I grew up with this place and it's still my favorite place to get some boba. Ambiance - It's changed throughout the year, but the interior is still clean, comfortable, and with plenty of seats to accommodate a big group. Service - They try to get your order out to you as fast as they can, so I'm usually in and out w/in 5 minutes depending on how busy they are. Food - Their taro and thai teas are the best! Regular milk tea is usually a good indicator of a boba place, but unfortunately it's not too good here. Their other drinks and slushies are good though. I always get the black milk tea with regular tapioca. I'll get the mini-tapioca sometimes if I don't feel like chewing a lot. Service - People at the register are always friendly. Visiting in town and my sister highly recommended for me to try out this boba spot in Round Rock. We're from Malaysia, so we're one of those people who love the smelly fruit called Durian. Their durian smoothie with boba was so flavorful and it had such an accurate taste of the fruit. It was also very filling. I was able to use my smoothie as a meal replacement. If you're not so exotic, they have many other options of tea and flavors. So I'll go ahead and mention that I am not the most well-versed when it comes to the Thai bubble tea scene. That being said, I was reeeeaaally impressed with just about everything I have tried so far from Teapioca (although I just don't like that name, it's so goofy) So far I have tried - the Taro Cream Blastea with boba (seems to be one of the most popular, was sweet and really different) - the strawberry green Blastea with strawberry bursters (was awesome and sweet and fruity and all the things I like) - the Boba Madness (basically a mixture of almost every single ingredient they offer; I'm not going to say it wasn't good, it was just most definitely not my cup of tea) -peppermint cream green Blastea (amazing, similar to mint chocolate chip ice cream in its flavor, one of my absolute favorites that I tried) - the caramel mocha frapiocca with baby tapioca (if you're a coffee lover, omg yes this one right here) Generally there was a decent line when I was here.. this place stays popping since it's so damn dope. This is the location that I used to go to 3 years ago. I love this place because its also next to an Asian market. I got the cream tea with coffee. The coffee is really strong in this one, but it's also very good. It was less than $4. So it was priced very reasonable! make sure to tell them that you want tapioca in it, even though it's an extra 50cent for it. I got the standard milk tea and my son got the honey dew milk tea. Both tasted powdery like they used a powder creamer and it did not dissolve into the tea. The tea and flavor did not stand out. We mainly tasted creamer and sugar. We were quite disappointed. We did give this place a try a 2nd time and it was still powdery. Would I come back to get for a boba fix? Teapioca is definitely my favorite boba place. I used to visit the Oklahoma City location weekly when I was in high school, and was shocked and thrilled to find out it's actually a franchise and there's a location across the street from my apartment in Cedar Park. The drinks are always perfectly cold and not too sweet. I'm usually in and out within 7-8 minutes, there's plenty of parking, and they have a rewards program which is always awesome. My go-to is the honeydew cream blast with baby tapioca and lychee gel, but I also love their Thai tea and passionfruit green tea. Not the first time I've had boba so I know the texture is pretty soft. But these were almost fall apart and seemed like they'd been sitting there for more than they should have. Wouldn't go back to this location again but I would try this place once more to see if the boba is better at another location. BEST EARL GREY MILK TEA. I was on my way to Dallas and wanted a drink for the road. I never heard of this place but I said why not. but YES! SO GLAD I TRIED THIS PLACE! Early Grey milk tea wasn't on the menu but they were still able to make it. I think they actually brewed the early grey tea because they told me it would take a few minutes to make and when i got the drink, it was warm on the bottom. So I'm glad they don't use powder. The workers are all very sweet and patient. The place is pretty big and has indoor and outdoor seating. When there's a lot of customers it tends to get loud because everything echoes. But, still worth C: Only downside is that its quite a drive from the UT campus but I'll definitely be coming back whenever I get the opportunity. 10/10!! read more

