We ordered a cappuccino and a 50/50 (espresso/milk, I don't remember the name) and it cost us 70 sek, so it wasn't too expensive. The coffees were very pretty, finally worth an Insta post lol. Walking in, the atmosphere was pretty casual with people talking it up with one another and enjoying coffee. The baristas at the counter were super welcoming and helpful when it came to choosing which drink I wanted to get. I decided to get a latte with an espresso made from Ethiopia beans and my friend got a pourover (V60) made from the Costa Rica beans. The latte was amazing and it was super smooth with the Ethiopia espresso. I tried some of the Costa Rica pourover and it was great, it had a nice and light taste to it and I loved it so much I decided to buy a bag of the Costa Rica beans. I also loved how they serve their pourovers in an Erlenmeyer flask, it made me so happy! As I was enjoying my drink, I began to talk with one of the baristas about coffee and it was great to meet such people that were so enthusiastic about coffee living their dreams and making this amazing coffee. I know I'll be back here again whenever I'm back in Sweden. Until then, I'll be missing this place on the daily.

They have a decent menu for hot beverages and OK prices. it cost a lot less then most places but there still are some less expensive ones. Expressohouse rode the cafe culture wave and now, when Starbucks finally arrived in Gothenberg, nobody cares. In fact Starbucks feels like a 2nd rate copy of Expressohouse. Students hang out to study for the free wifi, friends meet, writers and designers sip their drinks while they work off the free wifi...tourists come in...to drink a coffee and check their mail on the free wifi...jk, its a veey pleasant place to have a quick break or linger with your kindle. Various coffee and espresso chains and cafes in Europe supersede the chains here in the US. Coffee consumed across various European countries have yielded a smoother experience on the palate: there is less acidity, more depth all while remaining robust and balanced. I prefer less acidity and smoothness. That being said, these chains deliver amazing lattes. Never had such a pleasant creamy experience and to the point of being decadent. While I find the pastries in their Copenhagen branches to be a bit better, their croissants can compete on a smaller scale with those sampled in Paris. The layout of their seating areas is also equally warm and inviting. When locals roost, they do so unobtrusively: ie, share conversations in a hushed manner. So unlike the many shouting and loud verbal matches as evident every morning at various local Starbucks in the Bay Area. Who knew those aging lungs would yield such audibly jarring content! We went to several Espresso Houses during our stay in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway and the experience was the same: beautiful and inviting spaces, great assortment of delectable pastries, and amazing espresso drinks.
