came here to try the weekend Malaysian menu since i've been missing laksa and hainanese chicken since my favorite restaurant closed. a lot of reviews online raved about the weekend menu so i was excited to try it. we ordered the char keoy teow, laksa, hainanese chicken, and curry chicken with coconut rice instead of roti because they were out. everything was meh and all the rice was overcooked and mushy. the laksa was kinda bland but the curry was alright which was confusing. the hainanese chicken was a disappointment because that's what i was most excited for. the char keoy teow would be the only think i would order again maybe...but i wouldn't go out of my way to do so. i was really hoping that this would be another great option on the weekends but it didn't live up to the hype imo. maybe i just went on an off day? but im in no hurry to try again. read more

This is my new favorite place in DFW area after they introduce new weekend specials Penang menu. If you have been to Penang and have taste of authentic Penang food, the you will love what they offered here. My favorite is the cucur udang or prawn fritters. This is the only place you can have this item in DFW if not Texas as far as I know. The other item to try out is definitely the prawn or Penang Hokkien mee and also char koay teow. You can get those at any Malaysia restaurant but not taste like authentic Penang flavor. Fish crackers is another highly recommended item, again not something you can get anywhere. At this time, note that not all item on the menu are available yet especially the desserts, they will only be available summer. Can't wait to try all. read more

Their idea of fried rice is to fry the rice in soy sauce-nothing else. My lemon chicken was deep fried chicken finger strips with a dipping sauce served on the side. I've never had lemon chicken cooked this way before. There was more gravy and onions in the Mongolian beef and not much beef. The egg rolls were okay but you can get the same thing at the market and bake the egg rolls yourself. My husband had the egg drop soup and said it as okay but wasn't impressed with the flavor. I try not to review places unless they're really good, or really bad. Guess which one this was? I used to love this place as a kid, but haven't been back in over 10 years. I was surprised to see the place completely empty and dead when we arrived, but just chalked it up to the cold weather. Came here with my grandma and we ordered a cheese roll (tasted like the egg roll version of a cheese danish), the crab Rangoon (full of the same cheese mixture, and NO crab), the shrimp Lo mein (more like the shrimp so-plain), and the shrimp with "lobster sauce." The cheese roll wasn't awful, but it wasn't great and came with some sweet and sour sauce. This was a poor choice for something that was already overly sweet. The "crab rangoons," as described, had no crab and the pastry dough tasted previously frozen. The super tiny shrimp in both dishes were as flavorless as the rest of the food; my grandma agreed. The lobster sauce tasted like weird hot egg jelly. To make things worse, this dish was overloaded with an obscene amount of water chestnuts. Why add a flavorless ingredient that is meant to absorb flavor to an already flavorless dish? The vegetables in my dish were also frozen and not seasoned. How do I know this? Because I buy the same frozen peas and carrots mix to add to my dog's home cooked meals. Worst part of this dish other than the sauce? The mushrooms. I LOVE mushrooms and use them often, so I can tell when mushrooms are bad. The mushrooms in this dish were unwashed (tasted soil/dirt particles) and they were past their ripeness. They were squishy, but dry on the inside like a damp sponge while also slimy on the surface; very characteristic of bad mushrooms. I felt insulted to be served something so vile, as if they thought it be too stupid to notice the low food quality. When I order a shrimp dish, I'm expecting nice large shrimp, not these nickel sized pathetic popcorn shrimp pieces. The "fried rice" pictured was not fried, seasoned, or cooked in a traditional manner. It tasted hours old, and it was dark brown. I normally try not to waste food, and even if the food is average, I'll get a to-go box and try to make the best of the leftovers. This was a rare time when I wasn't able to do that. Its sad that nothing at this place is fresh or made with care. The only way I'd give this place another chance would be if Chef Ramsay did a 24 hrs to Hell and Back style makeover--menu and interior--on this place. read more

Y'all.... don't. We use to come here all the time. Not sure when the food changed, maybe new ownership? The last time we came here it was horrible. It didn't taste the same. The lo mein was soggy and tasted reheated. The baby corn in the chicken cashew was so hard, it wasn't edible. The chicken tasted tough and the sauce was thick and salty, like it was 5 days old. We called up there to tell them it wasn't edible and just told us sorry, they try everything in the morning and everything tasted fine to them. read more

One of the best tasting and affordable Chinese restaurants in Plano. Only place to go for Singapore Fried Rice. It's the best. Hunan Lo-Mein is excellent. Very good service and delivery is quick and accurate. Also the Kung Pao Chicken is incredible. You can order extra sauces or add cashews/peanuts/almonds on anything. You've got to try the steamed dumplings with the savory dipping sauce. Their fried entrees like sweet and sour chicken are much better than completing restaurants. Always get their hot and sour soup with a side of chips. Don't forget to order a few Eggrolls. Their online app is easy to use although it would be even better with photos of the entrees and a few more details of the ingredients. The packets of soy sauce are the cheap kind. Great Malaysian selection choices, which is limited in North Texas area BUT definitely not a big fan of Singaporean fried rice. I am not a picky eater at all but the Singaporean fried rice has a bitter after taste (maybe too much cumin? Or curry powder?) - IMO, inedible. We got Basil Flat Noodles with Chicken, Kung-Pao Chicken and Fiery Dumpling to go. Everything that we got was great in taste and texture and portions. My husband and I came here for the weekend menu serving Malaysian food. We were hoping to get the beef rendang but it was sold out. But we did get the nasi lemak (chicken wings, coconut rice, pickled veggies, peanuts, egg) and the chili prawn. Both were really good! But I did find a bone or cartilage (something crunchy) in the chicken. The flavor was ok. Teriyaki chicken fried rice - decent flavor but very oily. Wonton soup - the broth had a pretty good flavor but the wonton wrappers were extremely mushy and the filling had no flavor, or there just wasn't very much of it.
