I was a little skeptical about ordering the drunken noodles but to my surprise they were very well done, not too soggy, but also full of flavor. I got the seafood pad kee mao. I went in at 7:30 not busy at all close to closing time. I ordered a Thai iced tea and my Thai iced tea was I think a 32oz it was huge, as well as it was made fresh. As soon as I was there to pick up my food. I could tell she made my tea when I picked it up. very nice atmosphere. The lady was very kind and the eggrolls were phenomenal, juicy and fat. read more

We found this place on our way through Amarillo. First, our server, Misty was amazing! She was handling the whole dining room herself and still was able to stay on top of everything. They are usually nice and we like this place but they were absolutely some of the rudest people I've ever met in my life for me and my wife and child went in there to try to get some food. Do you like your Thai food to have an identity crisis? This wasn't Thai food. I don't know what it was. (sometimes I don't now who I am and I just think about how cute you looked when we had Indian food) It was good but it wasn't Thai. It was vegan and spicy and tofu and delightful but it was not Thai food. It was red curry they said, but it was brown. I was a good reminder that none of us want to really have kids at this point of our lives. First time there. Ordered pad Thai and wontons. Pad Thai was ok. I enjoyed it. Wontons? Not at all. Just fried dough pretty much. And a small pea size amount of filling. Literally like 99.9% fried dough. That was a turn off. Friendly service from carry out. The manager or owner came out and made it a point to talk to me because I'm from out of state. Maybe he was genuine and maybe he wasn't. But at least he made it a point to be nice and asked for me to come again. Above all. I'll have to really consider coming back though. Like I said... It was a huge turn off with those wontons. Since those are a must have every time I go to a restaurant such as taste of Thai. The good thing I enjoyed definitely was the open space and layout. Ok so I'm typing this as I eat...the "pho" while tasty is NOT Pho. Having consumed pho from Dc, to Alabama, and now to the west coast, this bowl of ...um, red colored, beef filled soup, is definitely NOT the magical broth I'm used to. There weren't any meat options. Just a soup with beef, shrimp, and meatballs. The noodles are flat. I think the red color is actually a layer of grease/oil. My soup was served piping hot, which I love. But it was served with a fork and spoon NOT chopsticks, which I don't love :(. The cuts of beef were thicker than what I used to. While the soup itself wasn't totally disappointing, the fact that I came here expecting a good bowl of pho was. I'm glad I got this before jumping into the 5lb pho challenge or I would have been REALLY upset. Overall, I'd come back for the SOUP but I will be looking elsewhere for some real PHO. read more

Great food. Who would have guessed, in Amarillo. Authentic Thai dishes cooked beautifully with generous portions. We loved the pork dumpling soup, it is highly recommended, seasoned beautifully....not many can make chicken broth like this. We had spicy chicken dishes, just excellent. Just found out about this place. It is very clean. Waiters are kind, helpful and friendly. Food is excellent..although its the usual Asian type foods one ordinarily finds, it is very tasty. Large portions. We ate lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The sauce is in small bowls and not actually on the chicken which keeps it from getting soggy. The sweet and sour is the best I've eaten in Amarillo area. The rice is very good..not soggy nor too salty. The decor is tastefully done. This place ALWAYS messes up my order. Don't ever get their "chips" either. I ordered pork wontons and got these nasty and discolored chips!

If I order a single dish at 8:00 and it takes 20 min. to prepare, why am I still sitting in the drive through at 9:00? Oh yeah , because they take your money at the window and tell you to pull forward knowing they haven't made your food. Better question is why did I come back knowing they did it 3 out of the last 5 times I came here. They have given food to 8 or 10 cars behind me so did they call in an order the day before? Maybe if they employed someone not in middle school they would have some sort of customer service? I think I have learned my lesson this time. Honestly it's just not worth it. Per the manager "drive thru customers are not as important as the customers that come in to eat. We will never go back to this restaurant due to this issue. Taste of Thai has become our favorite in Amarillo. If you like curry they it is superb. Staff is friendly and you usually get a visit by the owner. They get busy at lunch but the service is timely. With the location pretty far out off 34th and Ross, any extra drive time is worth it! read more