Yummy! I get the mango smoothie with tapioca. This place is close by so whenever I get the craving for a super delectable smoothie, I come here. They also make pastries in-house that are 50 cents in the shape of little fish. Even when they are busy, the drinks come out in like 3 minutes. What have I been missing out on?! Where has this been all my life?! We stopped in on a whim, I had never really had bubble tea but I had seen this place pop up on my yelp feed, we were nearby, so I convinced my boyfriend to give it a shot with me! Well I was utterly and completely overwhelmed by the menu. I stared confused for a bit wondering what is all of this madness and where, as a newbie, do I start? I asked the girl at the counter for a little assistance and ended up with the taro cream tea, my boyfriend had some blended green tea thing. She was also very sweet and let us know if we didn't like anything we could bring it back and get something different! We were amazed. It was delicious, the taro was sweet and creamy and amazing. I always thought the little tapioca balls would gross me out but it was all so delicious!! I have a job and stuff, but I pretty much spend most of my time dealing with the transcendent questions of life: 1. Why are we here? 2. Is there a God? 3. What's the fascination with Boba tea? I've actually never had a Boba tea until late last year, and I wasn't sure if I was supposed to chew those little balls or swallow them whole. Right offhand, there can't be anything sillier than choking to death on Boba balls in front of shrieking preteens - "Ewwww! Ewwww! Ewwww!" Seriously, if you're with me and that ever happens, just kill me. I'll owe you. In the meantime, this Teapioca Lounge on Parmer is fast and convenient, it's open until 11pm, and they seem to have the requisite 67,000+ flavors & combinations of milk-tea, cream-tea, Boba-tea, coffee-tea, tea-in-bags, and what have you. I have no clue what to order when I'm here, and have always depended on the kindness of strangers. Well, at least some Yelpers I trust. Remember, Teapioca seals plastic on the top of your cup, so you just poke through it with your straw. If you try to peel it off, you're going to look silly, like I did my first time here. And finally - and this is more of a disclaimer of sorts - I've been playing around with a business plan for a traveling RV Boba shop, and the reception so far has been surprisingly enthusiastic. These monsters (otherwise known as teenagers) scare the hell out of me but thankfully my baby face does not give away the years I've actually been on this planet called Earth. Let's round it up to 10,000. Steady supply of customers.... Moms with kids... guys wearing work badges carrying armloads of drinks to coworkers back at the office... a couple from the nearby middle-school sitting on the couch probably not at the 'study session' they convinced their parents they would be... the awkward guy on a laptop communicating to his 'virtual' frien... Hey wait! The pop music playing (Daughtry, as I type this) is just loud enough to cover the occasional blender wail, but wouldn't be enough to make folks shout to hear each other. I liked playing the "Guess-if-that-person-walking-from-their-car-is-coming-here-or-to-the-Chipotle-next-door" game (many did both). It's a good place to pick up and run, or hang out for a bit. But those are good too. And I've finally figured out that I prefer the baby tapioca balls versus the regular, larger tapioca balls. My life makes sense now! This place is like crack. Just about all the time, the line here is rather long at 17 people deep. Seriously, you don't see that happening a few doors down at Starbuck's. Their drinks are also a nice replacement for coffee and booze (for me). Not to mention this place is on my way home from the gym. Pro tip: Do not take the plastic seal off the top of your drink. One of the better tap places in Austin, although a little far out from UT campus. I think it's worth the drive to come here rather than go to Coco's or Taphouse on the drag. They are a lot like the Tea House chain of stores, if you're familiar with them.. I like customizing my drinks so they are around 75% sweet, otherwise the full level of sweetness is a little much for me. I stick with the basic milk tea or green milk tea, and the tap is always on point (not too soggy, not too chewy.) Came here for the first time and now wished we had one closer to home. It was a busy Saturday night and the line was fairly long, but the wait time was rather short. To a first-timer like me, it was really overwhelming having to pick just one from the menu. So many options! I finally settled on the Pudding Tapioca Cream Tea (#20) and it was so good! I never had a pudding add-in before and to describe it, would be slightly similar to leche flan in texture and taste. The "cream tea" title confused me as I was trying to quickly scan the menu looking for milk tea, but later found that they are one in the same. My guests had the Strawberry Slurpee and Strawberry Cream Blend, both equally delicious. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in the North Austin area!
