This beach is pristine and rarely gets very busy. One of Adelaide's slightly hidden gems.
The easiest way to access this beach is via the Tennyson Heights carpark on Military Road. After parking, there are two access paths. The one to the right has information signage and doggy poo bags as well as a viewing platform. Both paths seem about the same distance. It's a reasonably steep climb, so for some people access to this beach might be difficult.
There also are no toilets or taps for washing feet or giving dogs a drink, so come prepared.
It is a really wide beach and so much space for dogs to run around. There is sometimes a bit of seaweed, but most times it is clear or only a tiny bit of seaweed. It is so very beautiful.
The dog leash restrictions are the same as the other local beaches - on leash between 10am-8pm during daylight saving.
The best tip I can offer is to look behind you once you get onto the beach and note a landmark to return by. Each access path has a yellow bin and they all look the same! read more
