I jumped out at 15,000ft and it is an experience that I will never forget, freefalling whilst looking at the world from that angle. I was scared I would land incorrectly or break a couple of limbs. This was a amazing feeling and I did it around 6pm which meant that the sun was setting so the sky was a picture in itself. The colours from the sun were as you can imagine, a lovely red glow. If you are feeling brave, or an adrenaline junkie, please do this and you will not regret it. Live your life.

What i liked: - easy to find (next to hw1) - good amount of rapids (grade 1-3) - friendly staff - good material - good safety instructions What i missed: - a shower at the end. There are only changing facilities Even though i missed the kaituna waterfall drop, this was real fun to do. Especially when it rains, rafting is a great activity to do. There are options for normal rafting, or family rafting. I took the normal rafting... Which includes more complex rapids and surely getting wet.

This little tour company only offers self-guided group tours (for safety reasons)…read more I'm glad I convinced my brother and his father-in-law to take the hour and a half kayaking tour with me! We had great fun maneuvering our kayaks through the underbelly of an aqueduct and the bush clad Tokaanu Stream. It's a wonderful way to explore the landscape but be warned; it's not an easy paddle!! The stream meanders through some densely overgrown harakeke banks and zig zags pretty sharply through the bush at certain points. Good luck avoiding the prickly blackberry bushes while trying to negotiate your way around these ultra-tight corners! We passed a bit of thermal activity towards the end - bubble, bubble toil and trouble....ahhhh!!! I'd rather tango with the blackberry bushes, instead, thank yo very much! Seriously though; jokes aside, this is a super-fun freshwater kayaking adventure and a real bargain at $35 per person - equipment included! Just give Tui a ring and she'll sort you out!
