First visit but won't be my last. 'Tender' Steakhouse truly lives up to its name. Their steaks are not dry-aged like 90% of Vegas fine steakhouses, but wet-aged using special house rub and marinade -- the result is one of the most juicy, flavorful, buttery soft steaks I've ever had! I ordered the $42 Black Pepper Filet Medallion with zucchini (substituting frites) and it was the Bomb, maybe too spicy for some, but I loved it. I'm gonna try to replicate the black pepper sauce at home (look up "Steak Au Poivre" on youtube.) My friend ordered the $59 prix-fixe 3-course with a large steak; he said it was also super excellent. Our waiter was a lovely old-school gentleman who pulled out the chairs for us (not just the ladies!) Tried out their Summer Pre-fix Menu and the selections were great for $59. You pick a starter, main and dessert. We had the caesar salad and shrimp & grits as our starters and both were good with the grits being great. We had the NY steak and the $15 upgrade to the ribeye. The steaks looked great with char grill marks but from there that's where it goes down hill. The NY was more tender than the ribeye!!! How is that possible?! We asked both steaks to be cooked medium rare and they came out closer to medium which was fine. The char was the first thing you tasted and there was little to no seasoning and we had to ask for salt. Had a third left on the ribeye and told Alan our server the issue with the steaks. I did tell him I didn't expect anything but I wanted to make sure other guests don't have similar experiences. The service provided by Alan and the team were great. The starters and desserts were fantastic but the chef grilling the steaks needed more experience because it ruined what was a good experience otherwise. read more

We enjoyed a seamless early dinner, beginning with a warm reception from the polite front-of-house staff, who seated us almost immediately. The dining room offers an intimate ambiance, characterized by subtle, low lighting and the restaurant's signature comfortable plush booths providing a quiet, private setting for intimate dinners. Our server Manuel B. provided exemplary service--he was remarkably engaging, attentive, and hospitable throughout our meal. Our dinner began with Sauvignon Blanc and an Old Fashioned featuring (Old Forester). Next up was a small Caesar salad (a larger version is available). This week Tender is offering a price fix menu with choice of appetizers, entree, and dessert for $59.00. While enticing, we passed on this offering and ordered lobster dinners from the main menu. My wife went with the single lobster tail dinner and I chose the double lobster tail dinner. Each dinner included mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. The lobster tails were perfectly broiled. My search for using an MGM affiliated dinner credit was a journey to say the least. It began in Mandalay Bay (lines for my preferred option), moving via tram on to Excalibur (no decent options available besides a food court) and ending in Luxor. "Tender" was on the food credit list, and although they needed reservations for booths (therefore unavailable), they could accommodate me at the bar. Bar staff were fantastic and the ambience was cool - a mix of nostalgic stylish lounge vibes. The food was thankfully great also. Came here while visiting Vegas to celebrate my husband's birthday & Mother's Day. Made a reservation the day before for an early dinner to beat the crowd and happy that I did that because it was like we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The inside is beautiful, especially the pictures of various singers. We were sat in a corner booth and immediately shown the specials for the day and the full menu. We decided to start with the crab cake then we went with the Jack Daniels three course menu. All of food came out at a great pase and everything was amazing! We were locals being tourists at Mandalay Bay & decided to try Tender at the Luxor for the Tomahawk steak for 2 & some appetizers. The hostess' were friendly & prompt for seating in a comfy booth for late dining around 9pm. The ambiance was ok but surprisingly very hot inside, like a/c issue hot, & lighting over the booth shined directly onto your face if you are not sitting at a certain angle. Our waiter was a little attitudey but seemed to get slightly better over time. The servers were extremely friendly though. We felt the calamari was a bit tough & chewy, but the drinks were delicious, along with the wedge. The star of the show, the Tomahawk, did not disappoint as it was large & cooked to perfection. I also loved the shrimp & grits. Our bill for Tomahawk for 2 meal which came with bread, salads & 2 desserts, & our separately ordered appetizers & 2 drinks (1 alcohol), & tip totaled close to $300. Pricey for locals, even with a military discount for us to revisit but we would consider coming back if only ordering a special with no additional appetizers. This is an upscale steakhouse though, so the high pricing is to be expected I suppose, maybe for special occasions. read more

