Had a great lunch from Tarme yesterday. My mom who loves Zaatar really enjoyed her flatbread considering there aren't too many places in the area that serve it the way she likes (albeit it could've been a bit less oily). I had an excellent rotisserie chicken wrap - the chicken was fresh and great quality. You can tell they did a great job of cleaning the chicken since I didn't find myself crunching on cartilage or overly fatty pieces. Their garlic spread and hummus are also delicious, Lebanese-Armenians always get that right, lol. My only critique would be the cabbage salad we ordered which (in my opinion) at $10.99 is a bit overpriced. It's just some cabbage with an oil-vinegar dressing - my chicken wrap was cheaper! Anyway, the restaurant itself is bright and clean with ample parking. Next time we'll dine in and order some of the great looking kebabs. read more

Such a pleasant atmosphere! And the food is fresh and delicious! Also, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, offering us advice about the menu since it was our first time here. We shared the chicken shawarma plate along with a couple of sides--beet salad (my favorite) and an eggplant dip that also came with two large pitas. It was a feast for two. For dessert we had two different types of pistachio baklava along with espressos. So, so good. Since I can't drink caffeine, I was particularly glad to see they offered decaf espresso. This is an order at the counter kind of place, but it feels very relaxed and the servers stopped by our table several times to ask if everything was OK and if we needed anything else. We were very excited to try Tarme and overall we had an amazing experience. I will say, this is such a difficult food type to do well in as there are many amazing Mediterranean/Levantine cuisine places. The service, generous portions, and warmth of the place are reasons enough for visiting Tarme. It's a family owned and operated establishment and the space itself is very beautiful with large and airy seating areas. It's a very large place. I wonder if they rent out their outdoor space? Anyways, We are new to the Glendale area and Tarme was our first restaurant in the area. Honestly we were drawn in by the outdoor aesthetic. Love the decor and vibe. The menu is quite standard in terms of the cuisine so we tried several options. Comfortably, the food is a solid 3.5-4. There isn't anything glaringly bad but we weren't wow'ed by the flavors. I think their Achilles heel may be the meat. We ordered a mixed plate and the meat was dry which was unfortunate. Their specialty fries (topped with a sauce, feta cheese, and tomatoes) was delicious; our favorite actually. We ordered a plate which was flattened chicken breast and I think this is where I was disappointed- the chicken had an unfavorable smell to it. I'm not sure if it's the marinade or they the meat was not the best quality, but it didn't smell right. The chicken was a bit rubbery and had some light pinkness; so this is where major points were docked. Honestly we'd come back and hope to have a different experience. I genuinely do not understand how this establishment has good reviews. The energy in this place is so cold and off. It feels like the McDonald's of Mediterranean food. The food is ok at best. But my biggest complaint is what seems to be the owners. I waited awhile to write my review but anytime I pass by this place I get annoyed at how rude they were to us. When a customer walks into your establishment a smile and friendly service goes a long way. Being rude isn't going to give you returning customers. We have ordered catering-style family meals for 10 guests for the holidays. We have orded big weekend dinners with many plates. Sometimes, we just get a wrap or sandwich for lunch. Very nice staff with the best Mediterranean food ever! Coming from someone who has grown up around this food, it means a lot to say this is my favorite kabob spot in town (next time my dads own kabobs of course). Have come to Tarme many many times and the owner is very polite and very inviting. Parking can sometimes be annoying because they're next to some kids play place, but the inside is very roomy and can fit small family gatherings and business meetings. Love this place! Also has an outdoor seating which is nice when the weather permits. Must get the chicken and beef luleh with the Shirazi salad and labneh. Tarme Mediterranean Grill is now a family staple with me and my loved ones! My aunt actually had recommended it and we decided to try it out a few weeks ago and we have been going back quite often ever since. The first time, I ordered online and realize the prices are different from the actual in-store menu. Just a warning that if you do order online, it will be via Clover and I paid significantly more than compared to paying in-person or over the phone. In any case, there are tons of kabob places in Glendale, so I have tried Raffi's, I have tried Tarme, and I have tried Panini Kabob Grill and Tarme still has a lot of great strengths, particularly because their plates come with delicious hummus, salad, and pita bread. I can't say the others offer hummus and pita bread with their plates. Additionally, I really enjoyed their wraps, absolutely delicious. With my many visits, I have ordered the beef kabob and chicken kabob combo (wayyy overpriced online),c hicken shawarma plate, and chicken luleh kabob. There's also a new family meal option that serves 4-5, which is pretty great. So whether you're in Glendale or not, I would definitely recommend some good ole Tarme. read more

