Fantastic. All around great little hole in the wall spot for fantastic Chinese food with good service. You won't get American stables like orange chicken etc, but more authentic (I'm assuming) dishes. They're known for their hand pulled noodles and while I didn't take a picture of their lo mein it was really yummy! Huge portions - we ordered dumplings and 2 entrees to share between 3 people and had to take some home! read more

I was really in the mood for dumplings, so I went online to find a spot near the theater (we had tickets to see Proof). Google led me to Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles. There are two larger tables that can fit up to 6 people and maybe three tables that can sit 2. We were seated in one of the 2-tops. To split, we had 8 pan fried dumplings, their pan fried buns, and duck noodles with hand-cut noodles. Everything was great. The dumplings were exactly what I wanted - crispy and juicy. I really enjoyed the noodles, but I think I'd go with a different protein next time because the duck was a bit too oily for my taste. Service was quick and friendly. I would definitely come back for a pre-show meal again. read more

We got the Veg hand pulled dry noodles. They were different than expected and not the traditional ripped flat noodles we were expecting. We were the only customers here so that didn't add to the confidence of getting promising food. The taste was pretty good albeit soaked in chili oil (and more was needed) to enhance the flavors. As other reviewers have mentioned, if you have sensitive stomach, avoid this place as well. We have a pretty healthy gut but felt kinda sick after eating here temporarily as well. My biggest gripe was the presumptuous mandatory 18% gratuity and the 3% card fee. Had to argue with them a bit to lift the 18% and leave my own tip. It's a corner owner-run restaurant, why would there be a mandatory tip? The $13 dish quickly became $18 so minus stars for the clear bait and switch. Probably not going to be back here anytime soon. read more

Why it has good reviews is beyond me. Soup was tasteless I had two bites and was done. Service was not the best, but it was late and they were trying to close up shop in 40 mins. They had the hand pulled noodle beef soup out and dumplings in 5 mins which was impressive. However, quality compared to fresh noodles in Chelsea market was not even close. Chelsea is still winning that medal. I wouldn't come back here again. read more

Some of the best sick food it's possible to have! I stopped in for pork wonton soup and the broth was excellent and wontons melt in your mouth. They were a bit on the small side. The place itself is small, with only about 5 tables. Service seems good as well. I liked the calming Chinese music. read more

Oh my God so so good! I got a vegetable dumpling noodle soup from meal pal and it could not have been better. One of the most flavorful veggie broths I've ever tried. Everything was made to order so I had to wait a little bit but no big deal because the food was so fresh and piping hot. Unfortunately the shop is not wheelchair accessible, but I had an able body person with me who did the pickup. read more

I don't know why but because I always come to the entertainment district for Broadway shows, I always see this place and are always curious about the taste. Finally decided to try it and I thought it was so-so. I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and I actually enjoyed the broth quite a bit as it was both rich and lite. The noodles were also a good chewy texture. It was the beef that I was a bit confused about as it seemed like it was grilled beforehand, which is not a bad idea for this type of noodle soup. However, I felt like there was a bit too much tendon and fat in there in general which I was not a fan of. Overall, not a bad place for food in Hell's Kitchen although if I was craving noodle soup in the future I will probably just go to Four Four South Kitchen around the corner. read more

