We've gone here twice, and we had a lot of fun! The sign is visible from the street, and there are arrows to guide you to the entrance. Arrive to the park with a stable vehicle and full tank of gas (we decided to rent a car). The safety guidelines are listed on arrival, before the ticket booth, and repeated to you before entering the park. Safety is entirely your responsibility. Pricing depends on how many passengers you have and how many bowls of feed you purchase. The gift shop is spacious with snacks, gifts, clean restrooms, and carrots for the giraffes. There is also a petting zoo and drive in movie theater. The trail has no pit stops, so take care of restroom breaks and the kiddos BEFORE driving. Once you enter, the animals show you the ropes and there are signs to guide you. There are camels, ostriches, zebras, bison, water buffalo, and plenty of deer and other animals. As the trail progresses, it seemed that the llamas and alpacas have joined forces to maximize meal time, so save some feed for them. The trail wraps up with the giraffes waiting at the gate for their carrot sticks. I highly recommend this for animal lovers, a day trip with the family, an activity with friends, or even a date.

This place was great. I heard it was "ok" and I'd say WAY better than "ok." You buy a bowl of food when you purchase tickets. So your self a favor and either bring a few white plastic bowls (cool whip containers) or smaller cups to put feed I. So you don't lose it all with that one poop head animal that takes it outta your hands no matter how hard you hold the food lol. Super clean place inside and out and the bathrooms have hot running water (thank you). I could go here once a week, maybe they have a membership to look into. Went on a Thursday and there were only a few people there. A total must if in the area!!

The animals won this time, but it was such a fun experience being out in nature and feeding them. I went around 11am, and the wait time for purchasing tickets and getting feeding cups was short. Some animals were quite eager and took two of the feeding cups, but luckily, I had purchased four. The safari park is a great getaway for kids, family, and friends. I'll definitely be returning for Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful time. The different animals were amazing and we had fun feeding them. The staff was friendly, informative and helpful. After the guide finished showing us through the sloth barn, he even helped find an item we had lost. One suggestion. Stop by and schedule the sloth barn tour first. We can't wait to go back.

At the tennessee safari park, we drove about an hour and 22 minute we were told that the park is believed to have captive breeding and public education. Would you keep on it for the survival of mini species? We are excited with Susie as I would love to show my boys, the collection of the worlds most rare in endangered species-- Oh admission prices for adults $24 admission for children two and up $16 and then there's different prices for senior citizen but it's posted up when you pull up at the gate. All of the prices are all posted and listed at their entrance just if you need to verify pricing, you can always go to the website they're open year-round, but they do have ours Like from 10 to 4 Monday through Thursday I believe and then I believe Saturday and Sunday is around that same time but again go to the website because I know at 4 o'clock they will take the last car in line at four in the U entrance inside the gate but no other cars are amid it after this time and then the park is still close at 5 PM Oh I didn't want to forget this. There is a gift shop in the middle so washer finish doing the drive around four after you finish all the animals did you go to park your vehicle and you can go into like the visitor/gift shop. And then you can decide if you want to make purchases on And some of the Bears and toys and replica items Lumineers stuff like that then you leave out of there and then you can head to the Pettey and that's when you get a chance to see like the Billy goats and the other baby animals and peacocks in closer up at the Terrell and things like that so it's really good to get the kiddos out something different to do if you did everything this summer add this on your list. If you already been here before and the kids are couple years older now bring them back again you never know what you may news. You never know what they remember or go ahead I didn't see that last time it was a cool thing to add to your summer fun and again they're open year-round, but check the website for opening enclosures.

The Safari Park is a fascinating place to discover and interact with some of the most desirable animals in the world. We came on a misty, rainy day and we could not have enjoyed the park more. There is a section that you can walk around in and see the animals and exotic birds. There is also a drive through part. We did both and enjoyed every minute! The only thing that I would add is signs on the fences stating exactly what the animals were that we were seeing. The paper given when you pay the $20 park fee per adult only gives you a list of the animals; some we could not figure out what they were.

Great local fun, enjoyable for the entire family from 8 months to 80. You stay in your vehicle and drive through the 5.5 acres and see animals in their habitat. It is a zoo in your car. Buy plenty of food for the animals because some are aggressive and at take the entire bucket from your hands. Be prepared to wash ur vehicle afterwards because the animals literally walk right up to your door. No concession stand so have snacks and water for yourself.

