This has been our go-to Target for baby supplies since they usually have everything in stock that we need. We get formula and diapers delivered weekly and will grab bottles and other things as necessary. The staff is always really nice and helpful and this location is very clean which is also a major plus. 1/22/25 update: This is a nice smaller Target to walk around. A good amount of household items to browse through. Just FYI, they barely have any physical entertainment. They have a small selection of video games for PS5, X Series, and Switch. Nothing like before when they had a decent selection of movies. They also have a tiny selection of books. Primarily stayed in the Home section, but walked around the rest of the store. Picked up a nifty 3 shelf wire rack for the kitchen/dining area to organize a little better. This Target is okay, but like other Targets it's understaffed, not enough human cashiers. I dislike the self-checkout like EVERY SHOPPER IN NORTH AMERICA. But if it has to be, then give me some training and pay me since I'm now an employee. Since I'm very part time, I understand that I'm an at-will hire with no contract and no benefits but for the job of checking myself out I should get an employee discount. The lines are incredibly long whether self check out is orientation or not. I have applied numerous times tons no response. Now it's saying they don't need cashiers in Woodridge/Downers Grove store. The aisles whoever remodeled did an awful job and got paid. 2 people cannot fot down the aisle at the same time. You are always out of my size in clothes and asking your staff they will say go to another Target. WHAT? Can they get more unhelpful, how about ordering my size from another store. The customer service agents were great as they made it easy to return an unwanted gift and get a GC credit for what I really needed which were belts which there were plenty to choose from. I had to see a checkout specialist as I couldn't figure out how to apply the 10% discount and GC credit even with scanning the app barcode. Nonetheless, the Target team was super helpful and I'm grateful that they did it with a smile while other places their teams seemed that they hated being there. read more

today was probably one of the most questionable weird experiences i have had at any target location. my boyfriend and i were looking for some headphones and there was nobody in the electronics section ( which is okay because it was later in the day and a lot of the employees are doing other things & not around ) but we went walking around to see if we could find someone and the first employee we came across we asked for help and we were met with the most disrespectful straight face & a rude tone saying " yeah i'll get someone" and she proceeded to walk away fast. after that the lady who helped us was the absolute opposite of that experience. super sweet, informative and kind. that's what people look for and what you should strive to do at a job within customer service. if you don't have good customer service skills and don't expect to help people at your job, quit at that point. this is coming from someone who has worked customer service their whole life. please do better. the stars are for that last employee experience that made it a lot better for us read more

I mean, could I even consider myself a good millennial if I didn't like shopping at Target? This Target is smaller than some others, but it is no less wonderful. During Covid times I have been utilizing their Drive Up option (very) regularly. It's so simple! Add the items to your cart, select drive up (or pick up in store if that's more your style), and check out. Your order will be ready with in two hours! When you leave your house you click in the app to let them know you'll be there soon so they can gather all your items (meaning, you don't want your milk sitting out all day), and then click again when you arrive at the store and an associate will bring the items to your car and put them in your trunk. Even during the height of the Christmas shopping season, orders were being filled quickly, and brought out to cars quickly. Love the efficiency. Even when I do have to quickly duck in the store, the Covid protocols a great. Masks required, social distancing, sanitized carts, etc. Thanks, Target. Keep up the good work. read more

Oh Target, Tar-je'... j'ador you! I love going here to browse and peruse especially with my girlfriend. In fact, I was just here yesterday, TWICE! The first time was for purely food and groceries necessity with my mother. The second time was with my girl friend which lasted 2 hours. Maybe it's because we live in the burbs and entertainment is limited but we can always resort to walking the aisle of Target for clearance items and for physical exercise. My favorite part is the $1 section where I swear, I can always pick up at least one thing that I can use like a little nail file or a cute designer box for my letters, all under $1. Overall, I haven't had a service or staff problem with anyone here. They have fairly efficient check-outs and I don't ever feel like I have to wait too long to get out of there. It also seem pretty clean and decent. Nothing stands out in my mind as horrible, so a 4 stars it is for them. Oh, one last thing, if you find yourself going here at least once every couple weeks, sign up for their Red Card to get 5% off your total purchases. That is like getting 5% cash back for your credit card, instantly!! You can't find that just anywhere nowadays. Plus, Target participates in giving back to the community so I've set my account to link with my junior high school, so 1% of Target earnings goes right back to charity work and I don't have to pay a penny more for it. =) read more

