We love worshipping our Lord! Read the Psalms-David worshipped with instruments and singing. There are ear plugs for those who can't enjoy the volume of the music. The messages are Biblical, and Jesus is spoken constantly here. Our old church barely mentioned His name. After the first visit, we were home.

How am I the first to review that FABULOUS church?!?!…read more We are up in NY visiting friends and family this week. My sister-in-law invited us to go to church with her Sunday morning. My first thought was "Church on vacation??? I'd rather sleep in." But we decided to go and I'm so glad we did!!! Pulling up to this church, we were surprised by the sheer SIZE of it! It's huge!! There was even a parking attendant directing traffic! Outside the church, there were fun outdoor games: cornhole, ladderball, etc. as well as a food truck and coffee tent. Inside... wow. STUNNING! I LOVED how modern the decor was! Just GORGEOUS! Very spacious! I was SHOCKED that there was a Starbucks in the lobby! WHAAAAAAAT?!?! My sister-in-law had checked the kids into the kids program (Sunday school???). For safety, the children and parent(s) get identification stickers which match up. Everyone was so friendly and inviting!!! We felt very welcomed! Kind of sad that we don't have a cool church like this near us! We found out that if you go to their website, you can watch their services LIVE or ARCHIVED where ever you are!!! We will definitely have to check that out! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have watched online for a few months now, after having my second baby and going through many life…read morechanges, I've found myself in hard financial times. I was saved in 2023 after years of believing in other false ideologies. Since 2024, and currently, I've been letting the Holy Spirit lead me to a solid church for baptism. Not something to rush into, I sought out Grace Road initially for baptism, but missed their last baptism Sunday. Pastor Dan W connected with me after emailing them and helped approve me for a financial need through their care ministry. He and the church staff also prayed for me last Wednesday (12/17/25) after submitting a prayer request for things God has me in right now. Without even having attended in person, and without even meeting me personally, Grace Road has welcomed me with open arms and prayer. I intend to keep tuning in online and hope to be able to tithe to their church. I trust the Lord will move in me when it comes a day for my children and I to visit the church first hand. It just is difficult with little familial support and being a single mom with small children/also trusting strangers to care for them.

It feels odd "reviewing" a church, and I have been reluctant to do just that for several months…read more However, my experience at Monroe Park Vineyard was so exceptional, that I think it might be helpful for others searching. Right off the bat, you know this church is different - they meet at their community space. It looks like a coffee shop with sofas scattered around a large room. The walls are brightly painted and adorned with local artists' work - work that is available for sale. The pastor is female and enthusiastically requests that you don't call her Pastor, but rather by her name, Dorothy. While many churches recognize the concept of each member of the body of Christ having a meaningful role, MVP sees it to fruition. A collaborative approach is maintained every Sunday morning: each message concludes with attendees sharing their thoughts are on the subject. This adds dimension to the teaching, and also builds community, as various individuals share their experiences and life lessons. MPV welcomes diversity and it is well reflected in it's congregants socio-economically, geographically, and racially. The church's main directive is simply to meet people where they are and introduce them to the love of God - a love that does not require anything from you - but merely that you accept it. I had considered myself a post-believer: one who carried the undesirable residue of "churchianity"and as a result vacillated between agnosticism and atheism. That ended several weeks after attending MVP. This church literally changed my life. If you desire to have a relationship with the God, but the thought of stepping into a church scares you, I strongly encourage to visit MPV. You never know...

I have been to a few Catholic churches in Webster and surrounding areas and found them to be just…read moreokay. Many people talked to each other in the congregation during the service which I found to be quite rude and made my experience very bad. When my wife and I visited Holy Spirit we were welcome as we entered the sanctuary provided bulletins. The inside of this church is very large. We went to the 2nd service and so surprised to read in the bulletin the number of people that turn out to the services. I believe in was a couple hundred at least. They have a very nice choir where you can actually hear them sing over the congregation. Many churches I've been to it has been you can barely hear the choir at all. I found the children's portion of the service to be very welcoming to kids of all ages. All and all we will be visiting again. Such a wonderful place to attend worship. The priest we met during our visit was quite nice. We had a chance to speak with him regarding our visit as it was our first time there. He was surprised to hear that we heard of the church because it was where we went to vote this year.

Sacred Heart Cathedral is the only designated site for Jubilee Year 2025 declared by Pope Francis in the Diocese of Rochester, New York. The Cathedral's ceiling depicts the night sky on the day of the Diocese founding on March 3, 1868, which adds a unique piece of history when the Cathedral was renovated in 2005. The 16 angels atop the trusses and beautifully painted adds to the interior of the Gothic Revival architecture structure. The prominent Opus 26 pipe organ in the aspe behind the sanctuary is encompassed by ornate carved wood. I remained for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at the Saturday Vigil after confession. However the modern individual seating in place of traditional pews seems out of place for the 1927 church and the distribution of communion using 2 individual kneelers seemed odd in place of a traditional communion rail. All in all, my experience attending Sacred Heart Cathedral was positive. The priest's message was enlightening and left absolved and a better follower of the faith. I look forward to a return visit when in Rochester, New York.

Some of the people who had known me in my youth made it clear they didn't know me anymore. Pastor Mike, on the other hand , was very gracious. What I like most about Mike is he doesn't put God in a box and isn't afraid to say what's on his heart even if it puts him in a position where some of the congregation disagrees with him.
