I had a surgery in October of 2022 at Tennessee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC). Five months post surgery…read moremy figure started to become disfigured, and today I can't even put my right hand into my pocket because the finger is bent/ disfigured. They have refused to see me, answer my emails, answer questions on my patient portal, or return calls. TOC's reason for not wanting to help? I owe them money. My insurance company paid $16,449.53, I paid $1,219.13 (10/20/22) before the surgery took place, and have made multiple smaller payments on the account since. I even went in and spoke to someone, offered to pay cash to have my finger looked at, and they declined to see me. Feel free to look at my other reviews. I HATE leaving a bad review for anyone. I have a right hand that's barely functional without an enormous amount of pain, and negative reports on my credit, all for a surgery that was suppose to fix my broken finger, not make it worse. The images of the bent finger are from 3.25.2024, and I cannot straighten it. Patient Portal picture is multiple emails sent with NO response. Pictures with stitches were post op.

Overall the facility is large, great parking and dropoff, and nearby the main UT hospital. The staff end-to-end was very helpful with no concerns here. The quality of care and attention to detail on reviewing her situation and needs was good. The only issue I observed was the amount of distance they were having folks walk at times (that have some type of mobility issue). Perhaps staff to help move the more challenged folks (in the absence of their own approved/owned mobility gear) would be a nice touch. We'll be back a few times more, but hopefully not to come back ongoing!

The front desk clerk is always friendly and welcoming. They also work hard to make your return visits to fit in your schedule. In the center of the room is an island composed of adjustable desks and a medical supplies cart that all the therapist a stand around communicating with each other and documenting, waiting for their patients to complete their specific exercise. I enjoyed the enduring conversation of teaching and encouragement of the students that are working their way to earn their doctorate degree. I like that they give you a choice to keep a single therapist, although all the therapists act as a team and help out if your therapist gets stuck on another patient. I feel confident with the therapists. Alex is my favorite. They are vet friendly and work with the VA.

It took 10 minutes to get them to stop as the operator ignored the alarm. The surgery solved the problem but I was not given a plan for therapy or suggestions to help me walk. On my own. I called to get a referral authorization for PT. The nurse is not responsive and my request to speak to the doctor was refused. I would not recommend this clinic if you have joint issues.

The charming lady that helped me check in couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The nice young lady that greeted me and took me back to the examination room, the x-ray tech was great, they all were very personable and knowledgeable. The facility is impressive and clean. Me: (as he is starting to clean area but not where normally placed) That's not where I usually get the shot ..which always works and im able to kayak and assume normal activities the next day ". The doc. "Well, this is where SURGEONS put it.". Proceeds to put at base of finger. Two days later I call office and tell them to note that exchange in my chart as it didn't seem to help.. called 2 weeks later. Still no help and then I got a bill. Please pay 165 to us for the shot. I call again and ask to have reviewed since I had called 2x to say hadn't helped. They called back. A woman with a voice who seemed to be expecting confrontation told me " you signed a consent form, so you have to pay". Not going back.
