It's within short walking distance to lots of restaurants, pubs, and other city attractions. We stopped by this bank to get cash on our way to and from cash-only Schwartz's Deli, which is only two blocks up the street. It was cheaper for me to use this ATM rather than the restaurant's ATM where I would've been charged higher fees. I bank with Bank of America and Scotiabank is one of Bank of America's Global ATM Alliance Partners. If I use one of Bank of America's international partner ATMs then I avoid the non-Bank of America ATM usage fee ($5) and ATM operator access fee. The only fee I was assessed by Bank of America for using Scotiabank's ATM was a 3% international transaction fee (3% of the US dollar amount of my withdrawal). Not bad. This Scotiabank branch has three ATMs just inside the entrance with tellers and full-service banking further inside. Along with French and English, they also speak Russian here. As a Bank of America customer, I found the ATM easy to use and was able to get my cash quickly. The bank and machines were clean and I felt safe too. The neighborhood felt safe overall. There was a decent amount of foot traffic immediately outside the bank and there was a security guard in a suit patrolling the inside of the bank. I was in and out in a matter of minutes. If you need cash, this bank is a good option.

I went to this branch a few months ago in order to speak with a TD Investment Manager who spoke the…read moresame language as my mom in order to explain things to her so I wouldn't have to translate. This branch was one of the TD Canada Trust branches which had an Investment Manager who spoke the same language as my mom but I picked this location because my mom has some mobility issues so I would be driving to the bank branch as opposed to taking public transit (bus metro). For the most part this TD Canada Trust is like most TD Canada Trust branches. I didn't have any issues at this branch. They had their TD ATM machines which were functional and they had free WiFi at the branch. The one thing about this branch which is very unusual for any bank branch in a downtown location is that this branch has free outdoor parking for their clients while they are in the branch. All other banks downtown regardless of the branch either have pay parking or you need to find parking on the street. The only thing with the free parking is that they have someone monitoring the parking so if you have a long or longer meeting, you might want to speak with the attendant prior to going into the bank branch since my meeting at the bank branch was for close to an hour and when I exited the bank branch with my mom, the attendant informed me that the parking was only for TD clients at the branch. He told me that my car was parked for over an hour and to use one of the ATM machines or speak with a teller would take a maximum of 7-10 minutes assuming waiting and to speak with a TD Investment Manager would likely take less than 30 minutes. I mentioned that I was at the TD branch and he then told me that I was parked for over or close to an hour there. I then told him that he could accompany me to the branch and the TD Investment Manager can confirm that I was with her for about an hour. He asked me for the name of the TD Investment Manager whom I had a meeting with and I mentioned her name and said I didn't have an issue with us going into the branch for her to confirm that I was there with my mom for over an hour with her. He said it was fine. Unfortunately the TD Investment/Account Manager that I dealt with no longer works for TD Canada Trust but she managed to help my mom and myself out prior to her leaving. If you need to visit a TD Canada Trust branch downtown and you're driving, this is the branch to go to in my opinion because of the free parking. If taking public transit to get downtown, while this branch is located within maybe a 10 minute walk from a metro station (St-Laurent) on the green line (or you can take the bus 55 from the St-Laurent metro station instead of walking for 10 minutes), there are other more convenient TD Canada Trust branches downtown which are connected to Montreal's underground city so you don't need to go outside from the metro station (one within the McGill metro underground area, one within the Bonaventure metro area near Central Station underground area).

The staff has proven efficient, helpful, and generally more knowledgeable than their counterparts at other branches. Indeed, they've helped my solve problems that other branches either couldn't or created to begin with. If you bank with TD, would certainly recommend this location. If you're considering banking with TD, I'd recommend opening your account at this particular branch.

It's located in an older building and looks very cool from the outside. I've came here on couple occasions and was greeted by nice staff. However, since this is a smaller location, they have limited staff. Overall, I had a pleasant visit and spoke to a knowledge financial advisor during my visit. No coffee, or snacks offered though.

I did a search and this RBC branch was the closest one to my hotel. After I had finished eating breakfast, I walked a block over to the bank. It is a plus staying downtown. Everything is accessible within walking distance. The branch was open by the time I got there, which was just after 10:00 am. This branch has four ATMs. I chose the second one from the left. The prompts were in French. However, after inserting my bank card, the prompts automatically switched to English. Whoa! It knows what my language preference is. Nice! I took out my money. The transaction was smooth. I was happy. This branch is bright, spacious, and super clean. It looked pretty new to me or perhaps it has had a renovation recently. I walked back to the hotel to check out and head over to get bagels, thanks to getting money from this branch. Thanks a bunch (or five dozen bagels)! (258)
