There was no exception…read morewhen I decided to hire Lilac Cleaning for a deep cleaning because I wanted one less task to takeoff my to-do list. The owner sold me on expectations (i.e., ceiling fans, baseboards, oven, doors, glass shower, everything would be clean). I asked if there was a preference for having someone home during the clean and was told they would rather clean while you're out which was fine. I had tons of things to do. Nonetheless, I couldn't wait to book the services!!! Initially, I was told she didn't have any openings for today. She later returned and said someone could come out to clean on the day that I requested. Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I live in new construction, it's just my daughter and I, and we've only been in the place a year and a half. It's not filthy at all. We honestly could've performed the deep cleaning ourselves and guess what?! This is exactly how it looked when I returned home. I'm beyond disappointed. The owner was very polite and did offer to come out and correct the issue but my trust in what would be done without me being present again went completely out of the window. After several exchanges asking for a partial refund I was sent the following message which I just couldn't accept: "I understand. Unfortunately because I did have a cleaner there and had to pay for the labor I'm unable to comp this clean. Like I said, I'd be happy to come clean it personally, even on a date closer to when you'll be home. I sincerely apologize." My response, "Can you pay the labor and return the remainder?" The refund wasn't even half of what I paid. Needless to say, I'm still on the search for a cleaning company who delivers as promised. I learned a very valuable lesson - Just get up and do it yourself if you have the time, energy, and resources. In this instance, it's okay to be picky. Try out Lilac Cleaning for yourself. Your experience may be entirely different.

Considering that 4 construction workers had well, wrecked the place previous to our moving in... we'd often wondered who took our new place from FILTHY to FABULOUS... and it was her! Finally in the 30 years I've lived in and moved all over the place, I didn't have to lose my ever-loving mind having to completely overhaul the place because she'd already meticulously and graciously taken care of that for me... and for that I couldn't have been more grateful... as someone with asthma and severe allergies to mold, dust, and pet dander (etc). Therefore, I will sing Starlin's and her awesome company's praises always. Personal integrity, taking pride in one's craft, listening to and respecting the customer, and paying attention to detail are everything. Miss Starlin is that... and so much more. She…read moreresponded back almost immediately and told me that she could help me navigate taxes for a 1099 position. That was the last time I ever heard from her directly. After the Yelp correspondence, I tried to send an email to set up an appointment to no avail. Thinking perhaps it was just an accidental oversight, I simply went to the Treasure Tax website to schedule an in person meeting with her for Monday of last week. An hour before the appointment, I received a voicemail from one of her colleagues that said their system only erroneously allowed me to make an appointment and that Carey was at a conference all week. He asked me to call back to reschedule, so I set up a virtual appointment for yesterday. Well, I logged in to the Zoom meeting on time and waited 15 minutes in the waiting room after the appointment was supposed to begin prior to calling the number listed on Treasure Tax's website to investigate what the hold up might be. I was connected with an employee that tried to reach out to Carey, but couldn't get ahold of her because she was away from her desk. She informed me that she would try to send a message to let her know I was in the Zoom waiting room, but that was all she could do. Fifteen more minutes elapse and I call again only to speak with a different employee who tells me nearly the exact same thing, only that this time she will URGENTLY tell Carey I've been waiting on her for a meeting that was supposed to start over a half hour before. Carey never signed onto the meeting or called me back. Needless to say, I highly discourage anyone looking for a tax preparer to engage in business with Carey Gay of Treasure Tax due to her lack of professionalism and inability to keep appointments.
