Tegut City became my best friend for two days. I misbooked a flight from Frankfurt to Brussels and remained stuck in Frankfurt Airport for nearly 48 hours. Instead of getting a hotel or staying with a friend, I decided to stick it out and remain at the airport the whole time. I tried eating at restaurants, but it just became too much. Tegut City is a mini-supermarket in the basement of Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport and I must have gone in and out of the store a total of 20 times throughout my 48 hours of boredom. I discovered it was much cheaper and better to snack on paprika potato chips than it was to eat another bratwurst alongside a beer. I noticed I wasn't the only one camping out at the airport, and I am sure the other people loved the convenience of Tegut City just as much as I did. read more
