This is another shop that really doesn't take a great deal of imagination to discern what it is…read morethat they deal in. You can take a guess and unless there is something really wrong, your guess will be correct. These guys do sunglasses. It's no so much a hut as a little booth or four walled stall but it is really easy to find, right on the corner of The Core (the newly developed shopping centre in Leeds) at the entrance. It faces the Headrow and you can't miss it! Inside you will find all manner of different shapes, sizes and brands of sunglasses at a range of prices. I am more of a bargain hunter so I'd pick my sunnies from a charity shop for some vintage chic stylings, but I am more than aware there are a great deal of people out there who like to brandish the big names. It seems silly to me to advertise a huge company, not only freely but at an inflated cost for the item itself, but I am familiar with the concept that there is a status and style implied by some designer sunglasses! For such style and status, Sunglass Hut is the place for you. Inside they have more brands than I was aware existed and, as demonstrated by their website, they know the styles that are in at this moment - such as 'geek chic' and 'wayfarers'! Pretty cool.

Personally I think sunglasses are for people who aren't tough enough to squint so I generally negotiate my summers the Clint Eastwood way but even I can appreciate the lure of this store, it's just so shiny and posh- like the toilets of a really exclusive nightclub!!
