In need of an early breakfast, we stumbled across the street to find wonderful smells of fresh baked breads. We were greeted at the door with a smile and a Guten Morgen. The selection of various sandwiches, cakes and breakfast breads, croissants, and donuts filled the counter before us. To-go foods, yogurts and juices were available. The Coffee and Tea were great. Breakfast was wonderful. The food was fresh, warm and filling. The staff appeared happy and were helpful. At lunch time they have fresh cooked pasta dishes prepared while you wait. Schanzenbäckerei quickly became our go-to place for a quick meal, breakfast or lunch, or for for afternoon Kaffe Kuchen.
