We enjoy the food at Tassanee's. We had missed going for several weeks due to schedules, etc. Today, we were able to stop by for a visit and we enjoyed it very much. The crab Rangoon were excellent and hot/fresh. The sweet sauces is so good that comes with them. We chose Sesame Chicken for the main course with fried rice. The entree was outstanding - hot - fresh - sweet - tasty and very flavorful. The fried rice was equally as delicious. Our children enjoyed chicken nuggets and fries - and we learned that those may soon be removed from the menu. We would have bought pork dumplings - but those appear to be unavailable at this time. We walked in just at the restaurant's afternoon closing time. The hours posted on Yelp are incorrect. A common problem with Yelp. Anway, the owner said his wife was about to leave for the afternoon, but if we would hurry with our selection, she would gladly prepare our meals. Pineapple fried rice for my wife with seafood $19.49 and Basil Stir fry for me with chicken add a couple of fried eggs $15.99. Both absolutely superb, excellent, delicious meals. Generous plates of food. The flavors and freshness, amazing. The pictures tell the story. Even though it was well after closing, the friendly owner cheerfully kept us company with conversation as we finished our meals. Most dishes have a gluten free option (usually, this is just using a gluten free soy sauce and fish sauce). They told me most dishes are served hot, and their spice level ranges from low, medium, hot, and native hot. I'm normally 4 or 5 on a 5 point heat scale, but hadn't been feeling great, the past week, so I opted for hot. I should have gone for native hot. I had green curry with a mix of chicken and pork. Shrimp and tofu are both options, but I didn't see beef. Vegetables were fresh and just done. The rice was perfect. The broth was a bit heavier on soy sauce and fish sauce and bit lighter on coconut milk than I'm used to, but it was really good. I also had the Thai tea (they have Thai coffee, too), and it was sweet and heavy with spices. Very good. I visited while traveling, and I will definitely come back, if I can. They close early, and they aren't open on Sundays. Probably great for locals, but not so great for people traveling and eating late. read more

The only signs are on the front door & on the parking lot side of the building. Service was very friendly. We ordered the egg rolls (4 for $3.99). Hot and fresh- more cabbage than pork. Ordered the Pad See Ew with beef. It was more than enough for 2 people. Fresh broccoli, carrots, lots of thin slices of beef which were not fatty. The sauce was sweet & nutty cooked to order. I have to admit driving there from out of town, I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling but the food was solid! It's a small restaurant, very unassuming, but clean, and the owner runs the front of the house. This a young American/Thai couple and I think they deliver on the food! We had some steamed dumplings, those were a little on the bland side, but the red curry beef, pineapple fried rice and Penang curry were top notch, interestingly according to the owner the spiciness ratio starts at 1 to 10 for us common folks then can climb to 25-50 for the hardcore spice fans! The Penang curry was not on the menu but suggested by the owner it was perfect. In case you are asking what level spiciness we asked for we stuck to a medium 4 and it was just enough heat for my companion. I would come back! read more

We were visiting in Fort Smith over Easter weekend and had a few concerns because Arkansas had just lifted the mask mandate. We stopped by Tassanee's and although there is takeout only, we were able to place an order and said we would be out in the parking lot. Our food was brought out to us! The food was excellent (I had the yellow curry with chicken). Social distancing and masks were enforced. I highly recommend! This is a little hidden Thai gem in the middle of Fort Smith. First off, the owners and the cooks are actually from Thailand, so their food is authentic. Secondly, they have hands down the best Thai food in Fort Smith. The food is full of flavor. The "Fish Delight" is soooooo flavorful, yummy, and healthy. The Pad See Ew is one of the best dishes that I've ever had at any restaurant, and I've lived at many places. The crab Rangoon is also the best in the area. Lastly, their customer service is great!
