I'm a patient in Michigan and not only does this place's weed burn black since it's unflushed and filled with chemicals it also doesn't understand how a MI ID works. They confiscated my friends valid ID & called the cops. Lied about taking the ID to the sheriff. Then said it randomly popped up behind the counter snapped in half. He then proceeded to tape the ID back together and gave it back to my friend. All the while the store rep refused to identify himself even with a first name and initially kicking & locking us out until the sheriff showed up. read more

The Green Room has a nice vibe: it's small, it's cozy, and they were playing electronic music. It was welcoming without being obtrusive. It is a recreactional shop as well as a medical dispensery. They have more choices for smoke and edibles than the other shop in town. The price for edibles is $25 per 100mg, and they offer quite the variety. The Gummy bears and watermelon tarts come in 10mg individual candies. The cute girl behind the counter told clients to only take one, wait an hour, and see how you feel before taking more. This is solid advice, my ganja connoisseur friend confirmed after he ate a 100mg edible from another shop that ruined his day. Start small: you can always eat more later. Hash is also available from this store, at $50 per gram. Bring cash. You can use a debit card, but you will be charged $2.50 by the store, and an additional $2.00 (or more) from your bank. So it works out that you will pay an additional $5 if you don't pay cash. The Green Room is a good concept,and provides a friendly environment in which to sell it's product. I went in to look around and see what all the "lines around the block" were about. There was no waiting at 10:30 am on a Saturday. Two sets of other people came in after me to look around too. The clerks were real helpful, helping people make the right selection. They were offering three choices. Prices was exorbitant but I read it is everywhere in CO since it went legal for recreational use. People making purchases were processed fast. read more

Stopped in this place after walking in and out of the laughably sad dungeon that is Telluride Bud Company around the corner. Neither place was busy, only one other customer in each shop when we popped in. I can only imagine how busy this place will be this coming weekend with Pearl Jam playing a show... Great service here. Greeted when we came in. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Made some recommendations, showed me some product and seemed pretty knowledgeable about what they carried. Much cleaner and nicer than most "medical" dispensaries I've seen in CO, CA or AZ. Prices are asinine; Colorado lawmakers are surely skimming off their 33% margin as nonchalantly as the mob in Casino. I hate paying any tax, but I wanted to see how the industry was progressing Colorado, and you can't really do that by being frugal and buying from a privateer. Can't hold that against this place, though. All the products are labeled well; cannabis content, ingredients and nutrition facts on all the edibles. Very impressive, and nice to see their suppliers are taking the proper steps to ensure the user knows what they are getting into. Selection isn't huge, but this is a tourist town, so they don't need to have every baked good, candy concoction or infused beverage under the sun here. They have enough to keep you entertained, and most seems of good quality. Edibles were VERY potent. Be careful with these things. Taste great, and individually packaged so they won't stink up the place when you open them. All plant products are pre-packaged. Not a huge fan of that, as I like to see what I get when I get it, but I feel I did get a generous 3.5g (and for only double what street price is!). Strain selection is so-so. You never know what you're getting, since names don't mean a thing. They seemed to be a bit sativa-biased (not a fan...), and all the buds I saw were average to smaller sized. No hall-of-famer kolas here. I went with a familiar sounding Indica because I like to sleep in the woods. Quality was decent; fairly effective, clean-tasting and pretty fragrant. In the ballpark of anything I've grown or found in California or Canada. Good stuff. Just can't get over that fucking TAX!!!!!! Definitely stop by if you enjoy dabbling in cannabis and are in Telluride. Just be prepared to have the State of Colorado turn you upside down and shake every cent out of your pockets. read more

Great selection of herb and of delivery systems. Super chill, nice crew of bed tenders...very welcoming and informative. Try the chemmy jones- BOOM . Some of the shops in this town are pretty weak and I would never go to the chain store-fux that place and their predatory pricing...but TGR seems to be the classiest, mellowest...go! read more

God, I love Colorado! Small shop with decent options at standard prices. Selection of edibles was lacking which is why I'm only giving 3 stars. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would def stop in next time I'm in Telluride but I'd like to check out the other options in town first. read more

I stopped by Telluride Green Room the other day, it's one of the friendliest dispensary's I've ever been in. I had an o-pen that stopped working for some reason, they replaced it right there no charge! I would recommend TGR to everyone! The Telluride Green Room is hands-down the best dispensary in the Telluride area, and has been my favorite now for over 11 years! The product is truly superior in every way, and their prices are appropriately higher than some of the others in town with "twiggy" product. I have to be a little honest with this review. I'm not trying to bash the establishment, nor am I a disgruntled former customer or shameless competitor. I walked into the Telluride Green Room after not having smoked in several years. I was on vacation at the time, and since marijuana is recreationally legal in Coloraodo, I figured that trying some of telluride's product could be fun. I am not, nor have I ever been a regular user of pot. I have a history of bad paranoia and general feelings of uneasiness associated with the drug, so I naturally never became a regular user. I figured that there probably was a strain or two out there that would suit me, so I entered the TGR hoping to get some good advice. I explained my history and prior pot experience to the bud tender inside the shop, but unfortunately he didn't seem as interested in giving me too much advice or guidance. I explained that I have had difficulty enjoying pot in the past and that I was looking for something a bit more mellow and relaxing. He quickly recommended the "Light of Jah" strain, so taking his advice I paid for one gram, a pack of papers, and headed promptly back to my condo. I rolled a joint, took 3 small hits over the course of about 15 minutes, and waited for it to take effect. I have always responded badly to large doses of pot, so I made sure to smoke a small amount this time. Unfortunately, I cannot say that I enjoyed the effects of this particular strain. Overall, it was simply a bad high. Not enjoyable in any capacity, and made me feel very clouded and anxious. "Light of Jah" is in no way a strain of weed that I can personally recommend to anyone. What I didn't like about my experience in the TGR was that the bud tender didn't particularly seem interested in listening to my concerns of which strain would be appropriate. Despite the fact that these store wasn't busy, it was like he wanted to get me in and out as fast as possible. I came into the establishment looking for a suitable strain that was appropriate for me as a smoker, but the TGR failed to adequately point me in the right direction.
