I offered to just get off the bus and he got mad saying "it's not that hard" repetitively. He told me I've obviously not got tap payments on. I do... I literally use the card to go shopping. Transport is active and works fine on trains. We have gone to the bank before, they said the opal machines mess up with bank cards sometimes. Not on the bank cards but on the opal machines. And plenty of the other lovely bus drivers have mentioned before that sometimes even opal cards don't work, and that the opal machines mess up. I have no money overdrawn, nothing. So it was very odd. Wish he was a lot nicer. My partner tapped on his opal card and the bus driver said it didn't work. But it did - the balance was just low and gave us a warning that it was low... we both tapped off and the card worked fine and took out money. In conclusion - he was a bad egg among the bunch and I hope he finds happiness oneday, instead of being a judgemental and angry at everyone else for a problem we can't help.

I thought I'd test their claims recently when needing to travel from home to Woolloongabba and what a seamless process it was. Call and book taxi. 10 short minutes later, as estimated by the operator, my Oz Ecab arrived. My driver was pleasant, friendly and didn't hesitate to jump out of the car to help me lift items into the boot. The car? Spotless. Scents of nothing but new car smell. My driver? Knew exactly where to go. There was no, "Excuse me mam, can you direct me please?". The drive, smooth and jerk-free. But the real kicker? The price. The price was, as promised, the same as what it would have cost me for the same journey in a regular taxi. You best believe I'm driving with a silver spoon in my mouth from now on!
