I have a small neck tattoo I wanted removed so I found them on yelp and gave them a shot. Here's a little of what you can expect-The first visit is a 10 minute long consult where they make sure they are able to remove it. ( some tattoos are unremovable due to certain shades of ink). After that your next visit will be the first laser treatment. Note: They also prescribe you a numbing cream- which I highly highly recommended using. Karen who is the laser specialist is wonderful, very personable and lovely. She will always make sure you are ready and comfortable before starting. You will arrive in a large room with a huge comfy chair, she will set you up with glasses and then it's go time. The laser treatment last as long as how big your tattoo is- so it varies. My laser treatment last all together 10 min tops because my tattoo is small. Each visit Karen will increase the laser strength so be prepared for it to sting harder each time (use that numbing cream)! My tattoo is almost gone and I had 7 treatments so far. Two tips that I find really helpful- 1) be patient for results, all tattoos are different and it really depends on how the artist applied the ink- if they apply with a heavy hand, then the ink is deeper and harder to remove. The required time to wait in between sessions is 8 weeks so be prepared to invest in a lengthy process! 2) it hurts real bad- way worse than getting the tattoo, so use the damn cream!

My friend and I had a bizarre experience here…read more We called ahead to confirm they did inner lip tattoos--they said yes and booked us for a week later. We arrived and filled out our forms. We were the only people in the waiting area and there were two employees sitting behind the counter. Eventually, a man (presumably our artist) came out, sat behind the counter, started eating pizza, and didn't acknowledge us. Without looking up, he said, "I'll take your money, but you're gonna be disappointed." At first we were confused and weren't even sure if he was talking to us. When we said we still wanted to try, he basically said we'd be stupid to get them--while repeating that he'd still happily take our money. He never introduced himself, never made eye contact, and seemed irritated by our presence . I have 21 tattoos and I really appreciate when an artist gives me advice and honestly, I appreciate that he was trying to warn us about wasting our money, but his hostility and lack of respect was a deal breaker. We ended up walking out because I didn't feel comfortable letting him tattoo us. All of this could have been avoided if they had simply told us they didn't want to do inner lip tattoos instead of letting us book. I wouldn't recommend going here unless your want to be ridiculed.

Everything about the experience at Out Of Ink was positive. John was super knowledgeable and very upfront about everything. He was very detailed during the consultation portion and light years from pushy. The process was easy, it was not comfortable but it was not terribly painful, certainly easier than getting tattooed. Only took maybe 10 minutes start to finish. I do not know what other places charge but his pricing seemed perfectly reasonable to me. I had Nova and she was very kind and quick. Second session and third were on my left forearm(The top then underneath) it has faded a ton. It still even fades a little each day. I still need at least 2 more treatments, but one got me 1/3 of the way. I had Maya the second time, who was very kind and entertaining. She made feel very welcome and comfortable! The third time I had Chelsea and she is just the sweetest person ever! The fourth and fifth was on my shoulder blade through the top of my arm and damn it hurts like hell... but again Chelsea was quick and very attentive. It has been about 5 weeks and the piece is almost gone! One part was went over twice and it's just unbelievable! I have an appointment for a cover up piece at the end of the month. And the final was on my other shoulder blade through the top of my left arm. It's been 2 weeks and it's melting away day by day. Finding this place has changed everything and I'm so excited for all of the new pieces I have coming soon thanks to tataway!!!

That being said, when I signed up, I purchased their smallest package for a very small tattoo for $1500. Since my purchase, they have had multiple 50% off sales, so I definitely feel that I got a bad deal and would advise anyone to wait for their sales to make a purchase. I've also looked into other places that are not as expensive, although I can't comment on the quality of their associates or removal process. I'm writing a review prematurely to the finish of my tattoo because I have been told every time I come in to write a review, and I don't prefer to write reviews before the job is done but I know they will ask me again at my upcoming appointment. I would prefer not to be reminded of writing a review every time I come in, as I do write reviews regularly and I will update the public when I feel it is necessary. I would suggest to the business owner that they refrain from pressuring customers into writing reviews at every visit.
