Around Labor Day weekend every year, hundreds (maybe thousands) of people venture to Yellow Springs to witness this lovely gift to the community. A local family decided to beautify this plot of land and planted more sunflowers than you could possibly imagine. It's free, parking is free (do NOT park on US 68, they have safe, free parking right across from the field) and the sunflower field is majestic. You'll see people taking family photos, engagement photos, baby announcements--everything! Again, this is a free gift to the community, but they do take donations to help with the upkeep and management of the field so if you have a few bucks to throw into the donation jar, it's recommended. Be mindful and respectful of the property (don't pick the flowers!) and be aware there are lots of bees so if you're allergic or have young children with you, be prepared that you might get stung! All in all, this is a must-do, must-see destination that's worth the 60-minute drive from Columbus. I had only seen this place on Instagram and thought you know one day I want to go there and have my own photo shoot. As luck would have it I ended up in yellow springs over the weekend, only expected to be around wittenburg u. But my cousin insisted we travel to yellow springs, and we passed this large field of beautiful flowers! They humored me and we got to stop and walk around, and of course snap some pics! It's such a pretty area, you can park and just walk around a take in the sight of beautiful sunflowers worth a trip if you're in the area! read more

Great non-profit organization! Field of sunflowers with good parking for those visiting Yellow Springs! Traffic was crazy on the Saturday we went (9/14) so you were only allowed to turn right out of the lot. Definitely time you let visit so the sunflowers are in full bloom! Sunflower Heaven! This place lights up in the Summer time! Acres of Sunflowers blooming beautifully! Located in Yellow Springs. Tecumseh Land Trust is a nonprofit conservation organization serving Greene and Clark Counties of Ohio and surrounding areas. The Tecumseh Land Trust is a great place to go to view the sunflowers when they're in bloom. Unfortunately, they're only in bloom for two weeks and you don't really know when they'll decide to make their debut. LOL. You just have to like their FB page, and they'll post when the sunflowers are ready! We got the chance to see this over the weekend and it was pretty cool! It's a short drive from Dayton, and you get to stop at Young's Jersey Dairy afterwards. It's free to come here, and they guys who own this place are nice enough to even have a lot for people to park in when they're over here. They even have volunteers directing people where to go. Overall, I'd account for about 20 or 30 mins for this little excursion. It's not a big area so it'll be quick. read more

We typically go to the Yankee Street Market sunflower field each year, but this year their field failed because of too much rain. We decided to go to the Tecumseh one this year because of it. I followed their Facebook page and they did a great job updating how the field was coming along! When they announced the field was ready, we went on a week day to avoid the huge weekend crowds. I know this field is very popular, so early mornings and week days are better days to go. They have on-site parking next to the field at the entrance of farm. It's a great place for taking photos and the field is huge, so there's plenty of room to do so. Just as other sunflower fields, the sunflowers are only in bloom for about two weeks, so you only have a short window of when you can see them. You can take advantage of the location by visiting nearby Young's Dairy or downtown Yellow Springs! I have no complaints about our visit! read more

Came here during mid September with my dog solely for the sunflower fields. The fact that this place is dog friendly is a huge plus for us. Non-profit organization which was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had and was willing to open up this place for the public. Would recommend for anyone who has the opportunity to check out the sunflower fields when they are available.
