Today was our day for Taylor waste pick up and our final goodbye to our Blue lidded Recycle bin before we go on to our next residential location. We were at the curbside when the man came with the big collection truck to reclaim the bin for its return journey back to the main station, to be re-purposed to another location for Service. I met with the person who was the human being this morning, who had come to make the Service pick up. His name was Adam. I shook his hand and thanked him And ALL of you, for the very important Service you ALL put your hearts and souls and hands to, whether it's in the field or in the office or maybe even, sometimes both. You put in a great many days and hours and we surely want you to Know this isn't something that isn't Seen, because without you, our lives would be so different. I've been meaning to write a review for 6 years now. With that in mind, you can trust me when I say these guys are CONSISTENTLY a 5 star company. As someone who used to deal with Waste Management in California years ago, the difference is that of night and day. Everyone here is so friendly and so accommodating. They allow you yearly courtesies for go-back or later in the week pick-ups and extra garbage. And when you run out of those courtesies their rates are so ridiculously affordable. Look, I'm just somebody who really appreciates the fact that there are people who pick up my trash and do something with it, like I'm already so grateful for that but to get the sweetest nicest office managers and amazing helpful drivers....??! Taylor Waste is a company who goes above and beyond and they could teach most companies in this area (in most areas) a thing or twelve about customer satisfaction and efficiency. The drivers dive like jerks and the barrel delivery/pick up man. He is the worst slamming the bins in the truck at 5:45 am. Really drip offs at 5:45 in the morning. He has done this a number a times as most of my neighbors have canceled this over priced and rude customer service. We built our home in the Sedona Golf Resort in 2003 and 2004 and moved in the home in 2004. At that time we went with Taylor Waste to handle our waste and recyle needs. I put out the waste and recyle bins during the Tuesdays when they are due for pickup. In 20 years we have never, ever had a problem. Had gone elsewhere to try to avoid the early Monday morning pick-up schedule in Cordes Lakes and have been trying to resume service for over a week now, but at one time the service was good. There are at least 3 trash collection companies for Sedona. I have noticed that Taylor Waste has routes all over the Verde Valley. I called this company because it was already servicing the house I bought, and all I needed to do was agree to open my account. They show up every week like clockwork, and if there's a storm or a holiday they post a notice on facebook with their plan or schedule for that week. When my neighbors have been out of town I have seen the driver get out of the truck and check the trash can, even though it hasn't been brought out to the curb. We are in javelina territory, and javelina love trash. Taylor recommends closing your trash can with bungee cord. One morning or two my can still had the bungee cord on, and the driver removed the cord and took the trash. Some people may say this is just common sense, but I call it excellent service. read more

I had taylor for the first 2 years we lived in our home and just canceled today for various reasons. Multiple instances over the past couple years of miscommunication between the team and bad customer service. I was just tired of worrying about a late charge every 3 months because they failed to put my card on file multiple times. Gave me a cracked trash can and it took almost a month to replace leaving me with piles of trash. Not to mention their crappy website. When I canceled they didn't even ask me why or if I was having issues. Save yourself some money and go with Patriot Disposal. Same price and way better service. read more

Taylor Waste purchased our route from Discount (a former division of Patriot Disposal. Patriot never bothered to tell us they were selling the route but Taylor has been fantastic to deal with. Superb customer service when I call with a question, great online bill pay system that is easy to us and the driver has never once missed picking up our rubbish. They recently had a young man stop by to drop off a new container since we had still been using the Discount bin. I went out to speak with him. He was 100% professional and courteous. He encouraged me to speak with our driver if ever we have any questions or concerns. Every person on their team that I have interacted with has been very professional and courteous. I was not impressed with the customer service at all it really started my day off badly. When I called for a simple question the representative on the phone was super condescending. I've been using TW for so many years, I've lost count. Before transferring my service to them, I had used at least 2 others trash pick up companies. I came to Taylor because I had been with Waste Management but had some differences with them regarding their service and policies, (not to mention their worldwide corporate hugeness). They offered me the best initial rate which may have slightly increased over the years. I believe this is a family owned and operated local business and that's part of the joy of doing business with them. Once I signed up with them, I set up automatic payments for each quarter and haven't had to think about it since. I don't even get a bill from them because I usually keep a credit balance. About a year ago, we moved from Sedona to Cornville in Verde Santa Fe. I was happy to learn that they were already servicing our community. All I had to do was call them and give them my new address. I lived at my Sedona residence for over 20 years and I suspect I've been using them the past 10 years or more. I occasionally would have another dumpster or two of yard waste which they picked up for no additional charge although when it started to become more frequent and regular so they basically had to charge something to offset their dumping fees. It's very little, like less than $5 per additional dumpster. I've also used Taylor Bros. (who I presume are related) for large dumpsters on my property in Sedona. They are likewise easy to work with, reliable and reasonably priced. read more

