Had to go here to fix some legal paper work. You do have to go through a detector like at the airport. Then to check in you use a kiosk (see photo) and you get a number letter like "C301." But they are not printed consecutively so you need to pay attention or check the monitors for what numbers have been called. The people there are very friendly and helpful. I have been there twice now and both times the people have been very helpful because legal paperwork can be confusing. Since you have to go, not a bad option.

The park outside was excellent especially during nice weather. Plenty of room to do your asanas and pranayama. We received a free yoga tank top with "Be Present" emblazoned on the front and a sticker. I found them on Yelp event section, and I am so glad I went. I hope they offer more free yoga classes here!

They were amazing instructors. I no longer worry about Brad when swimming. He learned so much. Seeing the progress Brad made in a little time, made me want to sign up too. I have been swimming since I was 2 years old, but I was never formally taught to swim. I thought this was a great opportunity, plus it got me out of the extreme heat! While swimming there I found out they offer tennis lessons, aerobics, exercise, and other fun adult classes. The facilities and buildings are always clean and accommodating.

I had to submit a police report for one of my jobs and without going into detail (for security…read morereasons), I called the non-emergency number since it wasn't a bodily harm emergency. A big thank you to Officer J. Cruz for his professionalism, kindness, and quick action once he arrived. Although there was a delay, he apologized, took my concerns seriously, and handled the situation with care. I truly appreciate the way he treated me. One area that could be improved is the non-emergency call response. I tried to discreetly signal that I was in distress by asking for a pizza, but the call taker repeatedly told me I had the wrong number and didn't recognize that I might have been asking for help. While I understand not everyone is familiar with these types of distress signals, I hope the department considers additional training so staff can better identify callers who may be unable to speak openly. Thank you again, Officer J. Cruz, for your outstanding service. You definitely deserve a raise and a promotion for addressing the situation at hand, right away once you arrive.

Staff is friendly and very helpful - took less than 5 minutes to get a library card. The children's and young adult areas are part of the first floor. You can check out their events calendar online to see when their story time events, movie nights, and other socializing events are. There's also a room where you can have access to a variety of supplies, whether it be different tools for an art project, a 3d printer, and much more. The second hand bookstore is also here. I'm not sure what the basement floor is used for on the daily but I've been to one of their book sales down there. Second floor has the computers for adults, more books, and a seed library.

But the kids are being taught to play or read quietly so it isn't a day care, it's a great learning environment. We have been to the library a lot this summer, I find new ideas all the time. The stacks for adults are pretty standard. There's a little section of books for sale out front from their friends of the library and they have good books for very reasonable to downright great prices. Apparently they get lots of donations of good books in good shape. All in all, this is a smaller but still good enough library and even as visitors, we enjoyed it.

This is my local library, and while it's smaller than other branches, I still enjoy coming here. Another Yelper asked me to do the Maricopa reads summer challenge with her, so I said, "Sure, why not?" I am always reading, so this will be fun! As an adult, you can also participate, and once you get to certain levels of points, the library rewards you with some prizes. I came here yesterday to check out my prizes, and the librarian was nice and handed me items I won. I got a free drink pass for Cane's chicken, a one day pass use for AZ parks, and also a free coupon to collect a gently used book at any local library. I honestly don't need any of these items, but it's still fun to win prizes. If you know me, you'll know I love to win free items, but honestly, who doesn't? Local libraries here also offer cultural passes to some of our favorite museums and destinations, so I really appreciate that! I did spot some passes for the Heard Museum, so next time, I am here, I will check them out so I can visit the museum. I have checked out the cultural passes for the Desert Museum in Tucson, and that was great! This library is also a cooling center, and if you need a reprieve from our hot desert weather, this place is for you. They also provide bottled water too. This time, when I was here, they were also proving free covid at home tests and also opiate naloxone reveral kits. I really appreciated seeing that! I love public libraries. You can always count on this bookworm to be hiding in one!
