Good service. Tasty baked goods. Reasonable prices. Convenient for take out. Wonderful option for anyone who has EBT because they are part of the ebt restaurant program.

I was as so excited to stumble upon this no frill Chinese bakery and restaurant. I moved to rego park recently and I was worried that I wouldn't find many places to eat that I was familiar with, but seeing that there's this bakery is very comforting as it was a staple for me in Jackson heights. I really liked their sponge cakes and was thrilled to see they had cheap boba for just $4 for a small. The staff also seem pretty nice. And the storefront itself is very casual, no frill and local, which maybe not many people would appreciate but it was comforting to me. I cant'rate based on the actual food besides the pastries as U can only eat vegetarian/halal, but I can still see myself as a regular here!

Not a bad option for Chinese food in this area. It's still fast food, but they have a lot of nostalgic canton dishes that I ate growing up in Chinatown. I ordered a beef stew noodle soup, braised bean curd with fish on rice, sliced fish congee, and a salt and pepper pork chop. Prices are super reasonable, and the taste is great. I enjoyed my noodle soup because the beef stew was fragrant and delicious. The other dishes are on par in flavor but could be better. While I was picking up my order, I also ordered a roast pork bun to go. The roast pork bun was large and fluffy with a lot of filling, but the filling was just alright.

These are all the baked buns they have. Unfortunately no steamed Dai baos as I was made to believe they had. And even though they open at 7am they aren't set up and don't have congee ready either until much later. They should advertise real time of opening as 7:30am or later imho bc I was left waiting and feeling crazy that I was there at 7am when they advertised they are open already! That's why only giving them 3 stars.

The buns at this Asian bakery is comparablely cheaper than the store down the block- and for that it deserves four stars. Buns and cakes taste okay, not outstanding but just enough to fill the hunger pangs. The pineapple custard bun had a lot of fillings, but the toppings all crumbled with one bite causing a big mess. I wasn't too thrilled with their scallion hotdog bun~skip it for me. Many reviews praised their lunch box specials, might give it a try soon

Chinese bakery, cafe, and restaurant. In addition to the standard American Chinese stuff, they have Cantonese specials. I tried the dried baby shrimp with vermicelli. Good flavors, though somewhat greasy. Small amount of indoor seating.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.

We went a second time because our first experience was so good that we wanted to try their other dishes, and now after the second time, we can't wait to return for a third. We definitely need to return with a bigger group the next time we go so that we can try more of their dishes! Our second time there, we had the "Night Market Chow Fun" and the "Chongqing Braised Beef." Both were excellent! Probably my favorite Chow fun now and the Chongqing braised beef was so tender and had all the szechuan tingly spices that open up your taste buds and sensories. We LOVED both dishes. It had the 3 chili pepper sign and the server warned us that it was very spicy, and IT WAS -- in all the good ways. May not be for the faint, though, so be careful. Not sure if they can adjust the spiciness. We enjoy their "film set" ambiance, giving it a cooler dining experience than your normal authentic casual space -- adds some flare for a date night or for friends. MUST RETURN FOR MORE!

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. I got the wonton soup and pork juicy buns. The soup was different from other wonton soups with the addition of cilantro and some nice balancing flavors for the salt, and the juicy buns were your classic soup dumplings with a very nice rich sauce to dip in. The dandan noodles my friend ordered were maybe my favorite, they were the perfect level of spicy and so flavorful without being overwhelming. I'd go back just for my own plate of those. The service was quite fast, and it's a cute little shop that feels like a small town Chinese restaurant. Very reasonably priced as well.