A quaint little noodle restaurant with mom & pop vibes. The service was quick and our food came out promptly. You have a variety of dishes and noodle types to choose from. I ordered the pan fried noodles with roast duck and fat hand-pulled noodles. The noodles were reminiscent of udon and didn't stand out too much- if I came again, I'd try something else for more hand-pulled chewiness. The duck was not deboned, and pretty good, but nothing you couldn't get at a Chinese supermarket. The portion was pretty large, and could make 2 meals. Yum !! a very small, "rustic" storefront that is definetly worth popping into. Pretty vast menu of all things noodle from soups to pan fried dumplings to those knife cut noddles with an extremely satisfying bite. A bite that is somehow notably comforting. Delightful service, I am not kidding. Condiments of cilantro & chili sauce on the table in containers. We shared knife cut noodles with roast pork, a delicious dish with some nice napa. Also, pan fried dumplings that were great, We had a 2pm show and had walked over from the Intrepid during Fleet Week. We sat at about 1:10 pm and were on our way by 1:40 pm right onto 45th street with plenty of time to spare. A rating might reassure you if you tend to judge the dining aesthetics, lol. I love the noodles from this little underground joint. I usually get the traditional, with seitan - also, I love that they offer seitan as an alternative to some of the other proteins instead of tofu. Their seitan is a little spongy, but the texture complements the noodles really well. Anyway, the noodles are always first class. Someone mentioned that you can actually buy their noodles and prep them at home, which I'm yet to try. Fast and diligent costumer, and a great option to grab a quick bite to eat before a show. read more

You know the noodles are freshly made and prepared here because you can taste it in the broth at the end. SO delicious! The workers are so nice and friendly, they answered all my questions as I am a vegetarian and some places use shrimp or fish and still calm it vegetarian. The space is typically slow-food style. I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times. The knife cut and hand pulled noodles are excellent. I recommend the knife cut noodles with just about anything. They are chewy and delicious. I like it as a soup with duck but that is just a personal preference. Today, I got a delivery order of pan fried knife peeled noodles with shrimp and chicken, pan fried roast duck noodles, roast pork fried rice, steamed shrimp shumai, and cucumber salad. The knife peeled noodles stole the show, though I prefer a steaming hot soup inside the restaurant, but as a delivery order, they are still delicious. The shrimp shumai and cucumber salad are tasty, but the hand pulled and knife cut noodles are the star of the show. Go here. Get those. Highly recommended. read more

Came here for a quick dinner after a broadway show and as a way to warm up in the cold night. I ordered the beef noodle soup with wide hand pulled noodles. The order was brought super quickly in huge steaming bowls. The beef was thin sliced and tender and there was crunchy bok choy and some spinach in there surprisingly. The broth was savory and salty and the noodles were chewy. Would have liked a little more beef and maybe some scallions for that aroma but overall a decent place for a quick bowl of noodles in Hell's Kitchen. read more

This is a hole-in-the-wall, mom & pop Chinese noodle joint with really yummy hand pulled and knife-cut noodles. You don't go here for the ambiance - it's about a late night bite or quick meal that hits the spot. Especially on a cold night after a show. If it's busy, you will be sitting at a shared table with strangers. One bowl of soup is enough for two people to share unless you're really hungry. read more

This is a hidden gem in the middle of the busy Time Square area, if you can find a spot inside the tiny place, do not skip it. You will 100% not be disappointed. First, look over the menu thoroughly because there are tons of different options. I was sad that it was still pretty warm outside because I couldn't justify getting soup, but it looked so good. I was really excited that they provide a pitcher of water for each table, tat was a nice addition since it was pretty warm outside. Next, the dumplings were so good. Fresh, authentic, tasty and incredible. Since we did pan-fried noodles, we chose steamed dumplings which was awesome. They didn't need any sauce since they were filled with flavor. The pan-fried noodles were incredible. Easily one of the best noodz in the city. The flavoring and amount of chicken were spot on. I can't wait to go back and try something new. read more

I loved this place. First off, whenever I visit a city - my Yelp is on deck. My group and I were starving and wanted Pho. Tasty Hand was one of the highest rated restaurants nearby. When we first walked in the restaurant was packed and their wasn't enough space for our party of 6, however the server politely asked another smaller party to relocate so we could dine! I was very impressed by their customer service. The food was fast, fresh, and very flavorful. I will definitely visit again on my next trip to NY! read more

Came in on a rainy Sunday afternoon with a group of 4. Seating is very limited and the place is small but I find that these hole in the wall places can have some of the best food! We ordered a few different noodle soups, fried pork and vegetables dumplings, and a pan fried chicken and shrimp noodle dish. The food came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot -- perfect for the rainy weather. The dumplings were flavorful and were extra good with the dumpling sauce in the bottle on the table. You can choose your noodle texture on the back of the menu, and I got the knife cut noodles in the pan fried noodle dish. I loved the super bouncy and chewy noodle texture, though the dish was a bit on the oily side (I'd still probably order it again though). Overall really tasty food, large portions, affordable prices and good service! read more