It's a Target, not a mega Target, but it is convenient for me. I know they have added to their food department, but I was on the hunt for Halloween candy. They had a nice variety so bases are covered. We also shopped here for snacks for a road trip. Why? Prices are generally better than Jewel. I find some of the other departments lacking in variety and messy, and what's with that strange smell when you enter? Works for odds and ends but you may just stumble on it because of the lay out of the store. read more

I was never a huge fan of this location until my last visit when EVERYTHING I wanted was on clearance. Yippee! Though, it does seem like the pharmacy here closes really early sometimes,the medical and hygiene supply aisles are only about 2/3rds the size of other Target's medical/hygiene aisles, and most sections seem cluttered- not the 'as seen on TV' section though. That area is organized and clean as a whistle. And I'd like to give a special shout out to my new favorite tool, the Pedi-paw... which not only grinds my cat's nails, but my gel fill as well. All of their items inside are perfectly arranged, well-stocked, well-organized, and you can easily find what you are looking for. Their place is so huge, they have parking lot, and they have multiple entrances and exits so you can enter which side of the place you want. Their location is so easy to find and you can search their exact address online to navigate. This Target is perfect for those who have big families, bunch of friends, and even planning some events. You can absolutely find anything you need here and you can literally save a lot of money here compared buying at other stores. Target is such a gem for all of us. Shopping. I hate shopping. I hate shopping more than most folks hate public speaking, or going to the dentist, or kissing ugly men. Seriously. Eye. HAYTE. Shopping. Luckily this Target is here to help me with my problem. Since it is tucked away in a not so high traffic place its not so busy. Which really helps me as this the worst parts of shopping. Crowds, rude people, screaming children, even more annoying angry parents, people who... eh you get the idea. Luckily this particular location has very little of those things. Other than that its pretty typical, things are mostly where you expect them to be and of course most things here are pretty inexpensive and they have everything. One odd thing of note here is the high quantity of beautiful women I see here. While I understand this has nothing to do with a review at all this is something I've noticed with such consistency that this can't be left out. If I didn't dislike shopping so much I'd seriously hang out here just to try and meet girls. While I don't hang out here this aspect of this particular store is the final piece that keeps me coming back and making my trips more painless. Target I'll continue my patronage, but please start stocking more Srriacha because you have been out of it the last two times I went. read more

Today I had one of my best experiences at this particular Target, ever. My husband and myself went into to Target to find a replacement Christmas tree for our 12 year old/wedding gift tree that is "tired". My fear was we waited too long after Christmas. I was sort of right because the trees that remained were picked over, including one in a box that was a returned online item. We were having trouble figuring out the boxes so I asked for an associate for help. Luckily Jake was walking past us and "Yes, I am available to help you" even though he was working on his assigned tasks. Jake was SO helpful; looking up price codes, dragging out boxes and helping us figure the correct tree. We decided on the floor model so he found a sled and pushed our floor model tree up to the front of the store. Per my request, he even found a light socket so we could check the pre-lit lights. Jake even stayed with us through the check out process to make sure the cashier gave us the appropriate/multiple discounts. I hope Target is paying Jake what he is worth. He is gold! read more

