This place has my favorite donut. Full disclosure, I do not have a big sweet tooth, I'm a savory gal - BUT - when I gotta have that little something, the Cronut from Tasty Donuts. It is pillowy soft with a sweet glaze that is fantastic! I was told they make it with croissant dough which is why it is flakey and light. On this trip, I got a 1/2 dozen. Using the drive thru option, I asked for 2 cronuts and "surprise me" for the rest. While I didn't try them all, they disappeared quickly! The cronuts are the rectangular glazed donuts btw. read more

They are a few miles off the interstate and easy to find, but the intersection to get to them is a bit confusing. From the interstate, we needed to turn hard left, then immediately right into the parking lot. They have a drive through, but there is also a drive through exit from the next business so cars are coming and going in a criss cross pattern. It's not really a problem, but there is a lot of traffic in and out at that entrance, so stay alert. Tasty Donuts is on the end of a strip mall, so parking is more limited. We wound up parking across the lot and had to walk across the busy lot entrance. There are handicapped spaces right in front of the door, so if they are open you don't need to walk far at all. Inside, the donut case is right in front so you can get a good view of what they have. Their selection varies based on the time of day, but they were also making donuts late in the afternoon when we were there, so new ones appear throughout the day. Everything we had was excellent. All the donuts tasted and felt fresh. The toppings/ fillings were all good with loads of flavor. There was also a good amount of filling, so you could get some in almost every bite. Service was very friendly. Even the people working in the back were talking and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. This has become a must-stop every time we pass through. read more

During Mardi Gras they have some available to pick up at any time and other flavors you can order with 24 hr notice. The donuts aren't that good. I've actually spoken with the owner a couple times. He can be nice, but he can also be kindof an ass. I know some people that like the place pretty well but I think Krispy Kreme is 10 times better as well as Dunkin' Donuts. It's a local business which I guess is good. Thanks for not changing your hours to reflect that fact that you are closed Sundays and Mondays on google. We drove 40 minutes out of our way on vacation to try your donuts and the sign on the door said "new hours- closed Sundays and Mondays". We stopped for some treats today while visiting Chattanooga. The woman assisting us behind the counter was super helpful, friendly and kind. Below is a description of the donuts we had. I am quite the connoisseur of baked goods and these donuts were super pillowy fresh and SO delicious. I've been to many a donut shop and I can honestly say these are some of the best I've ever tasted. Even better than the original Voodoo donuts in Portland, Oregon. Stopped in on a road trip and we were blown away by the hospitality and deliciousness of this place. Not only were these some of the best donuts I've ever had, but they seriously stayed fresh for several days! I'm sure everything they make is delicious but I'd personally recommend the crobar, Apple fritter, and strawberry frosted with sprinkles. Their billboard on Brainerd Rd just makes you want a donut! Today, I stopped and indulged (wrapping up the final day of my vacation and well, we all know calories don't count when consumed while on vacation!) ;) I quickly saw they had a drive thru which was perfect as it kept me out of the store trying to decide which donuts to get. I quickly settled on a mixed dozen. The window rep was very pleasant and polite and quickly embarked on picking out the best donuts for my purchase. I made it to the red light before opening the box and grabbing one out...hey, vacation hours are ticking away. :) The donuts had a really good taste and to my surprise there were "specialty donuts" within my dozen... even filled donuts. You don't get that at other donut shops. Price wise I do have to mention that they are higher than say, Krispy Keene's mixed dozen but at KK you're not going to get anything special... just a dozen sprinkles, cakes, etc. All in all it was a good purchase and I'm glad I made the decision to go there. read more

Soooooo, I'm new to Chattanooga. I've been here off and on since Fall 2019 for work. Tasty Donuts was one of the first businesses I came in contact with while out here. We had a morning bible study that met at the Ooltewah location on Friday mornings. Anyway, I have to say Tasty Donuts are the best! I love Krispy Kreme, Shipley's (none here in town) and others but Tasty is by far the best of the bunch. The customer service is awesome as they have a family atmosphere. It's so hard to choose which donuts to get. My wife and I stayed in there 45 minutes one time. There wasn't a long line, there were just so many awesome choices to choose from. I trust this place! I'd say I'm a picky eater but if Tasty Donuts came out with a mustard donut (I don't even like mustard), I buy it. It wouldn't surprise if they had a mustard donut, they get really creative! I'd recommended everything they have but if you just want a few suggestions... Get the "crobar". If you're feeling especially sweet tooth-y, ask them to put chocolate chips and Nutella in it. Also, the Chocolate Glazed (pictured) is simple and fantastic. I highly recommend the cereal donuts, the Groom's cake (pictured), the Pinecones, and the Strawberry Nutella (pictured) It's dangerous for me live so close to the East Brainerd location! DELISH!!! Where do I start?!? This delicious donut store has way too many choices and that's not a bad thing!!! It was my first visit to this delightful donut heaven and I wasn't disappointed. I could hardly decide from the 50+ choice offerings. Everyone in my party chose different items. I chose two: the chocolate iced, white cream-filled and blueberry glazed cake. The doughnuts were fresh, light and delicious! They have every kind of donut that you can imagine, including some topped with candy pieces! Glorious donuts with a huge selection and sweet staff! I've been to TDD twice now, and both times the donuts were magnificent. The first time I went, my fiancé and I decided to find the place (easy) after seeing a billboard for the place while Krispy Kreme was closed for remodeling. What a stroke of luck! Though the shop was nearly closed, there was still a vast selection of novel flavor combinations and conventional favorites. The server offered to whip up some fresh donuts of any flavor that we wanted too!(This was five minutes to close, mind you, so we were impressed but didn't impose.) My most recent experience was also delightful. The server (a different person) knew a little history about several of the flavors and was eager to share information as we asked many questions. We had heard so many good things about Tasty Donuts while in Chattanooga so we decided to give it a try! While service is amazing and the Cro-Bars (croissant donuts) are excellent, the rest of the donuts we received were pretty lackluster in flavor. The cake donuts are very sweet and the red velvet didn't taste much different from the regular ones. The double strawberry was super sweet and didn't have any real strawberry taste as it was all artificial tasting. The Butterfinger donut and cinnamon roll are tasty, but very oily in texture. We weren't able to eat them all due to the excessive oil. It's a matter of personal taste, but we have had better donuts in other cities. read more

The product lives up to the name in neon - TASTY. I've looked for excuses to travel over to their side of town just to get a dozen of those delicious O's (as if the donuts themselves aren't enough!) I've sampled their coffee as well. A strong cup of joe is offered and a milky salted caramel latte is a delightful mate to any of their cakey creations. My favorite by far are the old-fashioned coke donuts. However, you cannot go wrong with any of their classic offerings. My children are a fan of their "fancy" selections. You can find on a given day donuts with fruity pebbles, butterfinger, oreos, snickers, and more atop their cake donuts. They are often running the special - "12 donuts for the price of 10". Be aware, though, that not all donuts are created equal in price. The more that's atop, the more their cost. The dining area itself is quaint, but would not be suitable for a large gathering. Ok, I've been here a few times now and the donuts are GOOD! I love that they have a drive-up window. I think my favorite is the Maple Bacon. I am a cake donut fan, and these are the best on my side of town, maybe in all of Chattanooga. I was running home this week from roller derby practice when I saw that the sign said open. Donuts until they are sold out, how can they do that to my will power??? I try to get a wide variety each time, but the twists are our number family favorite. The holiday ones can be so cute.