I had pretty bad experience at this restaurant. This place is the total combination of no good food, bad service and unreasonable cost. I ordered three items. Most of the wrappings of dumplings were broken and soggy. Pan fried chicken pull noodle is tasteless with soggy noodles. Then the beef rice noodle soup I ordered was mistakenly serviced as beef pull noodle soup. What's worse is they charged me a MANDATORY tip at MINIMAL of $8 while the cost of food about $40. So it ended up to 20% for the service I got. And this was not notified anywhere in the restaurant before I sat down. Imagine if you only order $10 food, mandatory tip of $8 will be like 80%. So be aware of now. And that was not just it. I was asked to pay cash in the end, otherwise 3% of credit card service fee will be charged to me ADDITIONALLY! I am not going to add more comments about the tidiness or not of the restaurant. You will see. Honestly, for the money you will have to pay, any other place is a better choice. Will never go back there! read more

I love fresh, hand-pulled noodles so Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles II was sure to please. My beef stew with fat hand pulled noodles (#2) was so delicious, especially after I added some spicy chili oil. For the table, we ordered the pan-fried pork bun and the pan-fried roast pork noodles (with big wide hand-pulled noodles, #4) for the table. Yes, yes, yes! Both dishes were excellent and I'd gladly eat them again. Looking forward to trying more tasty noodle dishes! read more

Popped in here for a quick bite while trying to kill time. It's very small, divey space but it has its own charm. I ordered shrimp pan fried noodles and it literally came out in less than 5 minutes. Was a huge portion but had to restrain myself from finishing it all. There was a container of cilantro which I love and added a whole bunch. There was a myriad of other toppings but I only really added a ton of Sriracha. If I was in the area again, would definitely eat here again. Very pleasant service as well. read more

I love when little hole-in-the-wall restaurants are known for doing one specific item very well. Here you'll often hear a bunch of slapping and if you turn around to look in the back you'll see the noodles being made right there. The hand-pulled noodles are the reason you're here, so try them in some of the many permutations of either stir-fry or soup. Fried Chicken & Veggie Dumpling: Fine for an appetizer. Crispy bottom side and doughy topside. A good amount of chicken and a few specks of veggies. But really the main draw here are the hand pulled noodles. Pan Fried Shredded Pork Chop Noodles (Fat Hand-Pulled Noodles): Love how fluffy these fat noodles were. Udon sized, but a much nicer chew. Loved the soy-based sauce which got soaked up by the noodles nicely with lots leftover to make the dish a tad wet. The pork pieces were tasty, but kinda sparse. And there were some veggies in the mix, but they were small shreds and not too many. Perfect for someone that really wants to focus on the noodles. Beef Noodle Soup (Big Wide Hand-Pulled Noodles): The wide noodles are just perfect for soup. You can get a nice slurp on with some of the broth still riding on the noodles. The large beef slices were tender and full of marinated flavor. A few greens in the mix add a nice bitter contrast to the fatty richness. The beef broth was definitely beefy and great for this dish, though wasn't quite as complex as a Vietnamese pho. read more

ordered the takeout from here friday and was pretty disappointed - got the chicken and shrimp noodles but when i received my meal i didn't eat it immediately so a few hours later when i ate i noticed it only had chicken. also the noodles were unfortunately seriously lacking flavor i ended up remaking them to make it more saucy and spicy so then it hit the spot. otherwise service was quick - seems like dine in or take out immediately might be the way to go read more

I'm so happy to have a Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles outpost in Hell's Kitchen. We shared the Lanzhou beef noodle soup with extra noodles, and we got a second bowl at almost the same as the original order. It's a perfect spot for a quick, cheap meal. It's a hole in the wall-esque restaurant with few tables and limited space. Everything came out super fast, and most of the orders during lunch were for takeout. read more

