The pancakes were delicious - especially because I've been missing them when traveling. But my tortilla took a really long time to come, basically to the point where everyone was done eating already. However, once it did arrive it was amazing and everyone wished they had ordered it. I came back another day for lunch and the service was very slow. I got a wrap and it was good, but nothing to write home about. The last visit was the worst. My friend and I both ordered the tortilla because I had raved about how good it was. This time it took even longer to get our food and there weren't even many people around. When we finally got them, they were burned.

Yet another excellent ice cream chain in Argentina -- it's hard to go wrong with so many good…read morehelado places. They also serve coffee drinks and sandwiches, but I can only speak for their (very good) ice cream. There are quite a few Wollen locations around Cordoba, but this one seemed to be one of the larger stores, with indoor and outdoor seating. It's open quite late, like most cafes and restaurants, so don't worry, it'll still be open even after a late Argentine dinner. You pay for what you want at the register first, then go over to the ice cream case to choose your flavor. The large menu board shows their flavors, although it's a little unclear at first which are ice creams vs. sorbets or whatever. I tried the pineapple (anana), correctly suspecting it would be a sorbet, and didn't love it enough to get it. The "Crema Wollen" flavors are where you'll find the mascarpone, which is a must-try if you like cheesecake: it's a sweet, light mascarpone-flavored cream with a generous berry fruit swirl. It's almost overwhelmingly sweet and rich, but in a good way! They also have "sambayon," that mysterious South American flavor that's like an egg custard with sweet wine. The dulce de leche granizado (with chocolate chunks) was good, not the very best we had in Argentina, but definitely worth trying. The single-scoop "cucurucho" (cone) is a large portion and more than enough for a dessert or snack -- see my photo. You can try a sample or two before you commit, so don't be afraid to try something unusual! Enjoy some people-watching day or night at the outside tables after a long day of walking around and sightseeing.