While it's upscale, it's not pretentious and casual attire should be fine. You'd feel out of place in shorts and flip flops though! The filet mignon was delicious and cooked perfectly medium rare. We've been to Tender Steakhouse twice. The first time, a few years ago, was excellent--honestly one of the best steaks I've had, which is saying a lot considering it was a flat iron. Everything from the food to the drinks and dessert was spot on. Unfortunately, our recent visit (April 2026) was a completely different experience, mainly due to how my peanut allergy was handled. We were staying at Luxor Hotel & Casino and chose Tender for a nicer meal to end the trip. Service started off friendly, though we weren't asked about allergies. That's not uncommon, so I asked about dishes myself, as I always do. We ordered starters, mains, dessert, and drinks, and everything seemed fine at first. The kitchen even accommodated a request to swap the coffee rub and butter onto a different steak. For dessert, I asked about the "Pot De Crème," described by our server as a black sesame custard pudding, with no mention of anything else. I double-checked, and he confirmed that was essentially it, so I ordered it. My partner, who is quite fussy, had already asked for almonds to be removed from her dessert, which further reinforced my assumption that any nuts would be clearly mentioned. When mine arrived, it had a caramelised nut on top. I assumed it was something like almond or pecan (both of which I can eat), and that assumption is on me--I should have queried it. About 30 minutes later, I started feeling unwell, initially thinking I'd just overeaten. That quickly escalated into being sick for over an hour. It then occurred to me that the topping might have been peanuts. My partner went to check, and they confirmed it was. What followed was the most disappointing part. The manager was dismissive, showed no sympathy, and placed the blame entirely on us, stating it's not their policy to ask about allergens--even after being told we had specifically asked for a full description of the dish. There was no apology. Instead, we were given $50 breakfast vouchers (on a $200+ meal), despite the restaurant not even being open for breakfast. To contrast, the response from Luxor Hotel & Casino was excellent. They took the situation seriously, sent security and medical assistance, and followed up the next day to check on me and comp the meal. The lack of care and accountability from Tender is genuinely concerning. In more severe cases, this kind of oversight could result in anaphylactic shock. While I recovered, it completely ruined one of the final days of our trip. Next time, we'll take the advice we were given and go somewhere like Bavette's Steakhouse & Bar instead. read more

Came here with a group of six and had such a great night at Tender Steakhouse. The atmosphere is one of those places that feels upscale but still comfortable enough to actually relax and enjoy the evening. Dim lighting, a stylish dining room, and just the right energy without being too loud -- perfect spot for a long dinner with friends. We started with lavender martinis which were honestly one of the highlights of the night. Super smooth and a little different from the usual cocktail you see everywhere. For food we had a mix at the table -- steaks, chicken, and of course we couldn't skip dessert. The steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and the chicken was just as good. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food here. And the mousse dessert at the end was the perfect finish. Overall it was one of those dinners where nobody wanted to leave because everything from the drinks to the food to the vibe just worked. That salad was FANTASTIC and DELICIOUS!!! The smoked applewood bacon was crispy and flavorful. The balsamic glaze was just right. ( Not strong vinegary taste ). The smoked sun-dried tomato dressing was killer!!! We both had the bone-in ribeye steaks. It looked fantastic when they brought it out. It was cooked to our liking. The quality was great. It tasted like they put salt and pepper on before grilling. You may choose to purchase enhance sauces to make your meal more flavorful. Like green peppercorn sauce, red wine sauce, truffle butter, or their trio of sauces. Our steak came with chimichurri sauce. The steaks were delicious, but not out of the ballpark kind!! The decor was like you went back in time. You could close your eyes and imagine the movie stars gathering around. It's a beautiful place. The pictures don't do it justice. The bar staff were very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Food was delicious! Bread service seemed to be absent. I know they used to provide that. I started with a quite good Caesar salad. Then I had the filet Mignon with a red wine sauce and a loaded baked potato. I finished with the chocolate mousse cake. I wish they had a more premium selection of wines by the glass. I remember coming here around twenty years ago and they had Jordan Cabaret Sauvignon by the glass then. They could improve the offerings, which were just fair. He got the NY strip steak and smoked gouda Mac n cheese, I got the crab cake and the loaded baked potato. Everything was phenomenal. As simple as a loaded baked potato is, this one was one of the best I've ever had and I've had my share... The ambience is very romantic and cozy. I went very traditional: classic dirty vodka martini, Shrimp Cocktail, and the Filet Mignon. The shrimp were excellent, the steak delicious and cooked perfectly. No room for dessert While not inexpensive, my statement about the value for the money is based on my observation that any place that serves food at the same price/quality that I'd find at home, is a value. Let me start off by saying it was a pleasure to have Tender at the Luxor as I might of likely perished without it. I had myself the three course special starting with the Caesar salad which uses house made rye croutons. The rye added a nice profile to the Caesar that I found fantastic. I'm a huge Caesar fanatic and would enjoy it before my meal any night of the week. For the main course I went with the pepper crusted 18oz ribeye. It came with the Jack'd up onions, garlic mashed potatoes, and a chimicurri. All together it was exactly what I was looking for. The shishito pepper was a great touch for that extra flavorful bite. I finished it with the Pot De Creme which was a light whipped cream with delectable crunchies of cocoa and caramel. I of course had a boulevardier to wash all this down to stay hydrated in this desert environment . Mike the bartender added to the enjoyment for the evening, a true pleasure to have at the bar. Lana, the best hostess in the world, is warm, inviting and is very professional. Any questions you have, she will definitely find you an answer and help you in every way, always with a smile. Our favorite server is Juan. Juan has been with the Luxor for 30 years. He knows the menu inside and out. His timing is impeccable. Juan's recommendations are spot on. Some of our favorite meals are the filet mignon, rib eye and if you are really hungry, I highly recommend the tomahawk dinner. One thing is for sure, you will never leave hungry.
