They treat customers like they are an inconvenience to their business instead of the REASON for their business. Refused to shred some old statements and then rudely told me I was out of line for even asking. This branch has two drive through lanes but only open one even though there are often 5-6 cars lined up. I've banked with PNC for twenty-five years plus. I was with Midwest Bank and then NCB prior to PNC acquiring them. The PNC branch at Merchants Plaza has been nothing but NO. Classic big bank service and attitude. I used to do business at the branch at 21 N. Rangeline Road in Carmel before it closed. Completely different experience at the Carmel Central branch. Friendly, helpful tellers and managers. I asked to have some old paper statements shredded at Merchants Square. I used to take old statements to the Central branch and they gladly obliged. Both Merchants Square tellers got an attitude and said NO (one even got lippy), then a big guy who was some sort of self-important manager said too bad so sad. Something about legality. BS. Typical BIG bank attitude, just like on the radio commercials. Earlier this year I took some papers I needed notarized to Merchants Square. They said NO. Some lame excuse about legality again. You'll be sorry if you do business with PNC Merchants Square in Carmel.

I had the privilege of having Danielle Gaston set up the paperwork for my new account. She was kind and courteous and even allowed me to joke and banter with her. Scott Hammersley, their business/commercial lending specialist, came out and introduced himself and spent time learning about our new business coming to the Westfield area. Later when I was having trouble getting online banking and the mobile app setup, one of the bank's team took my call, walked me through it, and stayed on the phone with me till setup was confirmed. I never felt rushed or hurried, there was a calm, steady tone and constant reminders that I was their priority and they wanted me to be set up and able to use all the resources the bank had for me. I'm grateful for my time at CFBI, and I'm very impressed with the service and resources they have available. I love their approachable and dedicated commitment to our local community.

The staff is always friendly and helpful and seem to always be smiling. This trip we were helping friends newly arrived in the country to get a bank account. Our staff member k ew just what to do and was so through and helpful. She made the day of our friends as they felt as if it was the start of a new life! I have dealt with every other major, recognizable bank... only to have no record of deposits, credit my deposits to other people's account (BMO, resulting in months of follow up), not making scheduled mortgage payments when I have more than enough money in my account to cover payment (BMO, PNC), and then expecting me to pay late charges...yes, every single time, they admitted their mistake and paid for their mistakes. But... not until I spent a ridiculous amount of time arguing with them. Huntington has none of that. Everything just works. Would be a 5 star review.. if it wasn't for Huntington IT. When I signed up for my account, was told by a Huntington IT employee, that multifactor authentication was unnecessary, I was being silly for asking....trailing instead of preceding the issue. Today Huntington has multifactor authentication. 2nd reason for less than a 5 star review...the website is hit or miss...somtimes it works, as much doesn't work. An absolutely ridiculous, undependeble website. Maybe this should be a 3 star review.

Rates are generally competitive and I use them when I can (currently four accounts with them). Most transactions can be done on-line, on a smart phone or using the automated teller; but they are still nice when I need help with something relatively simple (and I should be able to do myself). i am absolutely disappointed in chase turning this into a self service limited branch. they have…read morealready closed multiple locations around the city. they remodeled this branch and removed all the tellers. now there's a lot of empty space and a glorified atm inside and they left the seated workers. i went inside to make a deposit but didn't have a debit card due to some really poor customer service at a different branch & over the phone "support". the associate was already assisting someone but she was on the phone so he was able to still help me. i was in a rush and unsure how to make a deposit at an atm with no card? he explained i could use apple pay. i thought his customer service was excellent! he checked on me a couple times to make sure the process was going okay and ended by making sure i didn't need assistance with anything else.

Sharron is our banker, has been for about 14+ years and she is awesome. Just know you should call ahead to make an appointment with her as her customers LOVE her, and if you walk in she will likely be busy. More recently, I was introduced to James Cavitt. He does home loans and refinancing. He's young. But he's great. Has an amazing attitude and really cares about you as a person. He is refinancing our home, got us locked in from a 30 year to a 15 year fixed and is still lowering our payment by $200 per month!

Video camera of the teller area shows no one in sight, so I decide to pull through and go into the bank to see if someone is available to do a simple deposit. There are two "workers" in the bank - one is trying to explain to a woman why she doesn't want to take out a home equity loan to pay off her mortgage (and she doesn't get it) and the other is shooting the breeze with another "customer" talking about week-end plans. I wait for another 15 minutes in the lobby and no one even acknowledges my existence, so I leave. This is a new low in KeyBank's already miserable service, and at the first chance I get I will be "reserving an appointment" to close out all 5 of our family accounts and ditching this bank. I may not find anything better (seems like none of them remember customer service anymore) but it sure can't get any worse. Sorry KeyBank, but you missed the mark. Not everything can be done online with your apps, and when you can't speak to a human for 20 minutes that's the end of the line.

They have some great specials, for example, when we opened a completely free checking we received a free tote. They also had a plush blanket and some other great incentives. They followed up in a week to make sure we were enjoying the account and asked if we had any questions. They have have the option for drive up! I can't express how much that helps when you have kids in the wintertime! They have a nice area to fill out checks, wait to talk to a consultant or bank teller or just enjoy a refreshment. They have tea, coffee, water, small candies, and cookies. We are very happy with the service and the location. Parking is always great and the parking lot looks very clean. There are a lot of windows which really emphasizes the beauty. In the center there is a large ceiling window you would have to see to explain. Go ahead, give them a try you won't be disappointed.
