Just stopped to visit the gift shop this time. We stayed at The Four Seasons, but next time we'll book a stay here. We bought lots of lovely gifts for neighbors, family and friends. The man that rang us up at the front of the gift store. Also got us in for lunch at the Izanami Japanese restaurant on Valentines Day!

Oh boy yall. We stayed at Los Ojos, which was amazing- did I make a mistake booking 10-thousands na leaving my 'eyes' Absolutely NOT, you drive up up up the mountain, passing by million dollar homes, then you arrive. Reviews say park high blah blah- yall, they have a shuttle to take you up and down: Park wherever- enter into a blissfully indulgent day. They have a grand pool mineral spring with a cold plunge, sauna and omg the view, the surroundings, everything is perfect- all this is free for the day with any spa booking - they have a foot bath, changing rooms, showers Dyson blow dryers and a restaurant with happy hour from 3-5 daily. You can spa, eat, and rerun for the evening till 9! Oh yea, the Japanese facial was amazing

While on vacation in Santa Fe I booked a massage at Ten Thousand Waves. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous! My massage was phenomenal!! I was on a time limit so I didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities but they had red light therapy, a cold plunge and hot tubs. They also offer a Japanese style menu and lodging. It's definitely an experience to book!

What an oasis! So fascinating knowing that this place is in Santa Fe and not in Japan. The facility was very clean and I enjoyed using their in house products as well. They smell great! Since we got Japanese facials we had unlimited time at the communal Grand Bath. All spa appointments get access to the Grand Bath however you can reserve private tubs/rooms as well. The property is sprawling with well manicured trees, plants and shrubs. You really feel like you're far away from any city. The waters were calming and hot, ice bath way too cold for me to handle. Likewise for the sauna-too hot for me to handle. The Japanese facial was excellent. I've never received one and it was exquisite. My masseuse told me that in Japan it originated as only males were allowed to give the facials and only to royalty so maybe that's why it felt so luxurious. The whole property makes me you feel luxurious.

It was challenging to get reservations here for a private soak online. We called and they said they had a hold that was due to expire at a certain time and so we called at that time and were able to snag a spot. They have different private rooms to choose from, but for this one we just had to take what was available, which was fine. It was a big hot tub, cold plunge, and sauna that a friend and I shared. It also had a private bathroom and shower. My friend was not into the communal bathing so this worked out well for us. While it was a private space, it was still outside, so keep that in mind for the sun and weather. The location is beautiful and the decor is very Zen. We made the mistake of parking at the bottom right when you drive in and had to walk all the way up. If you keep driving, you can likely find a spot closer to the front door. We also had a wonderful dinner at the on-site restaurant, but I will review that separately.

My Mom and I have been coming to Ten Thousand Waves for years and it is such a relaxing and amazing place! This time around, my massage therapist had call out due to sickness and Serena at the front desk made the experience a great one, despite the sad news. Her customer service more than made up for my missed massage, and I was able to enjoy the Grand Bath, the warming foot soak facilities and the sauna while my Mom was in her massage. The grounds are so beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and the services are top notch. We already can't wait to come back next year!

I took my daughter for her birthday. We had a girls spa day. She had a facial and I had a shiatsu massage. Both were amazing. Fish took great care of me. Afterwards I had no pain and felt great. Marla gave my daughter her facial. She was excellent. Her skin was glowing. She looked beautiful. We also had a private spa to relax in. We had the Shin Kobuta spa. It was a nice big spa with a private bathroom and shower. As well as a private sauna. We spent our 90 mins in luxury.

My partner and I absolutely loved 10 thousand waves. We found out that if you book a massage you their grand bath/sauna is included in the massage price. The staff were very friendly and it was an extremely calming place. I loved that they had a cold plunge, nice sauna, and soaking pool with lots of space to sit. The decor was beautiful and made the whole experience feel magical. It was so worth it and I wish we actually would have went here twice on vacation instead of going to another well known spa in town.

