While I don't have any children who attend this daycare, I live very close. I witness happiness and…read moreplaying from the children who do so naturally but I also hear one of the ladies outside supervising YELLING at the kids. Two incidences stick out in my mind pretty clearly, I'm pretty sure it was the same lady both times. She was talking to a kid, lets call him Joe, telling him not to do something another kid asked what she said, she yelled "I said JOE! Is your name JOE?" he said "no" and she said " Last time i checked your name wasn't Joe" and the second incident I'm guessing a lot of kids were approaching her at the same time - as kids will do - and she practically screamed "You're all asking me stuff at once I cant do this! I just cant do it!" There was one seperate occasion with a different caretaker where the kids were all lined up and it looked like they were playing some sort of following game and it was all quiet and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I guess really the negativity is just from that one lady....

At the time I didn't think anything of it. The teachers were always friendly to my wife and I and our son seemed to like it just fine. They do take preschool age kids on walking field trips to the park pool library or breakfast in the summer if I do remember correctly. Then that begs the question is it to hot for small kids to be walking out there in the heat. My oldest says it was cool but he would get yelled at. The owners were real understanding that at the time we had trouble keeping up with payments and once even waited till our taxes for us to make up a crazy bill that was well past due. Now that it is time to send our younger son to daycare however we decided to go with Teddy Bear Corner. Night and day for about the same price.

It was full when I was looking for an opening for my daughter's age group, so they asked me if I was interested in being on their waiting list. I agreed and enrolled my daughter in a childcare location closest to the hospital. When an opening did come, my daughter was becoming acclimated to her classmates and teacher so I declined at the time but they had offered to keep her on the waiting list for the next opening just in case. I thought that was so generous! Please do visit this place and see if they fit your child's needs and wants for a classroom while you work.

The teachers work very well with parents and go above and beyond to ensure that each child is successful. The program is fun for the children as they learn social and behavioral skills needed when they begin kindergarten. Their teaching techniques are research based and the wealth of curriculum they incorporate exceeds basic letter and number recognition. I am a working mom. It's not easy leaving my kids in someone else's care. I need to be confident…read morethat my babies will be safe and loved while I am away! My kid loves Sweet Pea Academy. She is 4 and this is her 2nd year. She knows colors, shapes, and can count past 10. She brings home her projects and tells me what she learned. She loves it when the "stretching girls" come and teach the class how to stretch and exercise. She loves her teachers. She feels safe. She takes about a 90 minute nap every day. Every kid has a cubby to put their coat and backpack. They have outside play everyday (except during extreme temperatures.) They celebrate holidays and the kids birthdays. It's an energetic and fun environment! The staff has been very good in communicating issues that arise. They will call me if my kid is sick or if they have a concern. They notify via email regarding any contagious bugs going around in the daycare. And they also notify parents of changes in staff. The staff has been kind, warm and gracious. I feel that they truly care and love my kid! Children must be potty trained to attend. Staff do not regularly assist in bathroom. I have had other experiences in this community and lemme tell ya, this place is one of the best. I value Sweet Pea Academy. I would recommend their service!

If my sister keeps her kiddos here that's up to her. But this aunt won't be dropping anyone off anymore. Too many red flags. The classrooms are filthy, staff are rude, and management seems to just sit in their office all day. I've heard teachers radioing for help (back-up in the classroom) only to walk by the office 10 minutes later and see no rush or no movement to help the teachers. No wonder staff turnover is so high! Most of the staff who work at this facility have little to no educational accreditation. YIKES.
