I usually don't leave bad reviews, actually I don't leave reviews at all, I would like to thank the…read morenot so kind (completely rude) phone service of GLS BANK for giving me the push to join this review platform- I don't see how it is 'okay' to hang up on a customer just because their German is not fluent! I nicely asked in German if English would be okay and he did not even respond, did not even bother to try and pass the call on to another colleague that may have been more confident with English- he just straight up, hung up on me. I wouldn't recommend this bank for non German speakers, this is not the first time I've had difficulties over the phone.

I had…read moreto make an appointment for the next day to set up an account as they were busy, but the next morning it took 10 minutes and was painless. Got all cards and paperwork within a few days. But the best part is that as of this writing Deutsche Bank is the only one that has an option for English on their website. If you have no familiarity with the way banks and electronic payments work here, the additional confusion of translating from German makes it extra fun. This point alone is what sold me, but the service when I've had to go in to this location has been great. Always helpful and courteous.

I know, but Amazon England sent me a Deutsche Bank check) with no way to deposit it at the machines. They closed down Danziger Str. branch so this branch is one of the few left in Berlin :( - if you just start looking for a bank - better look elsewhere.
