Side of fries

Honestly this is the go to place if you want a solid burger with creative topping combinations. I had the volcano burger which had a good amount of spice and was really tasty. The fries were also well seasoned and just crispy enough. Service was quick. I got the food as takeout but the inside space looked clean and nice.

Literally the best burger I have ever had. The Ali's Notcho burger is my favorite and is absolutely delicious. The employees are so kind and they are quick! The restaurant is clean and I enjoy eating the burger there since it's fresh and hot!

Taystee's Original, Curly Fries

Had heard a lot of hype around these burgers and they lived up to it! I tried the Original, added sautéed mushrooms and it was delicious. Large burger (I ordered single patty and this was definitely plenty of meat/burger), bun held up, good proportions of ingredients. Really juicy and tasty without being tooo salty/oily. Fun to get curly fries on the side as well! Great dipped in their Taystee's sauce (and ranch). I also got some buffalo hot sauce on the side to dip the burger in - sounds a little weird but it's a great combo.

For a small strip mall burger place, this place is amazing! Everything is made to order and the staff is incredibly friendly. We ordered two top notch burgers (recommended as the favorite) and the bacon cheese fries. The food was hot, spicy, and DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

When my husband and I came here two years ago, we couldn't wait to come back. The burgers were made perfectly with good ground beef and were juicy and topped with quality ingredients. Service was friendly and the employees went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our food. Today I felt like we were an inconvenience to the guy working the register, who came across as unfriendly and brusque. I used their single stall unisex restroom while waiting for our order. The sink had splatters of something hardened here and there and the toilet needed a cleaning. The tables were dirty with wet and dry food. The worst part of today's visit were the burgers, which should have been what saved our visit. They were so well done they were like rubber and lay inside a stale, hard bun. We should have had them remade, but didn't really want to deal with the cashier's attitude again. Thankfully, there were enough toppings on it that masked how bad the burger was, and I removed about of the bun (the hardest parts), which helped. Their pickles and grilled onions are great, so there's that. This will be our last visit, but my hope is that you get the level of service and quality of food that we got on our first visit so you can counter my low star count with 4-5 stars.

#9 Ali's Notch-O-Burger - delicious burger, don't even attempt to eat this on the road. Extremely delicious but also extremely messy! Recommend to try this on your first visit! Fries came out super hot and crisp and a very good portion to share with 2-3 people. Chicken sandwich was good but the patties are on the thin side. I originally had concerns trying this place as I thought it was part of the gas station but it is completely separate.

Super clean in here. Very friendly. Everything tastes fresh. Portions are generous. I have only one complaint about Taystees. You can't order them medium. Minor complaint as the burgers are still juicy and so loaded with toppings you will not really notice. I got the Cool Ranch supreme burger and yum. Crunchy, cheesy, saucy happiness. I needed like six napkins as I ate it. That is not a critique. I also ordered salt and pepper fries, and it was enough for four people. Hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. My husband tried to help, but we needed a to go box. My husband got the burger with teriyaki and pineapple. He was a huge fan. It's one of his fave combos. He chose jalapeno poppers as his side. They were stuffed full of cream cheese and not a bit greasy. I had to swipe one. We took home more poppers for my parents, who also tried two different burgers. My mom loved the bbq burger, and my dad was very pleased with the mushroom swiss. Overall, I found it to be a tad expensive, but the quality and hefty portions make it worth it. We will return.

My first visit to this location. My first disappointments when comparing to their other locations. They opened on-time at 11AM, but were not really ready for customers. Let me explain: - The beef patty was fully cooked, but lacked the maillard/searing that I experienced a their other stores. Perhaps the flat top was not fully up to working temp? - Chili cheese fries were not available because the chili was not up to temperature. - The bun was not toasted and actually a bit cool. Perhaps it had been stored in refrigerator overnight? Will I return? Yes. One subpar experience is not going to deter me. I just will not visit at the momnt they open.

Stopped in after an Ann Arbor event for a couple of burgers. I had the original and the salt and pepper fries. The burger was smash burger style. It was good. There was a touch (I mean a touch) of heat in something. I liked the burger came with onions. And, I liked the size of the burger. We opted for the basic salt and pepper fries. There were plenty of options, flavor and style. The fries were perfectly cooked (kudos to them). One order of fries could cover three normal people. There is basic seating, which works for the overall style. The service was good. It took a bit for the food to come out, but they nailed the fries. I thought it was on the more expensive side. But, I don't eat this style much. Everything was good. To me it is upscale fast food. Maybe "fast fresh". I gave this 3 stars because I thought everything was good. I did not try the more adventurous burgers or fries, and that could have made a difference in the flavor department.

Wow wow wow! The food was great, but we would be back for the service. The staff was soo nice! Krystal was so welcoming when we came in, and Al bent over backwards to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. They were super friendly. Such a great experience!!!

