It was a gorgeous sight to start our day with each morning. My husband jogged around early in the day and enjoyed the peace. The kids loved the large grassy areas to frolick in, the ponds to bird watch, the playground by the hotel, the splashpad, skatepark, and especially the turfed soccer arena. It was also nice to do at multiple cafes to sit for a drink or app.

In mijn tijd als lid heb ik twee keer melding gedaan van een situatie die ik als discriminerend en sociaal onveilig heb ervaren. Op deze meldingen heb ik, tot mijn teleurstelling, nooit een inhoudelijke reactie van het bestuur ontvangen. Het uitblijven van reactie gaf mij het gevoel dat mijn zorgen niet serieus werden genomen. Dit heeft voor mij een grote mentale impact gehad en maakte dat ik mij niet meer veilig voelde binnen de club. Uiteindelijk was dit voor mij de reden om mijn lidmaatschap te beëindigen. Bijna een jaar later heb ik mijn ervaring nogmaals per e‑mail gedeeld. Ook hierop heb ik tot op heden geen reactie ontvangen. Ik deel dit met de hoop dat de club in de toekomst meldingen van leden serieuzer oppakt en beter communiceert over dit soort situaties, zodat anderen zich wel gehoord en veilig kunnen voelen."
