I debated the wisdom of heading towards the tram stop in my strappy sandals and realised, once I'd braved the elements, that was far from the most sensible option. Hooray for the cab I spotted, close to the entrance of the Lowry! I shook the water off and jumped-in, to be greeted - in a very friendly manner - by the driver who obligingly drove me a brief distance away, to the closest tram stop. He was pleasantly chatty with a good sense of humour and didn't bat an eyelid, or seem at all concerned, that it was such a short (and cheap) journey.

I declined their offer - I am disabled but ended up walking to the safe place I had parked my car which was a strain on me - My fare would have been appx £3 - £4 and the journey was a quick 3-4 mins, I suspect a better priced journey surpassed any realms of good customer service - I called and was told that there was a staff shortage - so much for the claim of how big they are and well established ?? I had used Scotts every time I came to Manchester, now I won't use them ever again - If there was a staff shortage, why not notify me sooner or reject the booking? I gave Scotts an excellent review a while back on a once only posting review site - so I don't just review when it's bad ... The biggest successes in business are the companies with the ability to retain their customers and never obtain new ones at the expense of existing ones - Very disappointed ...

What was the point of telling the operator where I was going if this is not passed to the driver and what kind of Taxi driver doesn't know his way in to Manchester! WE are only 10 miles away! I had to use the app on my phone which used up most of my battery ( not to mention data time!) leaving me little left to book a taxi home (not SWIFT clearly!). As I was travelling alone with my two children to Liverpool airport, they sent a lady driver - the first time I have ever been driven by one. They were also able to give me a fixed price for journeys in to Manchester and the airport. Both of these prices were competitive. The receptionist is helpful and the taxi's are always punctual. All the drivers I have had have been friendly and courteous. I can recommend this company.

Was not happy was stick in manchester airport for 2 and half hours being fobbed off by the company telling us he was in the airport looking, when he was actually somewhere on the motorway wouldn't if minded if we knew as we could of gone to get something to eat while we waited instead of walking all around trying to find him and he wasn't there. Doesn't usually take too long to get a taxi, although be prepared to queue in the cold for a while if you go at a busy time, such as when the clubs are closing. All in all I would probably have to say that they offer the best value for money taxis and a safe way to get home.
