I…read moreunderstand and respect that it is the banks policy to request identification when completing a cash deposit. However, the way this policy is applied appears inconsistent. On multiple occasions when I have made deposits at this branch, I have been asked for identification most of the time, but not every time. Because of this inconsistency, I began paying closer attention to how the policy was applied. I had a coworker make sever similar large cash deposits, and they were not asked to provide identification. When I later returned to make a smaller deposit, I was again asked to provide my ID. The inconsistent application of this policy raises concerns and creates the impression that customers may be treated differently. I believe it would be beneficial for the branch to apply policies consistently to all customers regardless of race or religion to ensure a professional and fair banking experience.