When we drove in, the parking lot was just about full and the space that was available was too small for my truck. The security guard who I wish I could remember his name as he was such a gem, let me know that he will park my truck for me. He had a fabulous Texan accent and he was just the nicest man. He said go on inside and check in and when you come back out, I will park your truck for you. The woman who greeted me inside was so lovely. She said I am so glad you are here! You are our last guest to arrive and I will get you all checked in. It felt like we were in a different time almost, it was so cozy and quaint. Our hotel room itself was perfect. We had two beds and they were so comfortable and the linens were fabulous. The wall hangings and paintings were gorgeous. The bathroom was adorable and had pretty New Mexican tile. Even the carpets and rugs were beautiful. They do have a restaurant and room service. They have a complementary breakfast cooked to order which is something I have never seen before. Unfortunately we were so tired the next day we missed the breakfast, but we will definitely book another stay in this hotel. The reception area is beautiful and has lovely couches and sitting areas. The paperwork in the rooms is extremely thorough and will tell you everything you need to know, from room service to if you have difficulty parking your car to nearby restaurants and sightseeing. I did not read all of the paperwork when I first got to the hotel and in the morning I called for coffee to be delivered to my room. I later saw that coffee is actually set out for guests in the reception area so the woman who brought me the coffee really only did it out of kindness. I definitely felt like this hotel gives five star service.

And they didn't hv any 2 bed rooms available. So I found this place And in that week between Christmas and New Year's we still wanted to catch the Christmas lights and farolitos And if you too are about location, location, location This was perfect If you've ever had to drive to Santa Fe, you know that parking can be a bear -- and it was, with a lot of the main streets blocked off in anticipation of NYE celebrations. The hotel is actually quite a large, sprawling complex, much deeper that what might be assumed when pulling in. We got there mid-afternoon so could park rt in front of our first floor room. I hadn't even thought about that but my creaky knees were happy and quite relieved to only hv to haul my wee bag up 7 steps or so. Check in was easy, if a bit crowded, as a lot of regulars like to show up a bit early too. The doorman was a very polite young man and everyone made us feel welcome. The older gentleman at the counter was a font of information And made sure we knew abt the Happy Hour Short and sweet Whatever you do: try the biscochitos! (The official NM state cookie, fyi - for a reason - when done right, and these definitely are!) Everything was very clean Even with all the Christmas decorations and greenery out There's an excellent restaurant on site And when they say there's "a bit of a kick", and shd you be a wuss like me, order the spicy on the side. Staff was very considerate abt this. And breakfast is pretty good too! And it was so easy to walk to everything, stuff I usually don't get to see bc I'm usually on the other side of town. All in all, a lovely stay

The valets offered a warm welcome that set the tone for our entire stay and the front desk check in was friendly and efficient. In fact, every single staff member we came into contact with was an absolute delight. From the manager who we encountered each afternoon and always took the time to engage with us, to the awesome lady with the funky makeup who served the complimentary afternoon drinks. Everyone we came into contact with was lovely, even the lady bussing tables was a delight. Our room on the 2nd floor was ok, it was very long and narrow and despite having plenty of sq ft, the layout made it feel small. The bathroom was decent and the linens, towels and amenities were a good quality. Each day at 5.30pm the hotel offers complimentary drinks and snacks. We checked it out once; the cocktails, although served with a big smile, were cheap and sugary (as expected). The food (pasta and baked potatoes with fixings, hot dogs and popcorn), wasn't to our taste but many of the guests with children appeared to be making a full dinner out of them, so that is definitely a great feature for families on a budget. The location is really good, no more than a 7 min stroll from everything in the historic center of Santa Fe. I would recommend this hotel for family road trips and business travelers on a tight budget. The staff make this hotel a place you should consider if you're ever coming to Santa Fe.