The hummus has the perfect texture and flavor, not too tangy, and blended to perfection. They give you a generous amount of rice, which is so delicious it made me crave more meat. The salad is fresh and delicious, and the dried pita crisps add a delightful sweetness to the dish. The salad dressing is a tart vinaigrette, which pairs perfectly with the rest of the flavors. Wrote a stellar review on this place months ago. At the time, the parking lot was half empty with a handful of customers inside during lunch hour. Today, this place was hopping. Parking lot full, 90% of all tables taken. So happy to see people of Glendale, young and old, break habit and recognize there are new, fresh healthier ways to present traditional foods. Here you can actually taste the ingredients on the plate. Yes, hummus is made from garbanzo beans. And that chicken!?! Uh, so moist and perfectly cooked. I also love how you can ask for more condiments or pita bread if that's your thing. At the end of the day, I doubt I had little to do with its growing success because the food is exactly it's namesake - FRESH - and our community has responded with their support. Pretty tasty middle eastern food! We ordered the cheese boregs, which were crispy on the outside and filled with melted cheese on the inside. For appetizers, we tried the cucumber yogurt dip and the eggplant dip. I'm not a fan of eggplant so I stuck with the yogurt dip. We also got the tabbouleh salad which was ok, I noticed the parsley leaves were huge and hadn't been finely shopped like they're supposed to be. Could be a choking hazard lol. Their entrees are a pretty generous size. We tried the tri tip shawarma and the falafel plate. The food was good. We also tried the spicy feta fries. They were good too but I think Luna Grill's feta fries are juicer. Also, the sauce it comes with is extremely spicy so beware! I'm glad I asked for it on the side because it was too spicy for my poor taste buds. I also ordered the yogurt drink which I love. Overall, good food in a nice setting. went with a friend on a whim, we usually go to dune, or sometimes zankou if we're in a hurry. i've seen tarme open since i've moved here and was always impressed with how it looked on the outside, but i'm the type of person who is hesitant to try something new when i already have a favorite, and i felt like i remembered looking at the menu and feeling like there wasn't anything i was able to eat, as well. i was wrong. some of the freshest, most flavorful mediterranean i've had since moving to LA. i moved here from southeast michigan, so i have had some of the best falafel in the country (shoutout jerusalem garden in ann arbor) and dune has been a lifesaver. tarme's falafel rivals it. it's not quite the same beast, but is excellent in it's own right. we dined in, which was a great choice because the service was incredible. bringing us the puffed up fresh from the oven pita (don't grab it right away like i did lol no ones fault but my own), the garlic sauce is some of the best, and the fries were unbelievable as well. it's clean, comfortable, and well lit. i want to try sitting in the side room next time. the man who brought our food to the table was super accommodating -- bringing us fresh bread to go and extra garlic sauce; and the lady at the counter was knowledgable, patient, and polite. all around great experience. i'm honestly crushed that i didn't get to try tarme until my last week in glendale, i can't wait to go back! read more

Now, I will start off with the good: the food is delicious! There's no denying that amongst all the other Mediterranean/Kebab quick service restaurants in the area, this one stands out for its food selection and that everything is made to order (for the most part). Their falafel is fresh out of the fryer with every order (which means super crispy outside) and their meat never tastes stale or old. I personally love their falafel and their luleh kabob and steak kabob combo (with no salad and extra rice). The only reason why I have to take a star away is that their service is painstakingly slow. When I was last there on a random Tuesday afternoon, it was completely empty inside the restaurant (which is unusual, actually) aside from a Doordasher waiting for his order to be packaged up. There were 2 people in the kitchen and about 4 people behind the counter (2 of which I assume is part of the family who owns it). I ordered my food for takeout (a combo plate and falafel) and went to sit down at a table while my food was being prepared. From the time I ordered to actually walking out with my food, it literally took 27 minutes. And I tell you, it was an empty restaurant with 6 people behind the counter. The 2 in the kitchen looked like they were working furiously. 1 of the employees at the front counter was not only taking orders at the register but she was also packaging the food, cleaning tables, and refilling supplies. All while the rest of the 3 employees (who looked more like owners/family) pretty much did nothing while their ONLY customer waited too long for a takeout order. So just beware, that although this place looks like a quick service restaurant (not fast food), it's really not. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've gotten my food faster at full service restaurants. With that said, the food is good and I go back when I have more than an hour for my lunch break. read more
