Last month, my boyfriend hired Atlanta Eco Cleaners to clean one of his rental properties in Marietta to prepare it for new tenants. When he originally spoke to the owner, Amanda, they agreed to have the property cleaned on Thursday, December 17th, as he had tenants moving in on Sunday, December 20th. When they spoke, he was only told that a cleaning crew would come in that day. He gave her his credit card number, and Amanda said she'd call him with the exact time that they would be there. She never called and never emailed a receipt or a cancellation policy for her company. On the morning of December 17, my boyfriend's phone died. By 9:30am the phone was charged and he turned it on to see a text from Amanda asking for entry instructions into his property. He immediately called her back, explaining that he didn't know what time she was planning on coming to clean. He asked if she could reschedule for later that week. She said she was entirely booked that day, was going out of town that night and wouldn't be able to come back out. He asked her to call him if any times opened up and reiterated that he needed to have the property cleaned before the tenants moved in that weekend. He never heard back from her. The next night, he checked his bank account and realized he'd been charged the full amount for the cleaning: $229. He immediately texted Amanda and asked her why she took the money without performing any services. She responded by saying that the cancellation policy was listed on her website (note that you have to go under the a secondary page, at the very bottom to find it). Due to this happening right before the holidays, they didn't speak again for several weeks. When he finally got her on the phone, he asked again if she would reimburse the $229, and she told him that she would not reimburse the money. He then replied that he'd write negative reviews on her, because people needed to be warned about her unethical business practices. She responded saying she "had a very good attorney and would file a Slander lawsuit." Funny, if her "very good attorney " had taught her anything, she would know the difference between libel and slander and the situations under which each can be applied. This woman is a thief and I hope no one else has to go through an ordeal like this with her again.

First, the cleaners didn't bring their own supplies and used up a tenant's entire bottle of Dawn dish soap--and the owner actually got upset when the tenant asked for it to be replaced. Before the job started, I asked the owner how much the oven would cost. She quoted me $25. I asked if the refrigerator was included, and she said yes, so I asked if we could swap them and just do the oven instead of the fridge. She told me the fridge was already done. She then admitted she forgot to tell her employees to clean the oven that day, so she said they would come back the next day--but changed the price to $30. I sent the $30 anyway just to get it done, but they completely ghosted me and never showed up. Taking extra money for a mistake she admitted to, and then failing to show up, is completely unacceptable.

I've had two deep cleans with them (2021 and 2024) and they put so much effort into doing a great job- both beforehand in preparing for the clean, and during the actual clean. My condo looks and feels so much better. They were so thorough! I was feeling a lot of conflicting emotions and guilt about hiring someone to clean my house but I was so overwhelmed with everything else apart from my house, and now I don't have the additional pressure of feeling like my house is dirty, so I'll say it was totally worth it. One more note, the cleaning was almost a week ago and my house still smells great when I walk in. I love that they use eco-friendly cleaning products.

The ONLY thing I could tell that she did was vacuum lines on the living room carpet. The kitchen counters and cupboards were not wiped down. All 3 bathroom sinks were not cleaned. The blinds were not dusted nor did any of the windows appear to be washed. The kitchen, hallway and 2 bedrooms and bath floors were not mopped. The front enclosed porch was not vacuumed. I could go on and on. I tried to call her and she did not call back. I had moved to another town to be with my ailing husband (who died two days before Wingates' Lena came. I had to get back before she even started cleaning. While I was there, she gave me a sad story about being evicted with 3 kids (including a 2 mo old) and I gave her $150 cash...over and above the $400 I paid Wingates. I'm out $550 and think this company is one big scam. I'm hurt, disappointed and very angry.
