We moved from one table to their table (since theirs was in the shade) with our already paid coffee from the next cafe which by the way we did not know they were separate as the tables were the same. We asked the waitress if we could get another coffee from her cafe but since French people have a reputation of being rude by not trying to speak in English, she may or may not have understood. Anyway, this is the first time that we ourselves have run into such rude French people. We've been in France a few times and have always had a pleasant experience.