I was hungry after the Yelp event and since Ann Arbor has tons of good food, I knew I had to grab food here before running the long drive home. I've been to Taystee's Dearborn (original?) location and remember it being good and I wanted to try this location out to see if it was as good as I remember. It was! Yes, it's located within a gas station but don't let that fool you. The food here's fantastic and worth every penny. I had a hard time deciding what to get, but ended up getting the Taystee's special burger. They make everything fresh here so I did have to wait a bit for the food to come out. The burger was bigger than I remember, but even better then I remember having it the first time. I literally devoured it in just a few bites. If you pay cash it's a little bit cheaper as they charge an extra 50 cents or so for running your card. I just happened to have had enough cash on me when I paid, so that's how I found out. As for drinks and sides, they do NOT have fountain pop here, just cans. I don't know how much the drinks are, but I had my own bottle of water so I used that to wash down the food here. Kind of bummed about no fountain pop. Also, seating's limited so try to go during off peak times to avoid having to eat in the car or take the food elsewhere. Also, I inquired about their onion rings and you get 8 rings for about $7.27. Seems a bit high and I passed since I didn't feel like ordering them at the moment. (I was hungry and that would've added to my wait time.) Overall the food here's absolutely fantastic and will try out their locations again since I can't get enough!

Our go-to!

Best burgers around town! There are not many halal options around Ann Arbor, so my friends and I truly admire this location. Micah was so helpful and took such great care of us! Highly recommend Taystee's to all college students, families, and especially those with good taste!

I was a little nervous because of mixed reviews for this location but I'm so glad we stopped in. The burgers were great and hand cut fries and curly fries! Yummy onion rings as well. Customer service was great and their prices are average. Definitely recommend if you want a yummy burger. $8.49 for a 5oz single patty burger with brioche bun

We ordered 3 large cheesesteaks, 2 fries, and cheesesteak rolls, plus paid extra for add ons like cherry peppers on the side. Not only did they forget the extras entirely, but the "large" sandwiches were a joke. They used bigger buns and apparently decided that counted as a larger sandwich, because there was definitely not more meat. In fact, the meat barely covered HALF the bread. We literally have to cook extra meat at home just to turn these into actual cheesesteaks. And the cheesesteak rolls? The menu photo shows four halves. What showed up was ONE roll cut in half. That's it. The curly fries were the only thing remotely worth the money. Charging extra for every tiny add on while simultaneously skimping on the actual food (and the addons) is wild. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least put enough meat on the sandwich to justify calling it a cheesesteak.

The bun was warm and fresh. I can't tolerate stale bread. The Beef steak sub with mushrooms and cheese (onions). Had a lot of beef. Almost too much. Maybe a mistake based on what I've been reading. Or that's the norm for here. It's a bit pricey, but it was a pretty big sub. I think we'll be back on our next romp through Ann Arbor. 10/25

The boneless are real white meat nuggets that have a right amount of breading. He tried the awesome sauce this time. I have to say that I may be properly addicted to the ranch now. It's incredible with the Cajun wings. The street corn was a nice side to share. Working hard all day in this heat, we enjoyed our takeout in the air conditioned truck. Wing Snob doesn't have inside seating. They are a take away shop. Very clean. Pepsi soda fountain with Dr Pepper and fresh lemonade options. The people there were so nice. The young lady was in training and the woman was kind and patient walking her thru how to add to my order. We ordered in the app and paid. All was made fresh so took about 10-15 mins. We waited until we got to our place in Dexter to eat and all was still hot and just cooled off enough to start eating it. So don't worry about getting it home and still being fresh. I hope they catch on. Good stuff.

Boneless wings were good- sizes varied and some were of smaller size so be aware of that if you order just 6. Cornbread was fine, but it very much fell apart and needed to use a fork to eat it. Know before you go: this place is take-out only (no interior tables and it has two tables outdoors that could seat maybe 5-6 adults. We ate at the table outside, but we were lucky because it was in the low 60s.) Service was good and cashier was very friendly and answered questions well. Food was pleasantly salty, but don't go here if you want a low salt low-fat diet, but I think that is also gonna be obvious from the get-go Note that this is a limited review due to visiting once so far. In the future, I would like to try the dry rub versions of things and definitely see if the fries continue to be amazing.

I was waking up around 5-5:30 which is 2-2:30AM PST to workout and head to the office which means by 3PM EST, I was itching to hurry up back to my hotel room. Anyway. I am glad I ordered from here that night. I wanted something easy to eat and filling. I think my meal allowance is $70 a day but I didn't come close to the amount because I skip breakfast to not feel lethargic at work and I cannot eat lunch and dinner because though I have a weight problem, I cannot eat that much food in a short span. How odd! I try not to eat so late. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious. I throughly enjoyed the chicken tenders and ranch, too. It was not over cooked and they're rather thin which made it not overly over the top as a side. This place, Mr. Spots definitely hit the spot.
