Service Time: 11am - 12:15pm
The people of Temple come from all walks of life, but when we gather for worship we approach God in the same way - through His incredible grace! Church isn't about putting on a mask where we try to convince others that we are really good people. In fact, the one thing we all have in common is the fact we are sinners, and desperately in need of God's grace!
In our service, you'll experience quality music that directs people to focus on God, not the musicians. You will not find a friendlier church in town!
We provide nursery and a children's worship experience in our Kidzworld during our service. Visit our Children's Ministry Page for more info.
There is no dress code at Temple, we encourage you to come as you are. 1 Timothy 2:9 makes it clear that our motive in coming to church should be to worship God, not draw attention to ourselves by how we are dressed.
Watch one of our archived sermons to see what the preaching is like, then come experience it for yourself.
History
Established in 1950.
Temple has a rich history since it's beginning in 1950. It was started from ParkHill Baptist Church (then on the East side). In those days before the bridges were built, many members on the S. side of town would be late or would miss church altogether because of the trains.
Ever since, people from Pueblo's South side and all over Southern Colorado have experienced God's unconditional love and His redeeming grace at Temple.
Watch the video below for a little more history, then join us to see how God will use us in the future!
Meet the Manager: Ken W.
Ken and his wife Amy met in Temple's youth group back in 1991. They dated throughout high school, married in 1997, and moved to Phoenix, AZ to study for ministry at Southwestern College (Now Arizona Christian University). Ken served as Youth Pastor at North Village Baptist Church in Phoenix until he graduated in 2000. After graduation, Ken, Amy & their firstborn son, Trevor, moved just outside of Austin, TX to become the youth pastor at Central Baptist Church in Leander, TX.
In Texas the Lord added a second child, Sherri, to the Wood family. They served at Central until 2005, when God opened the doors to come back to Temple as the Youth Pastor here.
During the first year back at Temple, the Wood's third child, Emma, was born. Ken was the Youth Pastor until November of 2010 when he was appointed as the new Senior Pastor.
Ken loves to hike in Colorado's beautiful mountains, ride bikes with his family, and to share life with others following Jesus.
