I thought I was doing a good thing by paying extra to have a "tax pro" review our taxes to "guarantee accuracy" only to find out they are not responsible as I was the one putting the information into their software!!! Also, I did not purchase the "Peace of Mind" as I did not think I needed this as I understood it be that HR Block would store my taxes which I could do myself. I made a mistake by claiming the AOC for 5 years instead of 4 and not ONCE did my tax pro Tempe Garrott question it. I was told that it is based on the honor system and that I was being honest by entering this information. Well guess what? People make mistakes! I paid her (HR Block) to review our taxes to ensure they were accurate and they were not and now my husband and I have to pay for the mistake. I was told that our taxes would need to be amended so I made an appt and saw Vesh at the Royal Palm Beach location who accidentally GAVE MY IRS PAPERWORK TO A COMPLETE STRANGER POTENTIALLY PUTTING MY FAMILY AND I AT RISK FOR IDENTITY THEFT!!! This was an AWFUL experience, I had to call the police to track down my paperwork. I will be writing bad reviews and will NEVER recommend HR BLOCK! I believe that HR Block was very misleading in their statements and won't be using this software or HR Block again after this experience.