But where? Reviewers touted the Inn Of The Turquoise Bear.....and they were right. Pros: - Location: Central. Just south of the downtown area and a 15 minute walk to Canyon Road. - Exterior: A sprawling property in a residential neighborhood. Several smaller buildings seem to have been added over the (many) years to the main building seen on most photos of the property. - Interior: Like going back 100 years. Things were fixed, of course...especially in public spaces...but you might feel as if you're in a living museum. - Our Room (Witter Byner): Large and rambling. More than enough room for 2 people plus a balcony overlooking the front of the property. Very comfortable. I could live there for a month if we didn't mind going up and down 15 stairs to the main floor. One interesting aspect: The bathroom. It was very nice and fully equipped, but separate from our room and down 5 stairs. That wasn't a problem during the day, but a few nights were an adventure - Breakfast: Unreal. Everything was homemade with great taste. The buffet portion had sliced fruit, granola, juices, pastries and yogurt. The hosts and kitchen staff had 3-5 entrees available each day. I rarely tried those since I filled up on the buffet, but my wife ate one every day and only had good things to say. Service at the community table was gracious and unhurried with lots of interesting conversation. - Amenities: A 1-2 hour Happy Hour every day starting at 430 or 5 PM. Fresh cookies, fruit, tea and jug water were available all day (coffee from 630-10 AM). Umbrellas. Plenty of smiles. - Hosts: Everyone was very friendly, helpful, informative and even charming. Special thanks to Aileen (sp?). - Housekeeping: Effective, efficient and unobtrusive. - Parking: Sufficient. The large courtyard in front of the of the property provided enough room for cars in the 11 room B&B. - Price and Value: Reasonable. It's not cheap, but as in most cases you get what you pay for. We'd heartily recommend the Inn Of The Turquoise Bear, but make reservations well in advance.

Dust was caked into the corners, a dead bug was in the ripple of the vintage rug, and we were greeted by a dried booger on the bathroom door (seriously). The door frame lets light in, the floors creaked like a haunted house, and the entire layout felt like it was designed by someone who's never actually had to sleep there. There were no privacy blinds, only wooden shutters, and the artwork provided enough clutter to fill the room just in case you forgot your own luggage. Breakfast was the big show! Most of what we were served was delicious. For an extra $45 per person, you'll be given whatever the kitchen feels like making that morning... no choices, no allergy considerations, and not even a glass of water. The room came with two bath towels. The shower gel was empty. The tissues are running out. Called front desk and someone came in timely to give a newly filled bottle of shower gel and some additional bath towels. We put up the privacy signs. Their trash bin was very slim.... With kids in the place, it was constantly knock over and doesn't hold much. I know we were meant to order room service. But the tissue ran out on day 2. the bin was mostly full with the tissue box disposed. Though only on 2nd floor, our room was quiet. I used the gym for Friday morning workout. Dumbbells were great. There were quite a few people on Friday morning for both cardio and weight training. The outdoor pool seems nice but it was cold and outdoor fireplace needs to be lite to be warm enough to use. We barely used much of the tissues either. But we are grateful to have a room ready around noon. This is a hotel accommodating folks from different time zones. Their breakfast ends at 10am while it is 9am PST. Restaurant here was a bit frustrating for us (ie Lunch hour ends at 2pm but no lunch was served at 1:05pm). Other than some minor issues, we were happy here overall.

This used to be our go-to hotel whenever we visited Santa Fe. After 15+ years of family trips and…read morestays here, we'll unfortunately be looking elsewhere. The biggest issue is security. During our most recent stay, our vehicle was one of at least three that were broken into with many very large/heavy items stolen overnight while parked in the hotel's paid parking lot. The lack of security measures, whether cameras, patrols, or staff presence, was disappointing and left us feeling unsupported after the incident. What was even more frustrating was management's response. When the answer to multiple vehicle break-ins is as we were told by the GM - there's nothing we can do and that cameras don't deter theft or help identify thieves - it's time for us to stay somewhere else. We understand that crime can happen anywhere, but guests paying for parking should reasonably expect the property to take security seriously and make an effort to protect them. What makes this especially difficult is that we've always loved this property. The hotel has a historic charm, a great location that makes it easy to explore Santa Fe on foot, and while the rooms aren't luxury accommodations, they always felt comfortable and familiar - like a home away from home. Through the years, the staff has consistently been friendly and welcoming. That's what makes this review so disappointing to write. What was once a 5-star experience for our family has dropped to about a 3-star experience because we no longer feel confident that our vehicle and belongings are safe while staying here.
