Oh, Telstra. When absolutely nothing is wrong with your hardware, your bill, your service or your coverage, Telstra is great! Competitive pricing, good selection of hardware and lots of add on services.
But. If even the slightest thing happens to not go 100%, you are in for a torturous time trying to get things sorted out. A store will tell you they can't help and to call the 1800 number, the 1800 number will tell you they can't help you and to go back into a store. Meanwhile, you sit phoneless unless you want to pay out your current contract and choose a more expensive plan. There's dozens of people in the shop, but you seem to have to wait for an hour to even talk to anyone, and that's even if you have the foresight to make an appointment.
Seems like having a virtual monopoly makes you lazy and complacent. Who would have thought? read more