I rarely go to Target, it's usually as a last minute thing, impulse buys at best. So far I've never had any issues with the products sold here or even the service by any employees here. The reason and only reason this place receives 3 stars from me is because of their 'fresh' produce. This location for some reason, doesn't matter what time of day I go in, the 'fresh' food, particularly the fruits.. have never been fresh, see the photo below. Ranging from their oranges to grapes, they've always been a disappointment. You generally don't see any issues with them on the exterior, but upon opening them up, I've on numerous occasion had to end up throwing out at least half of what was purchased, unfortunately. I would recommend Target get their fruits from a different supplier, at least this location should, I cannot speak for the other locations at hand. As stated earlier, aside from this particular issue, the service here and the competency of all the employees working here has never been an issue, I would actually like to think most of them here are quite friendly and polite, which is refreshing when it comes to retail employment. The establishment is always clean, neat and generally pretty organized. Still a good place to go to for your daily needs, I would just stay away from the fruits :). read more

Website falsely claimed that an item was in stock. Drove all the way to the store to find out that I was lied to and the item was not in stock. Completely defeats the entire purpose of having a website to check on an item if the company is not capable of keeping it updated. The person at the store that I asked about the item admitted that the website is not accurate because it takes 1-2 days to update. Seems like either extreme disorganization to me. Why even put that information on the website if you are not capable of keeping it accurate? I could understand if a person just bought the item right before I walked in, but for it to be 1-2 days behind is unacceptable. Target definitely lost my business in this one. read more

This is a very typical Target. I kind of like it because it looks like one of the advertisements in a Target ad or something. The store is always spotless. Everything is clean and it's almost always faced to perfection. This is one of the few Targets that I have seen that actually has all of the merchandise on the shelves and not laying all over on the floor or put back where it doesn't belong. I've always noticed there is a huge lack of employee presence on the floor at this Target, which I find odd considering it is always so clean, but it can be slightly frustrating. Several times at this Target, I've watched customers approach other random customers who happened to be wearing red and start asking them questions about merchandise. Lesson: don't wear red to Target. Parking lot is huge and there's always a place to park. Even yesterday, 'Black Friday', there was still a lot of room everywhere so we didn't have to park a mile away from the door. Nice. There weren't even lines at the registers! This Target seemed to have everything together because all of their registers were open and manned. Very convenient. No one had to wait more than five minutes and this is pretty normal for this location. I've noticed that there's a lot of associates manning the registers just to make sure everyone stays calm and gets out of the store. read more

I was sick of the never-ending construction project that the Bolingbrook Target seemed to be, so in the interim, this became the Target of my choosing. Unfortunately, the layout of this store is like no other Target. Nothing seemed to be in any sort of logical order. The makeup and skin care was all by itself, tucked in the front of the the store, while the rest of the beauty care items were tucked off to the right near the first aid items. Usually things of the same nature are kept together. Not quite so here. It took awhile for us to find some of the most basic of items. I did enjoy the fact this Target has a large fresh-food section, and was able to tick of my list a few things I normally would have picked up at Jewel (lettuce, bananas, stuff like that.) The cashier I had literally scowled at me because I brought my own bags. Definite turnoff. Plus one star- They were promoting their new grocery section- so there was a lady at the front of the store handing out free bananas. read more

Looking at an item I left with guest services after placing an online order and being told it wasn't available even though I was the one that left it with guest services with my name, number, and order number! My trip to Target this afternoon was pleasant. That's a strong statement for me because I hate shopping: spending money, crowds, searching for stuff with my bad eyesight. Did I mention spending $$? Since I'm a miser, I need to run out of everything before I go shopping. Well, I was in need of essentials-- like cosmetics and hair dye. You know it's an emergency when the gray hairs start popping up, so I bolted to Target with $15 worth of gift cards. Once inside, the bright, cheerful signs pointed me right to the beauty products. An added bonus was the store was basically empty this afternoon; I think I saw one other shopper. Also, the workers were friendly but didn't hover. I ran into one walking down an aisle who asked if I needed help, and the cashier was quite nice. Best of all, with my gift cards, I only paid $0.44! I would check this Target out. They have nice clothing at reasonable prices, groceries, cleaning products, cosmetics, and places to eat and have a drink. This Target had a Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express inside. My friend returned books that I bought for her son. I gave her the original receipt. The return was credited back to the card even though it was asked to be put on a merchandise credit so something else could be purchased. When the error was discovered it was corrected resulting in a debit and credit on my account. The next day the credit was gone and the debit/purchase remained. My friend went back to the store. The sales associate said a credit couldn't be made to the card so cash was given. Today the credit was there. Someone is not being truthful about what can and can not be done. My account has had activity three separate times. One without permission. Very unethical. Sales associates not being truthful. Very disappointed. read more

