Joyce and Dave (supposed manager) none of the associates were able to resolve my issue. They all kept giving me the run around and need better training because none of them know how to read simple notes on customers' accounts. I am so disappointed in target and their decline of customer service. I had one rep tell me that it's due to working from home because of covid which is absolutely a lie - they should still have easy access to notes if they work on laptops? So, what's the problem here? I've always had a good standing with this company and the fact that it took 2 hours and still to no avail my credit card issue wasn't resolved is ridiculous to me! This Target helped us out a lot since it was nearby our hotel, clean, and pretty much had everything we were looking for (including a sweater for one of my co-workers who forgot to bring warm clothes ). Alright, Target, listen here. I like your selection of greeting cards way better than any other local store. Your Halloween section is totally awesome and something I look forward to for months before it's actually anywhere close to Halloween. Your bike rack is in a convenient location and actually looks like it will secure my bicycle. Your staff is friendly, your pharmacists can answer all my questions, and you have some really great prices on certain things. Luna bars, oatmeal, and trail mixes all offer great savings vs. Jewel or Dominick's but without being so low that I wonder if it fell off a truck or can only be this cheap if they are ripping off their employees, like at Walmart. In short, I really like you. That said, quit moving stuff around! I understand that when you gained a frozen section, the other departments had to shift to accommodate that. You have, however, made other changes to the layout at least three times since then! This includes shrinking the crafts and scrapbook section to expand the office aisle, pushing out your once-great selection of embellishments to make room for themed post-it note and white-board sets that are clearly aimed at women in a way that's a little insulting. (When I came here to buy office supplies, I did NOT pay almost twice as much for the new estrogen-evoking, matchy-matchy stuff but used my eyeballs and picked out less expensive things that did not clash without Target's help.) You've moved toilet paper and paper towels on me again. Now you have home decor items in so many different places I don't know where to look, and you appear to sell just one kind of trash can instead of an aisle full of them like you had...last month?!? I'm not the only one who wants you to pick a layout and stick with it. How many times have I heard shoppers asking employees for a map? How many times have I heard a shopper ask where something is, and the employee didn't know and had to check? How many times have I inquired about the location of something and found myself misdirected? Nobody knows where anything is around here because it keeps changing! I'm going to level with you, Target. I want to give you your fourth star back. You are conveniently located and appear to have stopped donating money to conservative groups with anti-gay agendas. Your optical staff is super friendly and gives away lens wipes for free. You are even getting a real coffee shop now to replace that crappy cafe that was always out of something. I love this store! It's like the area's little secret. Despite the fact that it's in the most obvioius place, it's almost always empty! Maybe it's because the store is so big that it just looks empty. Whichever the case, it never seems crowded. It's always well organized and usually fully stocked. At times, I will drive way out of my way and past two closer Target stores to get to this one just to avoid crowds, trying to find parking, and un-stocked shelves.
