A wonderful congregation looks forward to welcoming you and your family of all flavors of Jewish faith to our newly renovated, historic synagogue! We are a universally accessible, interfaith-family friendly, musical, and heimish synagogue. Temple Emmanuel Chelsea serves congregants from across the North Shore. We offer a reform siddurim for Shabbat services and festivals and a conservative siddurim for the high holidays. Shabbat services begin at 6:30 pm on Friday nights and Sunday morning minyan begins at 9 am, with breakfast preceding at 8:30 am. We invite you to come and experience our Temple family.

History

Established in 1900.

Built during the period of time when Chelsea was more than 1/3 Jewish, this synagogue continues to visiting its past while looking forward to building a solid future. " By 1910, the number of Jews in Chelsea had grown to slightly more than 11,000 or one-third of the total population...Per square mile there were more Jews living in Chelsea in the 1920s than almost any other place in America, except for New York City. Chelsea, in its 1.8 square miles once housed eighteen synagogues."