Came here just to try their Beef Noodle Soup. The hand-pulled wide noodles are perfect for the soup; love the chewy and velvety finish. This place does not skimp on the beef at all. Not the best but it will hit the spot when craving noodle soup. Interior is nothing fancy but has exactly what is needed. Similarly to other reviews mentioned, the place is tiny! Service was lacking. When we got seated, the workers seemed to have been eating their lunch and did not bother to check in on us at all. Authentic flavored pulled-noodle...hits the spot on a cold NYC evening. I added some chili oil that came with the order, and it's delicious. Chooses the regular thickness noodle instead of the fat one, and it's Q and just the right amount of chewiness. Soup is flavorful like an instant noodle, but you know it's freshly made. Even though it didn't look like a lot, but a serving is plenty. Would order again when cravings hit. read more

Got the knife cut fried beef noodles. SO GOOD. Wish I could eat here everyday. It's cozy, and the food came out fast. The server was also very quick and in tune with our needs. We had a little miscommunication about fried vs. soup noodles, and she resolved it without a fuss. 10/10 would recommend :)) read more

We arrived before the lunch rush, so we were seated immediately and started ordering soup dumplings, rice rolls and a variety of other delicious dim-sum options. We ate our faces off. I failed to read my receipt wrong and forgot to add enough for tip and was reminded to by the manager which I thought was a bit odd. I don't mind providing tip, which It would have been easy to if their systems were working, but I don't like when a restaurant begs for it when you could pay your workers a fair wage. I would come back, but please don't beg for tip especially when it's difficult to do so.

Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Wonton wrappers were thin -- my preference -- the stuffing delicious and the broth flavorful. They were generous with the beef in our chow fun. Good, but the noodles needed a jolt. So I asked for soy sauce which was sort of a solution. Shrimp with vegetables was great. A lot of shrimp, too. There are lunchtime specials on weekdays, reasonable prices, and nice people work there. Next time it makes sense to try dumplings since it is, after all a dumpling house.

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. I ordered the special (the spicy rice, lamb and chicken combo, extra white sauce, 3 squirts of hot sauce, and a topped with fries). $13 in total. And, for $13, that's pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. I would eat it again if the line was 5 minutes. Otherwise, I'm positive you will find similar food/better food elsewhere.

When I asked if they had a smaller box, they simply stacked the slices on a flimsy paper plate and placed them in a brown paper bag. I even asked if I could have one of the sturdier sandwich trays to better protect the pizza and keep the grease from soaking through while carrying it in my bag, but I was told those were "only for sandwiches." We also had leftover chicken parmesan and asked for an extra plate, but they refused, saying we already had one. The whole experience came across as unnecessarily stingy and lacked basic customer service. For a popular pizza shop where many customers take food to go, I'd expect better packaging for leftovers. A simple, sturdy to-go box would make a big difference and prevent greasy slices from getting crushed or leaking through the bag. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go back. The pizza was decent, but it wasn't worth dealing with the poor customer service. There are better pizza spots in the city, like L'Industrie Pizzeria, where I've had a much better overall experience.

Our wait was at least an hour and a half and were texted when our table was ready. They have indoor and outdoor seating with one bathroom for all to use. We got the viral pancakes and they were everything you'd dream they be and then some for sure very filling and buttery. I got a "pick me up" and it was perfect gave me a beautiful caffeine kick to start the day I recommend for sure. If you typically like heavier, diner food then this spot might be the place for you!

The service was great; they drew the cutest card when they found out it was my brother's birthday and let us bring a cake. And they also offered hair ties to the people with long hair. It's one of the larger stalls in the market and has some seating, but not enough, and the market seating is very limited as well. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the very spicy Dan Dan Mian. I loved watching the staff prepare the noodles while waiting. My bowl was huge and absolutely delicious. It was very spicy as promised, but not too spicy that it was rendered not enjoyable.
