The stage was set for our second bowling challenge and also as a mini uni reunion, we had been to Tenpin 2 years earlier and had returned as we enjoyed the facilities offered. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and paid for our two game sessions, which come to £12.50 per person, pretty cheap for London standards. Unlike other bowling alleys we were offered the choice of using bowling shoes or we could use our normal shoes - we decided to stick with our current footwear. We were allocated our alley, however, we asked to be moved down to a quieter spot and the member of staff happily moved us over without any question. We were visiting the alley on a Sunday at 13:00 and there were already a few families bowling. It seemed to have picked up at around 15:00 with more people turning up to play, so it would be a good idea to try arrive earlier to avoid the rush. As far as London bowling alleys go Tenpin certainly has the space and number of lanes for all size groups, it has a fully licensed bar and a pretty standard fast food style menu with burgers, chips and nachos (be sure to order with cheese as this doesn't come as standard). Attached to the bowling alley is an arcade with all the usual games including; Time Crisis, Dance Dance Revolution, Air Hockey and my personal favourite PacMan Smash air hockey (see photo). The venue also has several pool tables and table tennis available. If the fried fast food menu doesn't tickle your fancy there are several restaurants in the local area including Nandos, Pizzahut or Burger King. All in all this is a fun day out with a fair amount of activities available at a decent price. We will no doubt be back next year to continue our bowling challenge come reunion. read more
A bowling place with a fun arcade, and ... lousy food (mostly fried) and ok drinks. It's mostly clean, but the shoe rental area next to the bowling lanes is chaotic and dirty. Staff there was rude and indifferent. The arcade is fun. The DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) was great fun. Pretty much what you'd expect from an arcade. read more

This megabowl is really a place to be at, open all days of the week you can easily choose when to go and it always has regular good offers on. You could join the Bowlclub and use your vouchers and discounts for even better deals. Set in the lovely leisure park parking is free and good. It also shares its massive place and space with macdonalds, amusements, pool tables and much more, you can never get bored with loads of seating and loads to do. You can also have kids birthdays in their and get them a deal with food, drink and bowling. read more

A good place to go and chill for a couple of hours. There are alot of arcade machines, air hockey, pool tables and of course bowling lanes available. Prices are reasonable and there is no entry fee. Car park is free here but i know in some other mega bowls you have to pay and display. It does get quite noisy at times, usually on the weekend or during schook holidays but that has to be expected. Biggest problem i have faced has always been the lack of working pool tables. On average 2 tables out of every 8 don't work and don't even have out of order signs displayed so you only realise when you put your money in and the balls aren't released. Normally the guy on duty will sort the situation out but be careful as it is annoying and sometimes time consuming. read more
This is my local bowling place and I have been here so many times during my childhood, I have lost count! It hasn't changed much over the years. Its still the same old place, it has been refurbished and still attracts the same teen/young adults/family crowd. Its good to come for a bowling game if your local, there is a bar area but I have never had any alcoholic drinks here so can't comment on that. Never eaten here either, normally come and play one or two games and then either go to one of the restaurants nearby or head back home. read more

Wow, this place has gone downhill over the years... Staff think they're 'hard' and are rude and intimidating towards customers, management do not care about this either! Not much entertainment here any more, just a place to throw £1 after £1 to waste time, no real appeal to this place! read more

My kids love this place. It can get busy at the weekends - so to avoid waiting for a lane I always book online first! Also there are quite a few vouchers knocking around on the vouchers sites. Food could be better - its McDonalds unfortunately! read more