It's really a convenient location to run to, right off of 355 and close to a grocery store AND gas station. The baristas at the Starbucks counter make your drink to perfection. I always enjoy a treat when I walk in the door. Their smiles and the tasty drinks is a great start to my positive shopping experience. The store is clean and the salespeople are friendly. The layout is a little outdated (I always feel like I'm running in different directions to get some things). Their refrigerated/freezer section is extremely limited but what they do have is reasonably priced. This Target was absolutely dead, and clearly they have plenty of time on their hands because it's a little disconcerting to have 6 employees stand around you and watch your every move while you shop and not ask you if you need anything. I'm not sure if they were bored or what, but I didn't appreciate it AT ALL! I was especially put off by the Manager who had time to stand and watch me with her fellow employees and stare, but but did not ask if I needed help, did not even smile or say good morning. To be clear this was a young female Manager with a short, bobbed, brown haircut at approximately 9:15 this am. It's also customary note to girl with long brown hair in check out line 7 or 8 to say," Hello" when you are addressed by your customer. Who trains these people? It also might have been nice to help me unload the 6 cases of pop I had out of my cart rather than to stare at me like a criminal with the 4-6 employees and Manager standing around. They also might want to actually work and clear the 6 aisles by bedding that I couldn't walk through instead of standing there staring. As many other mothers do, we forget things and zig and zag around the store remembering everything we need, but they made me feel like they were watching me like a criminal. I am especially upset after spending well over a hundred some dollars at their store which won't happen again. Not only am I a mother but a very influential one at that who happens to represent another retail company. The entire experience was a poor representation of the Target company which, I spend a great deal of money at. I'd recommend they do some serious training at this location, including the basics like greeting your customer properly. I hope it's addressed quickly too because at a store with so few shoppers, they can only afford to be as accommodating and friendly possible to their guests. What a terrible experience! When I approached the attendant for the dressing rooms she found it necessary to finish her story with the other woman employee who was there before she decided to address me and ask how many items I had to try on. Mind you both she and the other woman did notice me before continuing their conversation just leaving me standing awkwardly waiting on them feeling like I was intruding on them. read more

Also, they are regularly sold out of basic groceries like eggs and milk. Tight aisles and an awkward store layout make for a less than enjoyable experience. This is the WORST Target I have even been to, and Target corporate has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. This issue came to light when I purchased a $450 iPad which began to crack after barely any use. I literally had the iPad for a few weeks and always kept it charged next to my bed and it was never damaged, dropped, or even traveled anywhere with me. When noticing that the edges began cracking with the slightest touch while using it normally, I called corporate, and they affirmed that it should be exchanged (since it was clearly damaged when I received it and it should not start cracking when there was no accidental damage) and they gave me a case number to reference when I arrived at the store to ensure it was swiftly exchanged and guaranteed I would encounter no issues at the store. Upon arriving to the store (shortly after speaking to corporate), the staff began processing the exchange and all of the sudden their rude manager, NATE, demanded to stop the exchange and said he "doesn't care what corporate said" because he was not going to exchange it because he didn't "want a damaged product". When asking him why it was okay for me to have a damaged product that I paid $450 for, he said, "I don't care what you say or how long we talk, but I won't give you a new one and I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO". Who tells a customer, "I have better things to do", when your job is to provide customer service?!?! I am beyond disappointed with Target's horrendously unaccommodating customer service, as well as this store's manager, NATE, and his unprofessionalism, rudeness, and blatant disrespect. Target has lost my business as well as my friends and family's business. Their disregard for customer satisfaction and willingness to sell faulty products to people (without any regard for quality assurance) is absolutely appalling. I highly encourage people to think twice before purchasing anything significant (or anything at all) from this specific store or any Target for that matter. read more
