It's probably just as easy to go to Bunnings, but if you need to paint something and are looking for slightly cheaper prices and you live nearby, this Taubmans is worth a shot. A year or so ago, I set up a small gallery in the city with some friends. Over time, we've done renovations, and we've visited this store a few times. It's intended for trade professionals but is also open to the public. The staff are happy to help out with (dumb) questions. For example one of the renovations we did, was ripping up the carpet in the gallery space, sanding back the concrete glue with a professional concrete polisher and then sealing the concrete. The staff at Taubmans helped me find an appropriate concrete sealant, and it was pretty cheap too. You can also pick up standard painting tools - rollers, masking tape etc. Taubmans really only does paint and sealants - interior and exterior stuff. If you're doing any home renos on the cheap, it might be good to stop in here. They have a small range of discounted stuff near the front window. read more
