I provided him with all of my information, but I have since been unable to contact him or anyone else at the company despite multiple attempts using the only phone number I have. I would give them zero stars if I could. Trust me- DO NOT USE THUS COMPANY- YOU WILL REGRET IT- When Louis first filed my taxes, he did not include one of my jobs which was over $65,000 in income... OK - nobody's perfect. I let that slide. THEN- when he mailed my taxes to me, he had the incorrect address of my AIRBNB putting it in a different state which had me owing an additional $352 that I was not supposed to! When I would try to call them, you just get put on hold for hours. You cannot speak to anyone! Also, when Louis mailed my tax forms out to me to sign, he had included another person's taxes!! which, of course included all their personal information, name, address, wages, Social Security number... I have been trying to call them every day and no one will answer the phone. I usually give up after a couple hours. DONT GET SUCKED IN BY THEIR CHEAP PRICE. IT STILL WILL NOT BE WORTH IT!! read more

(Long review, but must read before moving forward with this company. TRUST ME!) I was referred to Tax Starz Tampa by my fiancée after we had used them previously, and I decided to trust them again with my business taxes this year. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a tax service. I submitted all of my information in March/April 2025 for my 2024 business taxes. I was told I was being extended because they were slammed with multiple clients, but no one contacted me for months after I agreed to extend initially. I had to chase them down in late September. When I finally spoke with Louis to discuss my bookkeeping that he offered for free for the major inconvenience, he told me I had a $1,660 monthly charge to a company located in Texas and also mentioned that I had thousands in withdrawals. I explained that I did not believe these were mine and said I think they might be mixing me up with someone else's bookkeeping. Louis then told me that his female representative had made a mistake on that $1,660 charge and said he would fix it, telling me not to worry about it. That response only raised more concern for me. If one mistake was acknowledged, I had no confidence that everything else was accurate. Soon after, I was told that I owed about $1,400 more in federal taxes because I "made more money" in 2024 compared to 2023. That did not make sense to me, because I actually made less in 2024. At that point my gut told me something was not right, and it confirmed my concerns about the accuracy of my return. Another major issue came with the S Corp. Louis told me that my business had already been elected as an S Corp this year because he submitted it last year for me. On our call Monday, he instructed me to contact the IRS the next morning to confirm. When I called the IRS, they told me the election had never been filed. This was very frustrating because, on the call, I had been told it was already completed. Before we ended that same call, Louis asked me to make a $325 payment right away, saying "let's just handle the payment and get this out the way now." I paid in good faith, but I never received a receipt after being told I would receive one immediately upon payment, never signed an e-signature, and have nothing on file to show that my taxes were in process. After that, I attempted to reach out Tuesday morning to go over everything I had just found out, including the IRS (S-Corp) confirmation and the mistakes that had been acknowledged. Since then, I have been completely ghosted. My texts go unanswered, and my calls either ring without response or go straight to voicemail. Now I am left with very little time, which is extremely unfortunate because I had everything prepared since April. I trusted them because they told me they would handle it just like they did last year, and instead I was left in this situation. This all could have been completed in April, extension or not. Instead, they took my payment, delayed me for months, and then stopped responding. Not that it matters to them, but they lost two clients/customers in this process. Myself and my fiancée who originally referred me. This has been a horrible experience from start to finish. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere! read more

Louis made several mistakes on my forms and it took an incredibly long time to hear back from anyone on the team. Excuse after excuse, nobody would take my calls or answer my texts/emails. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this firm. read more

I used them once and it was quick and easy. I tried using them again and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of them. Never knew where my documents were at. Their number doesnt work. No voicemail set up. Doesn't respond to texts. read more

I have been using tax Starz for almost 5 years. I have had Louis do my taxes each year. I understand how busy they get and I make sure I have everything with me before I come in. Originally, Louis was pretty much by himself and he was always great, and now he has more people which helps because it is always busy, but that happens when you do a great job. Louis always exceeds my expectations, but I am still amazed how rude some people are and unable to understand that tax season is very busy for tax preparers. It's like going to the theme parks during the holidays, don't complain if you have to wait. Thank you Louis for another great job doing my taxes!! It is appreciated. read more

Not only are they professional and quick, but well versed in what I can and cannot deduct. I truly trust them and will continue to use them for my personal taxes. My husband and I have been customers for a couple of years, the service has been okay. After this year though, we will not be going back. We recently scheduled 2 virtual tax prep appointments with this office, both confirmed through their online scheduling system, and neither of them materialized. On the first appointment date 1/18/25, nobody from the office contacted us and we were not able to reach anyone by phone, despite trying multiple times and waiting over an hour. Their lines just rang and rang. Every business can have a bad day, we understand it is a busy time of year, and things happen. So we set a new appointment for the following Monday 1/20/25. At the new appointment time, we called their office to make sure everything was alright, we had not heard from anyone yet. Every time we called, the receptionist said they were aware of our appointment, and kept assuring us that the tax preparer was just running a little bit behind, he was finishing up with a customer and he would be calling us next in a few minutes. We ended up waiting 3 hours, calling back every so often just to make sure they knew we were still waiting. 3 hours is not just running a little behind. I suspect they were taking walk-ins during the time of our scheduled appointment. Regardless, if they did not have time for us that evening, a simple call or email asking us to reschedule again would have sufficed. Making us wait around for hours is completely disrespectful. At the 3 hour mark, we called them back again to cancel the appointment. We will take our business elsewhere. If that was everything, I would not have been so angry, but what happened next was infuriating. To make matters worse, after we cancelled, we received a text message from Tax Starz saying we still owed them payment for tax preparation services that they never rendered. I got tax lein from Louis work and he refuses to answer his phone. Refuses to call me back. Refuses to stand behind his work. HE IS SLIME in my book. All talk but obviously doesn't know what he is doing of the IRS wouldn't be threatening to put a lien on my home. DONT USE THESE GUYS.. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN. read more

They say the filed your taxes and you get a advance but I have yet to get my advance they have their account information on my tax returns so my tax return goes to them. they don't answer the phone or your messages. they won't call you back. they give you the run around. so many people have be used by this place.
