It felt as though the realtor was participating in shady business as he would always make strange side comments. He was uneducated on the area that I was interested in and made many false statements regarding the downtown Detroit market. I often times had to educate him on what was going on in the city. He defiantly appeared untrustworthy. When it actually came time to me wanting to put in an offer on a home I had researched and present to him it seemed as though he was on the side of the seller. The contract that was to be signed was fishy in that he wanted me to place my signatures in an area that stated I would have to pay him 3% at closing which is not the norm! Pros: Restaurants nearby are great…read more Cons: Cambridge Realty / Dearborn Venture Capital held our security deposit past when we understood it was due to be returned. We filed a claim in court. They ultimately settled with us on trial day, giving us a mutual agreed upon security deposit value, but this day was over six months after the lease ended. The whole experience cost a ton of money and time. Fees and headaches related to getting the deposit back exceeded any monetary value of the deposit itself. In the end, we are extremely unhappy with their service. We will never lease from this company again.