On 9/12/16 I stopped my service because of our vacation, on 10/19/16 I resumed my service. Taylor Trash never gave us the proper credit for the suspension. On 11/3/16 I called the office and spoke to Melissa and explained the non credit from the past which fell on deaf ears so we decided to just cancel the service due to 1) The office attitude they took with me and 2) There lack of accurate accounting, And if you can believe they still keep sending a bill in 2018 for $14.50 !! .... how RUDE and dunning you people are you need to get it together Taylor Waste your office needs a lot of help! A year later and still issues... This time with POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! So I love how Taylor Waste in Cottonwood called & left a voicemail yesterday (Tuesday, March 8th) to specifically blame me for my NEIGHBOR'S trash sprawled out all over the damn place, due to the curiously hungry Javelinas. Not even kidding. (I even texted the neighbor at 5am on Monday--trash day--when I saw the trash sprawled out everywhere, alerting him to tell his mother about her trash being everywhere!) I take my trash out at 5am, well after the Javelinas are gone from our complex! That sh** was not my trash lol. I even have the other neighbor, witnessing me hauling both my recycle and trash bins to the curb at 5am, Monday morning. She was leaving for work when I was taking my trash out. The voicemail from Taylor Waste was a specific, uneducated blame. Then, when I called the b**ch at Taylor Waste this morning to alert her that I was not the culprit, she immediately went into a metaphorical fetal position and acted like she didn't blatantly accuse me of being the culprit, in the voicemail left yesterday, when in fact she did! Her condescending response was, "I called EVERYONE, alerting them that we want ALL customers to put bungee cords on their trash from now on. We never blamed you for anything." B**ch. I have a voicemail proving otherwise. I emphasized that every time I put bungee cords on my trash, the bungee cords are lost by the trash man (or stolen by passerbys), immediately. How do I know it happens immediately? Because the first time I put bungee cords on my trash bin, I walked outside, after I heard the trashman pass by, so I could bring my trash back in. Lol. What do ya know! No f**king bungee cords in sight! I am not going to continually purchase bungee cords only for them to "get lost" every single week. No. I told her I am going to continue waking my ass up at 5am to take my trash out, well after the Javelinas are gone. Javelinas don't pick through the trash in the daytime, at least not in our complex (on a very hectic daytime/desolate nighttime road). That b**ch had the nerve to place blame on me. And her BS about contacting everyone? She may have contacted every customer they have, but there is only one other customer in our small complex that has Taylor Waste. So clearly that customer is to blame....and yet they're going to sit there and blame me lol. The Javelinas have always graced their presence in the nighttime at our complex....never in the daytime, because it's simply too f**king busy lol. Those wild pigs are just too darn scared of the humans. You don't blame me for other people's bullshit and not blame the correct person. The neighbors trashcan has been sitting outside--still there--since Sunday night! I have never written a bad review for a business before but the woman who answers the phone is just the worst. She literally talks to you like you are an idiot and taking up her precious time. She treats you like she's doing you a HUGE favor by picking up your rubbish at all. The day after Christmas I called to see if I had missed pick up by not getting my can out til 9:15, I would've been willing to even pay a fee for him to come back and pick up our can late but I didn't even know if they had been on our street yet. The way she spoke to me was ridiculously rude. I would cancel the service but we are moving to another house soon, we won't be using them. I've been a customer for about a year and have had no issues. In fact, I really appreciate how timely they are, their clean trucks and the fact the trash pick service works so well. I understand the City of Sedona is pushing to promote a single hauler for residential (the commercial folks would get to keep their choice). The worse part? It has been becoming clear the "winner" of the one-hauler would likely be the giant Waste Mgmt. Yuck. Their trucks are always losing garbage, they look unclean and it is as far from a family-run business as possible. The funny part? The lady that answers the phone has a very high pitched, ear piercing voice and likes to try to make you feel stupid. I called with a simple question about when my trash would picked up during the 4th of July week. My scheduled day is usually Wednesday. She said that during holidays trash pickup is pushed AHEAD a day... Well that means it would be picked up Tuesday... She said no it means Tuesday gets picked up Wednesday, Wednesday gets picked up thursday, etc. Well that means its pushed a day BEHIND. The way she talked to me was uncalled for. And her voice hurt my ears. If I ever get talked to again like this by this woman I will have to take a little trip down to their office and handle it face to face. read more

They said we used the wrong size bags so they couldn't do it ...sorry... we had 3 people volunteering at her house all day. We called WM for another senior with the same problem. They said no problem ... we will do it and it is free. My neighbors all use Taylor but I am going to suggest to my neighbors that we all switch companies. read more

EDITED: THE OWNER OF TAYLOR WASTE CONTACTED ME AFTER BEING NOTIFIED BY THE BBB OF MY REVIEW AND ISSUED A FULL REFUND. If you would like to know what the issue was, read on. I signed up with Taylor Waste when a door-to-door sales person knocked on my door. I paid a year in advance. Never received a service contract. Terms of a service contract were never covered with me. I specifically asked the sales person if there was a termination fee or any other way that I could lose money if I was not happy with the service. He told me that there was no fee and that they would come pick up the cans without penalty. It turns out that I can get a better deal with one of the local companies here in town, so I cancelled my service with Taylor Waste with in one week. I never used their service. They charged me a $45.00 removal fee for delivering and then picking up garbage cans that were never used. When I told the young woman who answered the phone at Taylor Waste the situation, she condescendingly told me, "Oh, I'm so sorry, I usually read contracts before I sign them." In other words, she was telling me that I should have read a contract that I never received. Again, very rude and condescending. She was basically telling me that they are keeping my money and there is nothing I can do about it. It shows me that this company does not care about customer service or people that they service in their community. They are simply there for a cash grab and will participate in deceptive tactics to do it. I would not recommend Taylor Waste to anyone. In fact, I would encourage others to not use this company, but find a company that: 1. Does not require a contract (Is this even legal in the first place?) 2.