This was a very pleasant surprise. We've seen the signs from the road every time we've traveled on I40. It was a place we put on our list to visit should we have a hanging weekend with nothing to do but have an itch to get outdoors. I'm glad we did. BRING CASH TO GET IN!!! The entry line was pretty long but moved along well. The staff was friendly and informative should your visit be your first. Initially I thought the cost was a little steep for a "billboard attraction" but by the end, I had no major issues with the cost ($16 per adult, $12 per child/$3 per bucket of feed or $10 for 4). The beginning of the riding safari was a little congested due to high visitor volume, but it cleared out well about a quarter of the way through. After that, the spacing between the cars was manageable and the animals were plentiful. Note, the ostriches and camels were the most "friendly" animals. The ostrich learned how to casually stand in front of your vehicle in order to make you stop and then fully investigate your willingness to give food by entering your window. The camels equally gamed the system by knowing all they needed to do to eat more was to not so gently (but not dangerously) get you to drop your feed bucket by pulling it out of your hands with their mouth. All of the other animals were calm and easy going while feeding. Our girls, 3 and 5 years old, were more than capable of handling the action on their own except the camels. We learned a strategic lesson on feeding as well. Pro-Tip, don't get too excited in the early parts of the safari. If you can resist the initial urges to feed everything you see, you'll have tons more animals near the later parts of the ride to interact with. Plus, there will be less visitor traffic around competing for the animals' attention. And as a final plus, the animals will be more willing to come to your car with less traffic around. The walking and petting zoo was a nice small addition to the overall park experience. You can buy carrots for the giraffes and seed sticks for the parakeets. The best part was having parakeets land on your seed sticks as you or your child was holding them. There were also goats to pet, various monkeys, lemurs, and other animals. Peacocks freely roamed the grounds and other exotic birds were on display. All in all, this was a nice day out and great option to visit should you be in the area. P.S. AGAIN, DON'T FORGET TO BRING CASH!!! There is an ATM nearby at a local bank which we had to visit. I don't think there's an ATM on site. Moreover, you have to pay cash to enter the grounds.

So so so much fun! Highly recommend this place. We had a blast feeding the animals. Plus the walk thru petting zoo was cool. Love this place.

This llama didn't want my food... he wanted my hair!

We saw the signs, and nothing says road trip like taking a spontaneous detour to a safari park! THIS WAS SO INCREDIBLY FUN! *CASH ONLY* We only bought 2 buckets between the 2 of us... which was a huge mistake! I WANTED TO FEED ALL THE LLAMAS!! Skip the zoo, come to the safari! You'll get a memorable, interactive experience that you'll never forget. NOTE: You must stay in your vehicle and drive slowly as you pass through each section. The first section includes zebras and emus/ostriches. The zebras are beautiful, they are strong so hold your buckets tight! THE OSTRICHES/EMUS ARE EVERYWHERE. SOME WILL RUN AS SOON AS THEY SEE YOUR CAR & when they get there, they WILL peck at your window if it's closed. Lots of llamas, lots of happiness. But also, lots of emus/ostriches, lots of scariness. Be careful of the stronger animals, as they will steal your entire bucket!!

How big is this place? Estimated time that you would spend there?

I'd say at least a half day. The safari itself is wide and there's also a petting zoo.

It's all the way in Collierville so expect to get there in 45min - 1hr. It was also difficult to locate b/c it was a in a residential subdivision/neighborhood. I was luckily behind the school bus and was able to follow them; otherwise, I would have missed it 10x. - Price: Meh...it was like $15.00/kid & $5.00/chaperon through the school; however, when we got there they were also charging $2.00 for parking which was not disclosed (school's fault). Luckily, I had cash; otherwise, not sure what other options I would have had. - Farm: Really there wasn't much other than chickens running around, a few goats to feed, a lake with catfish to feed, and a tractor and train that drove you around for a few minutes. We really didn't get to see any other animals but from far. Overall - go to the Memphis Zoo :)

They have lots adorable and friendly animals that are well cared for. It's well organized and my daughter always has an absolute blast. It's well worth the 2 hours of driving a day to take her to and from during her camp week. Every complaint I've seen have seen about this facility has been in regards to the animals that reside there doing as they please. Please keep in mind that is their home. They live there. It's a FARM. Don't schedule your kids events at a farm if you're not willing to share space with the animals that live there. Isn't that the whole point in going there? It wouldn't be what it is if all of the animals were all locked in cages. I personally love going there and seeing all of these animals running around live their best life and being well loved by the owners.
